Just watched the final trailer for dune 3….December 18th in theaters, I’m so pumped, so happy I’m not Mike and Sean have to wait so they can react , those movies NEED to be watch at the movies

So, in the last Band of Brothers episode, Sean posted pictures of his grandfather from WW2. If anyone cares I’d like to post a plaque I own in memory of my grandfather, Willis (Jake) Jacob. It’s a picture of him, his medals and one of the ships he served on in WW2. He lied about his age, said he was 18, but he was actually 16 when he joined the Royal Canadian Navy. He could never talk about the war, so I know next to nothing about his service. All I know, through my cousin, is his ship once got strafed by a German plane and he lost several of his friends in that incident. He suffered through nightmares his whole life, but that didn’t stop him from being an amazing, kind grandfather. He raised 4 children, one was my mother, and he had the best marriage you could ever dream of. Anyways, thanks for given me a forum to share this. I intended to post this in the Band of Brothers comments but you can post pictures through it. Only through here. Thanks again MSP’s and OG’s!! The pictures are above this comment.

P.S. that ship is the HMCS Gatineau.

Forgot about that one. That’s my favourite picture of him. He was one handsome bastard! 😁

Watching the titanic reaction, the ship was built in Harland & Wolff Belfast. ( https://www.titanicbelfast.com/history-of-titanic/titanic-stories/a-history-of-the-shipyard-queens-island-to-titanic-quarter/ ) which is about 40minuts up the road from me. There is now a museum there’s as well if you’d are ever over in Ireland https://www.titanicbelfast.com/history-of-titanic/

You can see the cranes that were placed there in the 60s anywhere really in Belfast
