Cristy

Thank you!

Paul Komoroski

Re: eating it straight, most dips no; but if I run out of chips and there's still guac left, I'll gladly eat the remainder of the guac by itself. Btw guys, while I'm commenting anyway, I just want to say thank you. These Only Murders episodes and the Buffy episodes are something to look forward to each week. Such small things make a big difference.

Cristy

I am such a dip fiend, Oliver and I are kindred spirits (I also hate walking up a lot of stairs).

Jamie Morgan

I'll add my voice to this! I'm on disability and unable to work at the moment, and life was getting a bit monotonous but between OMitB, Buffy and Brooklyn 99, my weeks go a little bit faster now :)

Jamie Morgan

God, I love this episode, the pacing is pristine. The 'Sound of Silence' bit perfectly cuts the tension, but they avoid it being too schmaltzy by having Howard yodel his way through it lol. And we finally humanised Nina a little bit! Also, Jesus Christ, Kevin, your ex sounds like a nightmare. Well done for saving the cat!

Suzanne Whyte

Seriously, Howard was going to give up his cat for someone he just met and hadn’t even gone on a single date with? I know he only just got the cat but I wouldn’t go out with someone who is willing to do that. Kevin - I love whenever your cat shows up in the videos. Good on you for taking her.

Suzanne Whyte

Would they really get planning permission to make such drastic changes to a historical building?

Youtalkingtome

For sure, I feel like the city would have a big say in those decisions.

Youtalkingtome

Yeah. Nobody should give up a pet to score a date. I’m glad the guy told Howard not to. And I can’t believe I dated a girl for 2 years who would put her cat to sleep because she couldn’t give her away. But I did. Oof.

Youtalkingtome

I’m really glad Howard had a major win this episode. It was lovely.

Youtalkingtome

Stairs suck. If I had known when I visited the Statue of Liberty last year that “pedestal tickets” meant a hike up 200 stairs, I never would have done it. Total nightmare.

Youtalkingtome

You are so sweet! It’s our pleasure, and we are enjoying them every bit as much as you.

Clare Manion

That was quite the reveal! I like your theory about the possible symbiotic relationship between Rapaport and Cinda. I really don’t get the impression that he’s the brains of the operation, whatever the operation may be, so that makes a lot of sense. Agreed - that was the cutest meet-cute. Yay Howard! Plus the impromptu musical number was fantastic. The concept of “Simon and Garfyodel” is comedic genius. I would love to know what the conversation in the writers room was that lead to that… probably one of those 2am-delirium laugh-til-your-ribs-hurt kinds of talks. Absolutely priceless. P.S. Kevin - the story of how you got your cat is *wild*. Yikes! You’re a good man for taking her in.

Nicholas Reed

Refried beans are basically a dip that you eat with a spoon or fork.

Youtalkingtome

It's the perfect song for it, too. It's iconic (so everyone knows it), and it really is hard not to jump into singing along.

DelGuy03

To be fair, Howard was only proposing to board his cat temporarily with a friend, not give her up. That still seems like overdoing it, but that's Howard.

DelGuy03

I love the idea of this episode (darkness) as a follow-up to a season 1 episode (silence). The writing is just so tight and clever on this show, with all the threads being so well tied together, including the perfect song for a group sing under the circumstances (and giving us our title). And, I believe, the first uttering of the title now used by its fans, OMIT-B.

Youtalkingtome

The writing is top notch and always has been. It just keeps getting better and better

I am on disability too and I'm looking forward to your reacts of OMitB, Gilmore Girls and Studio 60 (and I was so excited when you were watching The West Wing)

Tina

Maybe my autism is showing, but in my mind, Howard was just asking the question. Hypothetically, if (cat not around temporarily), would a date be a possibility. He wasn't offering to give up his cat at all. He was wondering if the hot dude next door was open to a date at all. One never knows, person A might feel sparks flying, but for person B it was a conversation. Hence: Hey hot dude, are you actually interested if I make sure not to accidentally kill you? Just asking for clarification. No offer of cat abandonment!

Tina

I'm watching along with you, and after ep 8 I'm wondering - why couldn't the police guy be the serial killer? After the kid, after the old lady.... Looking forward to seeing this play out!
