She sold drugs to old people that they didn’t need. She also played the victim. She is a bad person.

He is shouting Bortles you all were right! It's one of his bits throughout the show to idolize Blake Bortles and shout BORTLES when he's about to do something 😂

Roland Cooke

BORTLES!!!!! (and the audio joke was of course "bud-hole", which the writers considered would be Emmy-worthy.... :D )

The reason for Tahani stumbling with "suspenders" is that in Brit-speak that item of clothing is called "braces", while "suspenders" is part of a garter belt (lingerie).

Four seasons....but the content of ten. :)

The arrogance one must possess to believe they belong in the good place would immediately disqualify them in my version of the Good place. My Good place wouldn't have many good people in it because I'm too cynical and don't really trust people that appear to have no flaws. Also, mashed potatoes are used because they don't get ruined by the heat of studio lights.

damn you guys are hard with Tahani

Youtalkingtome

How so? This is our first time watching it. She will probably grow on us but from what we've seen so far, why is she in The Good Place?

This made me really want you to react to Amazon Prime’s Good Omens. Micheal Sheen, David Tennant with John Hamm and Michael McKean among others. Based on the Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett novel. It’s smart and funny and so Good.

Keep in mind in terms of Chidi and Tahani, they tell us at the beginning your points are about the impact you have on the world so Tahani's massive (multi-billion dollar) impact on people in need kind of outweighs that she's a little condescending. Chidi only taught and thought about ethics sure, but if that added up to 10's of thousands of students being better people because of it, that is also a positive ripple impact that might outweigh that he didn't go do anything crazy good.

Maria Stoycheva

that was definitely something I suggested when they were ending Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The Good Place has a very similar feel to CEG so I am glad it won, but Good Omens is also an exceptionally fun and thoughtful show (and much shorter) ^^

that's a VERY good point. I never really thought about it like that. I, just like Joe and Kevin, immediately found Tahani condescending and superficial and didn't really buy her getting into the Good place. but you make a good point - money do solve some problems and Tahani probably solved a lot of problems for a lot of people in her lifetime. that her motivations were corrupt... well, we haven't seen the Good place take motivations into account, so maybe they don't matter as much?

I am having a blast watching these reactions (just as I expected). One question, however: any chance you can increase the volume of the videos a bit? it is totally impossible for me to watch these without headphones, and even then it is often very difficult to hear what you are saying over the sound of the video itself. perhaps you could even lower the audio of the source material a tiny bit when you are speaking, so we can hear you? I like your running commentary but it is difficult for me to listen to two things at the same time. other Patrons can say if they agree, but I personally have the original episode with subtitles, so I don't need to hear it too much. I already pretty much know it by heart at this point :D

Yeah, I'd echo this. Maybe it's a mic issue? I have to have my headphones up much louder than usual to hear you guys, even with my copy of the show at minimal volume/using subtitles.

Tahani having afternoon gloves AND early evening gloves really got me
