Fleabag, Season 2, Episode 1

Favorite episode of the series. The rhythm of the dialogue, the editing, the eyelines, everything is next level. I love how you see exactly who all these characters are in this long, extended scene, mostly through the dialogue. For some reason my favorite bit is Claire talking about how disgusting the sauce is on her dish, then as soon as the waitress comes by, she's all "It's delicious! Thank you!"

Love how mad you guys got at almost all of the characters. That's brilliant writing. :D You mentioned the editing. It's a critical part of the show, to the extent that PWB couldn't create a second season until she had figured out what to do with it. Watch this space. :) JFYI: Boots (aka Boots The Chemist) is the UK equivalent of CVS / Walgreens, more or less.

Love, love love this episode, and the rest of the season is fantastic too. You are in for a treat!

I adore this episode -- a one-act play in effect, complete with flashback wraparound. Every moment is beautifully crafted, and The Priest (one of those never-named characters) is a fabulous addition to the dinner table. And, as you guys noted, in this case Fleabag is the one who behaved impeccably throughout (in which I include punching Martin in the face, because if anybody ever earned it...).

Argh, it's so tempting to keep watching, without waiting for the next reaction. The dialogue and everything is so snappy. Fantastically written, edited, and acted. I nearly cry every time Claire says "It's mine. It's mine." in that broken voice in the bathroom stall.

I know, we really love Claire and really hope the best for her. It's nearly impossible for us to not just sit and finish the show, but we love keeping this weekly and episodic!

We all wanna punch Martin in the face, we don't stand for violence but some people man. Andrew Scott is a fantastic actor.

The editor of this show should definitely win or be nominated for all the awards lmao. I truly haven't seen a tv show done to this degree, it is marvelous!

Oh Claire, she's got a ways to go in terms of her own happiness and how she presents herself to the world. As do all of them. Regardless we love Claire and are interested in all the characters on the show and can't wait to see how this season plays out.

Claire just lost a baby you can't really blame her actions.

You're right, we don't have the insight to a situation that traumatizing. We never said anything bad about claire, we love claire. Just that fleabag handled that situation better than anyone.

Just catching up on these, this might be the best episode of television I've ever seen! Such a great episode and a banger of an opening to season 2, I honestly think half of season 2's greatness is because of how tightly and efficiently excellent the writing, acting and editing is
