Wow, I'm delighted we moved on to Season 2 so fast! Thanks, as always for the insightful words. How about that "Love Kernels" number, huh? It's modeled specifically on Beyoncé's "Lemonade." It even uses some of the same visual imagery. And Rachel has confirmed that they did blow, if not their entire budget, a very substantial amount, on shooting it. Part of the 4-season plan is to have a different theme song for each season, keyed to what that season is about. Season 1's song, besides supplying the initial premise, was about her lies to herself. This one is about how "being in love" is supposed to excuse everything. And the dancer in the episode tag, who questioned her own reality and then evaporated, is the series' choreographer, Kathryn Burns. (Of the 4 Emmy awards the show eventually won, 2 went to her for her choreography.)

I have never been so psyched to see uploads as the slew of CXG s1 eps and then this today! Cannot wait to see how you guys react to this season. It's honestly very possibly my favorite of the 4 but there's A LOT to unpack with it and as I'm sure you guys caught with this first one, there will be plenty of "Rebecca, no!" moments to go around lol. Changes about but this will be such a rewarding journey and I really appreciate the work you're putting into things :)

What Greg said about his first sip of alcohol feeling "like glitter is exploding inside of me" is exactly what Rebecca said to Paula when describing meeting Josh in New York. Pretty much spells it out for you lol.

Ah that's what they were referencing! I can believe it, it was quite lavish and really well done. Love the cameos that the show has been providing so far!

Rebecca is horrible, and was absolutely gaslighting Josh, but he is not innocent, he has been stringing her along and then the moment Valencia broke up with him, while she is still technically with Greg, he essentially, in his dumb roundabout way, declared his love for her then got freaked out after. Then, he continues to have sex with her while sleeping on her couch for free, he was completely taking advantage of her feelings for him and using (effsploiting) her. I am happy for Paula that she is trying to change, but the main reason I dont like her is because she does so without being introspective or taking any responsibility for pushing an already mentally unstable person further into unhealthy and dangerous delusions!
