This was such a great first season finale. We get a real sense of what each of the main characters is feeling and thinking, and it ends on Midge becoming "Mrs. Maisel," the comedienne. And yes, it was a full year before we got season 2. Just a few facts: Washington Square Park isn't in Central Park, it's further south, next to Greenwich Village. There were several black-and-white adaptations of "A Christmas Carol", in 1908, 1910, 1938, and 1951. The bottle dance in Midge and Joel's wedding is from the musical "Fiddler on the Roof," and is amazing to see on stage. While I loved season 1, I think season 2 might be my favorite, because yet again they take the characters in directions that no one can predict, creating some of the funniest, most memorable scenes in the series. I know you're going to enjoy it!

So excited for Season 2. I laughed so hard throughout. Still smile just thinking about it. I can't decide which is my fav season because there's things I love in all of them (though I haven't finished Season 5 yet).

I am still astounded at how expensive this show must have been to make. That unbroken take of the dancers at the wedding would have been at least a few days of shooting, and it was a throwaway flashback. You won't see a streaming comedy with this kind of budget anymore :(

Amazing episode! I really like the Joel charakter. He is really complicated, an idiot but not a bad guy. He really loves Midge, but he is just not self-confident enough to be the man of a successfull wife. So in my opinion: maybee Joel and Midge are right for each other, but at the moment they can´t be together because they both need to grow and they can´t do that as a couple.

They definitely will have an arc. Complicated characters make the best characters! Having a character is far more thought provoking and blurs what is right and wrong and makes it not so black and white.
