Wait... hold up... you've never seen Dazed & Confused?!? 🤯

Krista C

I would be so excited for Nobody's Fool's or Homeward Bound!

cruzinbosco

Homeward Bound is one of my favorite movies of all-time, so I voted for that too but I also voted for Romy & Michelle. CLASSIC.

Youtalkingtome

No! When I was a kid, I never watched movies about kids older than me; it always made me feel like nerd.

Peggy G

Just means you were destined to watch it for the channel! 😁

WaitAMinute

Lots of good choices, but have to go with Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion. Love that film so much, a favourite of mine.

nj

several of these are "must watch and preferably for the channel," but i have to go with the current frontrunner (romy & michele) as the place to start. it's infinitely quotable and such good fun.

Cristy

The Big Chill for me, the soundtrack and cast are awesome. But Peggy Sue and Romy and Michelle's HSR are also fun.

I🖤Kraken

American Graffiti & Big Chill are star-studded masterpieces accurately reflecting the 70s & 80s times like no other. (Then came Pretty in Pink--And I lost my angsty tween mind!)

Michelle

I can't say most of the things I want to say because they're too spoiler-ish, but this is a great list. I'm very interested to see what wins.

acidnova

Oh, this is WILD! I just rewatched Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion two days ago and was thinking that maybe I should add it to my personal list of movies to eventually recommened to you guys! Imagine my surprise when I saw this poll today!

danzthename

Romy and Michelle is so funny!

Yes, there are more than a few must sees on this one. I added my vote for two, just to make it more competitive: The Big Chill, and Peggy Sue Got Married. Dazed & Confused was an instant classic for me; I did not see American Graffiti until later in my 40s, and was very impressed.

mogelijk

American Graffiti is such a classic, particularly in that it is George Lucas before Star Wars and had an amazing cast (Ron Howard, Richard Dreyfus, a pre-Han Solo Harrison Ford, Cindy Williams, and more. It does a great job of putting you in that 50s/60s teen culture. In many ways, the Big Chill shows a similar group of friends from the American Graffiti time period, but now in their 30s and dealing with the death of one of their friends. Again, an amazing all-star cast: Glenn Close, Kevin Kline, William Hurt, Jeff Goldblum, Kevin Costner, Mary Kay Place, JoBeth Williams; whose talents are fully on display. It is also an interesting commentary on how people deal with death and the strains and bonding that it puts on a group of friends that have been slowly drifting apart.

Andy Schreiber

These are all great films, but I've put in my vote for Peggy Sue Got Married, a favorite of mine that gets far too little attention.

Jennifer H

Alright, alright, alright. Dazed and Confused gets my vote. Besides having a great cast & awesome soundtrack, it's set in the year I was born & was released the year before I graduated HS. When I think of movies from the 90's rise of the indie filmakers, this one always makes the list, second only to Reservoir Dogs.

John Marnell

There's a newer movie that maybe fits this theme that I can't recommend highly enough as an option to watch sometime in the future: Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie It isn't on streaming services yet except for as a paid rental, but when it is I think you guys would absolutely LOVE IT. Best to know nothing going in other than that it's based on an old TV series from 2 Canadians who try to come up with various schemes that will earn them a gig at a specific theatre in Toronto. Saw it with my buddy back in January even though neither of us had seen the show it's based on and it's the hardest either of us have laughed in a movie theatre this decade,

Cosmic Slice

Omg...The Big Chill is such a good movie and Peggy Sue Got Married is **so** funny.

Ashley Thomas

i also went with the big chill and peggy sue got married!

Roland

Not sure I've seen any of these except (the excellent) Terms Of Endearment, so voted for Dazed since it seemed like the biggest hole. 🙂

Daniel Bickermann

*sniff* Nobody's Fool doesn't get any love, but it's a genuinely tender and smart movie that has given me solace in dark and lonely times and has actually taught me a lot about life.

Tim Miller

Homeward Bound and Dazed and Confused are absolute classics, really hope one of them wins!

Brandon

I'm around the same age as most of the cast, so seeing them all super young now is a fun time capsule for me.

Daniel Lydford

Many good films on this list, but Dazed and Confused is the most iconic in terms of the dialogue, and the cast.

Sly_Budlong

My vote for Homeward Bound may not win, but that movie absolutely brings the tears!! 😭

Cramdeon1969

Solid Choices. Sooner or later 'The Big Chill' based on how stacked that cast was and the big one that missed out.

Statmanjeff

never saw this poll till now

Statmanjeff

Terms of Endearment?!? I can't say why I hated it without spoiling it for you guys. I actively hate it to this day. Peggy Sue and Big Chill and High School Reunion are so much more appealing.
