I like how we're set up with Bunny dying in Mabel's home, saying Charles' name with her dying breath, and Oliver with the motive to kill her. Even without the painting showing up in Charles' home, they're all already compelled to get involved.

Honestly, I didn't connect her saying "Savage" to Charles, but that definitely complicates things further moving forward.

I loved that - what a fun first episode! You’re right, this is more complex and messier than the first season. Although, I feel like they can do that now that we’re already introduced to the core characters. And I was going to say that I loved Bunny’s decor, but after hearing about/seeing her paintings…maybe not all of it, lol. The Tina Fey bits were hilarious. “What are you knitting?…Ooo, Indiana.” I once taught a college roommate how to knit, and after about a year he gifted me a teeny tiny blanket that looked just like that…with some interesting anomalies: “There’s a button hole in the middle, how did you do that?”/ “I don’t know!” 🤣 I'm also interested to see what role Amy Schumer is going to play. I think it'd be funny if she, like Sting, was a red herring - especially if she's also living in the penthouse.

Charles's full name is Charles Haden Savage. The character played by Jackie Hoffman is named Uma. (I couldn't keep track of it all on my first viewing either. I have the advantage of having watched multiple times now.) I so envy you guys being able to move on to the next season in a week! -- we first-timers had to wait 9 months.

Such a great opening episode and it really sets the scene for the rest of the season. The writing is brilliant, the one liners especially. I am constantly laughing throughout, especially at Oliver.

The fact that this season has Michael Rapaport and Amy Schumer - two people I cannot stand - and I still absolutely love it is a testament to how well written the show is. I can honestly say that I even *enjoy* Schumer's performance, which is something I never thought I'd say! And Jackie Hoffman is killing it as always! The way she says "balls forward" knocks me out lol.

I paused at 21:30 mark randomly and when I came back I was like “wait did I click into a new girl reaction”. That has to be the same exterior, no?

Similar thoughts. I profoundly dislike those two as people (glad I'm not the only one here!). But I have a feeling this season--first time watching the show--is going to be great nonetheless!

I hate Amy Schumer so when I saw her pop up it was "Oh God, not her..." but agree that this was well done. Her stand up is just filth- it's not funny- so was pleasantly surprised. I never heard of Rapaport so Googled him and in my opinion he is just another extremist supporting genocide....
