Giving Holt a nemesis was possibly the greatest decision that could've ever been made

The only other comedy I know Andre Braugher from was a relatively small role in one season of BoJack Horseman, playing a similarly no-nonsense character surrounded by zaniness. The "silent disco" could almost be an SNL Stefon sketch. He even had one where the club was in Park Slope, the area the 99 is roughly based in/on: https://youtu.be/HDwP6_623KY?t=380. I totally lost my shit at that one since IRL it's a pretty quiet neighborhood of mostly families.

Holts monologue in the bar to Scully lives rent free in my head. Damn that voice. Andre Braugher could have read me the tax code and I would have melted in his arms. RIP to a beautiful man

I know Andre Braugher was in a TBS show called Men of a Certain Age. I think it was a comedy but I never watched it. I really hope you guys do Homicide: Life on the Street someday. It's great to see him do a police show on both sides of the comedy/drama spectrum.

Homicide is one of the best shows ever, up there with The Sopranos

The Inedible Mattman

Oh man I never noticed Spencer Crittendon in the episode! If you like Dungeons and Dragons, and comedians, and animated content, then you might want to try "HarmonQuest" which is just absolutely hilarious.

I wish I could have seen Andre do theatre live with some hugely meaty monologues. I need to do a deep dive into his early career. I love how they fade in and out the background sound as he does his speech in the bar.

No way. LMAO that would be so weird! No hate or judgment. Just can't believe that's real!
