Just so you're aware, I've been watching Blackadder on Amazon Prime (after canceling Hulu a few weeks ago). Everything is in sync with the version you're now watching on Peacock (which I also have, but I couldn't find Blackadder there...it's a very confusing world). I've been enjoying season 2 with you, but season 3 is my favorite, so I'm really looking forward to your reactions.

Thanks! I'm not sure if Blackadder was on Peacock before it was taken off Hulu, but if this BBC version is in better shape, I'm all for it.

This was a blast. I feel like the rate of jokes in this was a bot quicker than in previous episodes.

Fry and Laurie were at Cambridge together, along with Emma Thompson. I think A Bit of Fry and Laurie overlaps with season 4, and definitely overlaps with Jeeves & Wooster.

The burning Catholics remarks while is a bit of "Truth and Reconciliation" on the part of the BBC and Rowan Atkinson

I have a thingy shaped like a turnip 😂😂😂

Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie were my favourite double-act growing up. I adore A Bit of Fry and Laurie (I have all the DVDs somewhere) as well as Jeeves and Wooster - they work so well together. There was a movie called Peter's Friends made in 1992, directed by Kenneth Branagh, which I have a fondness for as Fry and Laurie got to act alongside their long-time friends Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson and Imelda Staunton (Umbridge from Harry Potter). Thompson, Laurie and Staunton would also work together in Sense and Sensibility (1995). I love seeing how casting choices in movies and shows reveals who was friends with who at the time.

That sounds awesome! I didn't know they made a film together

Terry Cooper

A lot more Hugh Laurie to come in series 3 and 4.

Season 3 is my favourite too. Not long to go now.

As someone who tried watching along on DVD starting at the first season, Hulu did NOT have DVD versions. Mercifully my DVD synced perfectly the whole time with this watch along! The first time I watched the series Baldrick's line about having a "thingy shaped like a turnip" was my favorite line in the series.

Alex

Is it just me or is the episode sound out of sync with the video?
