Thanks for giving us some closure on the series, guys! It's hard to say goodbye to, isn't it? I do have thoughts on my top songs from the series, and here they are. First, the 5 songs that make it to the top just on musical-lyrical quality. I would welcome these songs as part of a stage musical or cabaret performance: 1. Settle for Me 2. You Stupid Bitch 3. The Math of Love Triangles 4. We Tapped That Ass 5. Tell Me Im OK (Patrick) Then, the song that is a kind of thesis statement for the whole series, Josh Groban's solo from the SwimChan episode: "Life is a series of revelations... life doesn't make narrative sense:" 6. The End of the Movie The most gloriously unexpected solo: 7. Don’t Be a Lawyer A great song in which to admire Santino Fontana's acting, singing, and pianism, and the only song that the two Gregs shared: 8. (Hey West Covina) What’ll It Be? And the catchiest of the four excellent season theme songs: 9. I’m Just a Girl in Love I'm not done! Here are 3 songs which I might not put on the tip-top level purely as songs, but which I have watched many many times for other reasons: - Love’s Not a Game (not just the Guys & Dolls vibe, but because David Hull FINALLY gets the singing showcase he deserves) - Real-Life Fighting Is Awkward (for those brilliant cutaways to movie fighting) - Antidepressants (specifically as performed in the concert, showing off the tapping skills of the entire cast) AND, because I can't let go, 3 unforgettable spoken passages: * Hector’s "parking" monologue * Paula and Scott speaking the Season 1 theme song as part of a scene * The whole “Greg’s a whole different person now” scene in season 4

What'll It Be unlocked something in me the first time I heard it and I just remember crying when watching it because it struck me. Just 10 out of 10 performance from Santino here

I am so happy you both loved the show like so many of us have. It's such a gem that I keep coming back to because of how clever and poignant the journey is for all of the characters. I love so many songs for so many different reasons, but I think my top has to be the songs that I keep coming back to and probably sing to myself or my husband the most, and those are 1. Stupid Bitch 2. Fit Hot Guys Have Problems Too (my husband and I are probably half of the views of this music video on YouTube 😂) 3. Greg's Drinking Song 4. I'm The Villain In My Own Story (in my household we frequently say we're being the bitch in the corner of the poster) 5. Maybe This Dream 6. Go To The Zoo 7. Love Kernels 8. Settle For Me 9. Sports Analogies 10. What'll It Be

I'll have to think about my own top five....It's so tough. I do have to add a note about your top fives: Joe forgot to mention the best part of "Let's Have Intercourse" which is, of course, the clunk sound that you hear when Nathaniel drops the guitar in the very beginning.

What'll It Be would be in my top 10 for sure. Yeah I'm really bummed that we aren't covering this show every week now

YES, I just loved everything about it. The video is hilarious and it's such a nice song even though it's so dirty. So catchy.

i was going through the list, picking out the songs i sing to myself regularly and/or feel very deeply. but it's way more than 5 . . . or 10 . . . or 20. so, for the moment: 1 or 2. don't be a lawyer (because i am and i really wish i'd heard this song before it was far too late) 2 or 1. where's the bathroom? (tiny bladder, so it's a constant refrain - plus a complicated relationship with my mother makes it so relatable) 3. you stupid bitch 4. let's generalize about men 5. after everything i've done for you honorable mentions: sexy getting ready song, maybe this dream, i give good parent, heavy boobs, what'll it be, greg's drinking song, face your fears, friendtopia, gettin' bi, i could if i wanted to, antidepressants, horny sexy tango, remember that we suffered, west covina . . .

Rachel Bloom herself, in interviews, has said that Rebecca is a different version of Walter White. So your comparison is right on the money.

Thank you for reacting to this show! And now my top 5: Feelin’ kinda naughty (introduced me to the unhinged places this show was going to go in such a funny way) It was a s***show (sad, beautiful) Santa Ana Winds (funny and sad start to downhill spiral at same time) Rebecca’s reprise (beautiful, sad, so many call backs) No one else is singing my song (sad, hopeful) And some bonus favorites just because: Buttload of cats Don’t be a lawyer I have friends His status is preferred Strip away my conscience Having a few people over Child star

Youtalkingtome

Love this list. Santa Ana Winds, is one of my favorites too!

so happy to hear your thoughts! here are some of my absolute favourites (and also songs I sometimes listen to just so). In several categories, depending on how they make me feel. I' d be interested to hear your thoughts. I am not crying, you are crying: The Darkness I Could If I Wanted To It Was a S*** Show A Diagnosis WTFs/LOLs: I Gave You a UTI Gettin' Bi Greg's Drinking Song Cold Showers Forget It Epic musical theatre performances: Love's Not A Game Oh My God I Think I Like You Remember That We Suffered I'm The Villain In My Own Story Just...hot. 'Nuf said (and yes, I notice the pattern too ;) ): Let's Have Intercourse Fit Hot Guys Have Problems Too Strip Away My Conscience Horny Angry Tango

Youtalkingtome

I love how you made different lists depending on how you're feeling. The Darkness is probably the "best" song of the show in terms of being taken seriously. However, I love all the wacky, hilarity of Gettin' Bi for example. They gave us so many songs that I don't think anyone's favorite list would look the same.
