Ted Lasso, Season 3, Episode 10

Luca Siracusa (Bob)

This was probably my favorite episode in the entire show. It was surreal how the sweet moments converged to give us such intense scenes I teared up at Keeley giving Barbara the snow globe I almost cried at the whole Rebecca's speech about football, with Jamie using the 24 as his debut shirt I lost it at Nate's father expressing his true feelings about his son I was already a mess at Roy's letter to Keeley This episode was packed with emotions, with resolutions, with important scenes This is how you build a final season: closing storylines before the last episode to have more time in the finale for the remaining ones

Here in Belgium we have two billionaires who are fighting like children in this episodde. Two real estate developers were competing for the same contract and one gave a snide remark when he got the contract. So the losing guy went on a petty revenge streak. Since the other guy owns one of the biggest clubs in Belgium and needs a new stadium, first he bought a plot of land in every location the new stadium could be built. He then gave locals access to his his lawyer pool so they could fight back if the new stadium would be built on the old grounds. Secondly, even though he had no interest in football at the time, he went to their biggest rivals and offered them to build a new stadium. He then went to another rival club that hasn't won a trophy in 66 years dumped a lot of money into that team and on Sunday they're one game away from winning the league. Funnily enough, last week there was an interview with the two where they both claim they don't have beef, Even though the guy just spent about 200 million because the other's lack of respect. It's fascinating and grotesque to see this all unfold.

This actually isn't the first time we've seen Roy's sister! She was the ER doctor in 2x08 Man City. We didn't know it was her then, though.

I love how everything comes around on this show. Rebecca, who only wanted to ruin the team in Season 1, being the voice of reason and saving the league and her speech that just because they own the teams it doesn't mean it belongs to them. Akufo keeping Sam off the Nigerian team (although I also wish it had come up a little more that it was easy for Nigeria to take the money since Sam accused the Nigerian Government of corruption during the Season 2 press conference). Roy Kent having such terrible handwriting harkens back to the Season 3 promo where his version of the "Believe" sign was basically illegible (they also called back to it in the last episode where Jamie spelled believe incorrectly on the sign and also thought "password" was spelled with only 1 "s." Roy's salute to Rebecca being the same one he gave to her in Season 1 when Roy and Keeley first went off together. And, oh, yeah, the spit take. Thanks, and as always, loved the recap. Wonder what comes for you after Ted Lasso ends. Maybe "Derry Girls" or "Sex Education?"

Hey guys, when can we expect the next episode of Mad Men? :)

That actually is Nick Mohammed playing the violin (and his real-life wife is playing the piano part).
