thinking about Sorkin and relationships... we had things like Josh & Donna in West Wing. That was boucing around for a loooong while. I guess he just could not decide whether he wanted to keep it as this brother-sister story or go down the road... thinking about it, suddenly I'm not even 100% sure if it turned obviously potentially romantic already in the Sorkin area, although I think SOME jealosy stories were already there in his time. And now, we have potential interest between Jordan & Danny, Matt and Harry... lots of work related relationships. Well, I guess, that comes naturally from having a worplace based series.

It does seem like Sorkin's shows are always about people addicted to work, so when he wants to create a romantic dynamic, it is always between colleagues.

As romantic a song as Sting's Fields of Gold is, for me it is even more so for it's connection to Matt and Harry in this last scene. The muse to our creativity that will always be special to us even when not together. These two embody that imperfect, perfect love that we can't let go of. As I know Kevin at one point started reading Harry Potter I wanted to highlight a line from the first book that sums up Matt and Harry from what we've seen so far. In Harry's case it wasn't romantic love but in reference to seeing his family in the mirror of Erised when Rowling writes "He had a powerful kind of ache inside him. Half joy, half terrible sadness".
