This is such a cool episode. I love the cold open where we have kind of a "normal day" at Angel Investigations with a one-and-done monster. And our villain of the week trying to destabilize the police precinct through extreme sensitivity, thereby enabling Little Tony to escape is such a cool concept and allows for a lot of levity. And Angel going incognito will never not be funny.

I'm not sure this is the *most David B has had to do - the record for that probably goes for when he had to pretend to be Angelus while really being Angel to entrap Faith in Buffy S3, and also play a feral animal returned-from-hell Angel before that? But you're right it's the funniest so far! That said, while I think the joke here about sensitivity training and talking sticks etc is pretty funny - as you said when the brainwashed cop was letting all the prisoners out, the thing is that it actually *is bad that cops numb themselves to how deeply unjust and unfeeling the American justice system is, and it's a little weird to have an episode about cops that makes fun of what it would be like if they had empathy? It kind of leans in the direction of "prisoners' rights, rule of law, that's a farce, you liberal pussies." I'd rather see this joke set in a different workplace, because I feel a little icky about the message sent in this one.

On the one hand, the word cringe was invented for this episode. On the other hand, david boreanaz flexing his comedy chops is my all time favorite 😂 on a third hand, is this episode saying police brutality is good, actually? (i doubt the writers were thinking that hard about it, but yikes anyway)

Just a fun fact to possibly make you feel as old as I do today, Apparently, they took the analogies off the SATs a few years ago. Kids these days will be never know why a raven is like a writing desk or why your joke is very funny 🤣
