Clare Manion

Well, it’s official then - Alice is *the worst*. I kind of doubt she’s the murderer at this point, but oh my God, her “reenactment” thing was beyond poor taste. And for a ‘friend’! Can you imagine? How cruel. Agreed - Cinda is looking very suspicious now. Although, I’m not sure how the drama around the painting ties in if it’s her. Unless it’s just another way of adding salacious detail for her podcast…which sounds like it might be par for the course, so maybe. This season is quite a bit more complicated, but a lot of fun.

Feeling really bad for Mabel this week. Are we through with Alice? At this point she is worse than Jan -- This is personal betrayal, exploitation, art theft -- she's probably not the murderer or even connected with the murder, but at this point I have much greater sympathy for Jan. As the only podcast member who is not well off, white, or male, Mabel seems particularly vulnerable here. Come to think of it she is also the only one who doesn't have a public face. She's seen her friend Oscar get railroaded by the justice system already and she can't not be thinking about that. Might she spend all of episode 7 in hiding? And how is it that Cinda was already set up outside the building and recording the night of Bunny's murder?

Any recognition for Andrea Martin, playing Charles's hair-and-makeup friend on the Brazes set? She was part of the classic SCTV cast, alongside Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, John Candy, and others. I saw her in a musical in NYC just last month, and she's still stellar.

I definitely didn't register ho weird it was that Cinda was already outside the Arconia when the crew was arrested. Alice is a manipulator.

I must have seen her in something else; I recognize her, but never really watched SCTV.

I love how much messier this season is. I can feel how exasperated the leads are at how many legitimately off-putting suspects are in their circle. This almost feels like a 70's paranoia thriller, and I love it.

While I still hope Alice isn't the murderer (would be a letdown to have the killer be the new significant other for the second season in a row), yikes! And our poor three mains are all going through it, especially Mabel and Oliver.

Getting thrown down an elevator shaft, you say?

I remember the first time I watched this episode and feeling physically sick when Mabel turned up at Alice's "exhibit". I love the blurry focus on the camera and muted sound to show us Mabel's reaction. And it's very clear now why Alice is struggling in the art therapy world, and it's nothing to do with her humble beginnings; I think she is genuinely trying to help - Mabel did feel better when she destroyed the sculpture a few episodes ago - but she has NO IDEA where to draw the line. It's such a shame, if Alice could just put her ego aside she and Mabel could be so good for each other.

And Short's sister in law! I think they've since divorced but Andrea married Marty's brother in law.

DelGuy03

Yes, that marriage ended in 2004. But it remains a cool connection between the two. The Second City comedy companies, whether in Chicago, New York, or Toronto, have given us an unimaginable number of great actors and comedians.

Great episode and a great mystery!
