I cannot wait to see your reaction to the finale...and to see if you catch the breadcrumbs they have laid down.

Paul Komoroski

Powerful episode. One my favorites of the show so far. And while it would've been a small thing to wait, I nonetheless appreciate you two being willing to drop the reaction on a holiday.

I haven't seen this episode in a while -- it's a corker, beautifully conceived and beautifully made. And acted.

Jamie Morgan

This is a fantastic episode, Selena Gomez and James Caverly have amazing chemistry, and the visual of Mabel sitting on the floor while the puzzle pieces float up around her is stunning! The next episode is my personal favourite of the whole series (so far), really looking forward to your reaction!!

Awesome! I was blown away by the scene of Mabel flipping the puzzle pieces to access her memory. What a well-crafted use of symbolism.

The story with Mabel's dad is a little rough for me right now... very different situation than Mabel losing her dad to cancer as a kid but it's still hard. I'm a 39-year-old adult, my dad is in his 80s and he's lived a good long life, but he is in the terminal stage of brain cancer now.

Da'Vine being able to sing like that is just another example of God giving with both hands

He graduated from Gallaudet so you know he's pretty smart cookie.

I'm sorry to hear that. I lost my dad to bowel cancer & Parkinson's when I was 28, it is just so tough losing a parent, there's no other experience like it. I hope you get to spend lots of time with him before the time comes!

I've missed Da'Vine Joy Randolph so much, she's great.

I lost my dad early Monday morning. All his family- my mom, my brothers, his granddaughter, his daughters-in-law- did get to spend a lot of time with him over the last few weeks but he hadn't really been lucid for the last few months. I just don't know how much he was even aware in there for most of that time. We knew this was coming for a while so I'd accepted as much as I could that he was dying, but I don't think I'll ever get over not really being able to say goodbye when he still knew who I was.

i’m so sorry, to everyone in this comment thread [edit: to both of you, i guess. dys, i thought your second comment was from a third person. so 2x the love for you.] i lost my dad at the end of january. we knew it was coming, but it went faster than anyone expected - he passed while my flight was landing, so i made it to the hospital about an hour too late. to paraphrase a character from another show i love - it’s always sudden. even when it’s not. my heart goes out to you all [both].

" it’s always sudden. even when it’s not." nj, I don't know if I'll be able to handle it when they get to that quote. It rings so true to what I experienced. That line comes from the best episode of television of all time. Joe & Kevin will get there at some point.
