Keep in mind, it wasn't just Rebecca doing it though, in this episode. There is something if you get support, and her and Valencia were playing off of each other. Also, I know you two keep saying Rebecca is a Narcissist. She does some similar things that maybe a Narcissist would do. But that doesn't make her one. Please be careful when labeling people with disabilities. (Or really anyone). The difference is the reason a person with certain disorders does things. One person who does it with one disorder may never care who they hurt, or what they've done to get what they want. They can be very dangerous when confronted, especially in public they can get violet ( My father is a Narcissist., I know them well.) I won't get too much into details with that but one example. He told me to do something. I didn't do it as quickly as he expected, or decided I should in his head. He came home, and started in on me. I had the nerve to stand up for myself, said I would get it done, that I was taking a break. It somehow turned into him thinking I was saying something about his age. He then threatened to throw me out of the window, said he would race me around the block to see who would win. I still didn't give the attention he wanted. He went into his room to get his machete to come after me with it. My grandpa had step in, so he wouldn't stab me. This was only 6 years ago. I don't see him much these days. On the other hand, a person with a disability, like Rebecca may seem like she doesn't care in the moment some times she may not even know why she's done, or rather how it would affect someone. But then she will most likely care when she realizes it. And then take it out on herself. She may let her emotions control things a little too much too. And may be more impulsive, but not as dangerous in the wanting to actually kill you sense. People with her disorder have very intense emotions, but they are genuine. One way to kind of explain it is when people call people Antisocial to mean that a person doesn't like to be around people. When really that's a real personality disorder that Psychopaths and Sociopaths have. Sorry, I just don't like when people throw words with negative connotations around. I know this is a show, but people with her disorder really do have stigmas against them, where some times even a therapist won't want to tackle the issues. I know you said that was funny. To some extinct it is. But it gets all too real when a person with her disorder actual wants to get help, and can't get the real help she needs because the disorder is so stigmatized. It is a little interesting though that you say she's a Narcissist. I believe her disorder and Narcissism is in the same category in the DSM-IV (or whichever number they're on now). I like this show because they show it as with person more being a person, when usually in media this disorder is shown as a stalker killer woman. (yes, it is usually a woman who they say have this. Even though men can have it too. ) Sorry if this post is negative, I still do love your reactions, but as a person with a lot of knowledge and experience with certain disorders, I felt the need to advocate a little and say something.

Don't spoil the show by talking about "her disorder" too much.....

Anika

I'm trying not to, it's just really difficult to listen to.

I really enjoy Rebecca and Valencia as friends....partners in being crazy ex-girlfriends.

We will do our best to try and pay attention to that. We did not mean to throw it around casually and we were misguided. Sorry for your experiences and we look forward to doing better in the next video.

Anika

I appreciate that. I know you guys really do mean well.

I'm better on theater/movie songs than music videos, so I'm reliant on online info for the song sources here. "You Go First" seems to be modeled on Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" video, including the big 80s hair (getting bigger every minute!), the empty ballroom, and the random acrobatic dancer in the background. This episode was the last one aired before a month-long end-of-year break, so "You Go First" kind of acted as a mid-season finale. "Research Me Obsessively" is said to resemble Selena Gomez's "Good for You" (in this case the audio more than video). "Period Sex" became a running joke on the series because the CW was absolutely not having it, so it always gets interrupted quickly.

@Tyler Mckenzie, somehow I never encountered that before. At one point I actually hurt myself I was laughing so hard. In addition to all her other talents, she is a great storyteller. (As I already knew from her famous blog about how she recorded her solo CD for $1000 in her apartment.)

Of all the songs they've done on the show, it's hilarious that "Period Sex" is the one the network took issue with lol. Good call on "Total Eclipse" couldn't place the homage for the life of me!

Are you posting the next one soon?

"Silver Brew" in Silver Lake is in no way exaggerated. Perfect view of the Valley vs. Silver Lake. Just a few miles and several layers of sanctioned self-involvement away from one another.

I would like to give Anna the benefit of the doubt that Josh left out how long he dragged out the relationship with Valencia when he painted her as a nag who hounded him to propose, because if not, how does she not side with the woman who gave 15 years of her life to an emotionally stunted dumb ass who strung her along and cheated on her? Also, this episode helps to display how hypocritical Paula is, because she continues to insist that she her friendship with Rebecca was all about Paula giving and Rebecca taking, yet she is being as selfish to Sunil as she feels Rebecca was being to her, then she just dropped the ball on her husband. I get that her husband could have stepped up more, but from what we have seen he has been trying to step up and she should know he doesn't know how to use the laundry machines, so she could at least teach him so he could help out with that as well.
