"It's one o'clock, we need to get to bed". The 6pm shadows would suggest otherwise...

Rory having an affair with married Dean would be a wild development. I'd be up for it, though I can't imagine the show / audience would ever go that far off the wholesome rails, even if we did celebrate Buffy-esque underage drinking this episode....

Can't wait for you guys to watch the next few eps and the season finale! Some great stuff ahead.

Rory knows more than she leads on to... she likes to play dumb and innocent, but she's only fooling herself! She's socially behind when it comes to guys and relationships. She's still a virgin, and at her age, that's pretty rare! She has a lot of growing up to do!

I've always liked the "Spring Break" moment. One, because it strengthens Rory and Paris's friendship. They are so much alike somehow, Paris being completely unhinged with no social skills (in terms of politeness and respect, but it's still funny). Two, because as an introvert, I feel like I would have done something close to what they did: Spring Break is "supposed to be" about partying, drinking, flirting. Fine, but what if you don't do that? You can still go to a sunny place, pick a book and some good films and stay at the hotel with a pizza! Why not ? I would be so tired to party every night, go to clubs, this is just not my thing. And seeing characters in a TV show about teenagers watching an old program with junk food while other people are doing stupid things ouside, it makes me very happy :p But I also like that they are trying anyway and having some kind of fun in the end with Madeline and Louise. I know they're a bit dense and Madeline calling Dean was stupid, but that's sadly relatable : when you're drunk, you're bound to make stupid decisions. And that song with The Shins is on my playlist, I listen to it regularly !

Garden state may not be my favourite movie of all time but it does contain my favourite dialogue/scene of all time. And that is not hyperbole! Enough gets talked about the Grammy winning soundtrack but there’s a scene in the pool with Zach Braff and Natalie Portman that just lays bare such a fundamental universal truth in words you would have felt but never articulated that way! It’s a speech about home and what it means that hits you like a freight train.
