As the show goes on from season to season, things start to become alot easier to follow. both in terms of story & character/fractions. families & their motivations. This first season is like being thrown into a Where's Waldo/Wally book... it throws you straight in!

yeah it seems clear they accidentally watched this episode before the last. Thus why they didn't recognise the mountain, remember Tyrion had been kidnapped, or knew Bran was awake.

The Eyrie throne that you pointed out is super cool. The one with the crazy mama sitting on it when Tyrion and Cat arrived. I got to wondering about it, after you said something so I googled a little. It's made out of a Weirwood tree. It's a very special and sacred kind of tree, and it's kinda messed up that they turned it into a throne. It's got a white trunk and red leaves, you saw Ned and Cat sitting under one before they left Winterfell. Anyways they're considered to be religious, almost like gods. So while that throne looks super cool, it's also kind of like tearing down a holy building and making a throne out of the bricks. I didn't do a ton of research on its history or who cut the tree down but I bet you anything that throne is kinda cursed.
