Yeh, there was another reaction video of theirs I was watching last week that had noise going on but not that intrusive and Kevin said he was having his deck done. It scared the life out of my cats (and me) when it started up in this one!!

I think Lorelai has always felt like Christopher is in some kind of isolation chamber that has nothing to do with the rest of her life and is nobody else's business (except Rory's). Luke telling her that he was okay with the lunch - which means he thought about *whether he was okay with it - makes her realize that she can't draw those kinds of boundaries and lies of omission if she wants their relationship to work. So she doesn't pick up Christopher's call.

I feel sorry for Marty, and I even identify with him. But as Xander said to Buffy early on "you either feel a thing or you don't," and if Rory felt something about Marty other than comfy friendship, I don't think she'd be casually nodding off on his bed. Mind you, sometimes people have that "I didn't realize what was in front of me all along" shift of emotions - but not as often as movies and TV mislead us to think, causing a lot of misery in the process.

Make sure you have "Stable Volume" turned off in the YouTube settings. Otherwise it pumps the volume of the construction sounds to be at the same level as the guys talking. With it off, I didn't really notice it all that much this episode. It was a lot more present in their Project Hail Mary reaction, but even there it wasn't that much of an issue.

For sure, it is completely reasonable that Marty has a crush on Rory, and it is equally reasonable that she doesn't have those feelings for him. It sucks (I've been in both positions there, too), but that's life.

Completely agree. I absolutely think the lunch was completely innocent, but she should also take Luke's feelings into consideration as well. It reminds me a bit of Richard's standing date with his ex and what it did to Emily. Just have to be honest!
