Marlen Garling

If you make 100,000 subscribers can we please vote on a scary movie. Please please.

Syd

As a woman, I support misogyny when its directed toward Cersei Lannister

Allie

The thing is, even though it wasn’t known how genetics worked back in those days, black hair is a dominant trait. Meaning it’s HIGHLY unlikely that Joffrey would have come out blond. Is it possible? Sure. But remember; her other two younger children (Joffrey’s siblings) are also blond. With blond being a recessive gene/trait, there’s NO WAY that all 3 of her children would have popped out blond if Robert was their father. That’s another reason why Cersei’s story about her first baby that died and was born with black hair was relevant. And it ties into her conversation with Robert where she confessed that she DID love him once. That was Robert’s actual child that they had together. And again, he had black hair.

This is just the warm up fellas. Strap in, it’s gonna be a ride.

its 8pm in the desert here in Nevada, taking off das boots and smoke a bowl and relax rest of the night, thanx gents. i do enjoy watching GoT reactions

Melanie D

Sansa is legit one of my favorite characters in the series, and you are not wrong, she is being a major asshat right now. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Unrelated, while there's constantly so much information to take in in this world, and lots of names and plots to keep track of, I feel like you guys have really started to lock on and get invested. So pumped for future reactions!!

Nova Rain

I wish I could subscribe 25K more times to make it our 100K reward 💃🐉 Thank you Sean!!

amy McLoughlin

Remember the old murdered Hand John Arryn had gotten that book to research, he'd gone around tracking down all Robert Baratheons bastards like the boy in the blacksmiths. And they're all black haired too... And as he seems to be getting suspicious of the lannisters and the queens children being illegitimate products of adultery (or incest? There were rumours) and suddenly John Arryn dies

🦉ChristyBee🧡

🤣 All OGs will remember… Tyranny’s confession was awfully reminiscent of Chunk’s confession of “Everything?” “Everything!” from the Goonies! When he’s re-captured by the Fratellis, recounting every naughty thing he’s ever done- pushing his little sister down the stairs and blaming it on the dog, and mixing up the fake puke, taking it to the balcony of the theater and dumping it over the side- making a sound like this- “Hueghhhh! Hhwegghh! HHWEEEEEEGGGGGHHH!” 🤣😂🤣 Good old Tyranny! Good old Chunk! Good old Mikey and Sean! Good old MSP OGs, and Good old(ish) MSPs! Love ya all!!

Tom R

let's just agree - you don't want to wait a week per episode, we don't want to wait a week per episode... what d'ya say there guys? 2 per week? also, i have a fat ol dad bod that's worth at least 99,990 subs. get the dress.

Alissa Tucci

OK, I'll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I play Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog... and then, my mom sent me to the... to the summer camp for fat kids... and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out!

Alissa Tucci

Mike, the raven features *heavily* in episodes 7 through 10, with 10 being entirely from the raven's perspective with many close-ups of other ravens, crows and other types of dark, winged creatures with black, penetrating eyes. There's a very famous scene in which hundreds of them dive bomb a group of unsuspecting Japanese tourists near Castle Black who were happily minding their own business and simply trying to take group photos in font of the Wall. I don't know...you may want to just skip ahead to Season 2 at this point!

Zima Roo

The evidence of a blonde haired son coupled with the previous hand of the king (John Ayrn who was poisoned) investigating the kings bastards, presumably to see if there was a suitable heir, is what makes it clear to Ned...

Kate

‘The seed is strong’

MomzillaAngie

OMG yes, look out Mikey. They all have multiple - more than two - eyeballs staring directly into your very soul. Be prepared.

MomzillaAngie

Pretty effing good, guys. I was waiting for this episode. My dear Sweet Summer Children... you ain't seen nuthin yet. Love you guys!

nickyc777

Cersi did say her child they lost had black hair in an earlier episode when he beat his hands bloody. Not sure if that matters but I remember that

Perry Taliaferro

Sean giving Mike shit about ravens and then minutes later having to shield his eyes from the drop off in Tryion's cell was awesome. Great stuff as always guys!! Both of you!! And yes, the Three-Eyed Raven is in the show a bit ;) EDIT - And as it seems I can't make a post without editing it ... I was wondering if you guys have any plans on watching the "History & Lore" videos that come after each season? They do not spoil anything upcoming, but give you a great history of what you have seen. It recaps some, but mostly gives you all the backstory that you have only had hints of. I think us Patreon folks would love for you to do those as well :)

SamlovesWillow

Wow! That was a great reaction guys to one of my favourite episodes and yes, Cersei fully deserved that slap! Looking forward to seeing Sean all dressed up....although technically Mikey said Veneiries.....sounds like Virseyres i think so you might have a get out clause there Sean, but you'll have to wear a golden crown 👑

Violet

Doing 2 at a time makes more sense, to me.

Bmay

"The seed is strong" ... Mike, the entire point of Ned reading all the other names and noting they were 'black of hair' is to drive the point home about Joffrey being blonde... I'm sure many other Baratheons had kids with blondes and redheads, but they always had black haired sons

Sean Zaccheo

Cheers to 100k subscribers!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Violet

Y'all calling him Ellen is HILARIOUS!!

Violet

The argument about the blonde and black hair is funny because I have three siblings all of which are blonde, my dad has black hair and I'm the only one who got black hair. I have three siblings who have blonde hair freckles and light blue or green eyes and I have no freckles, I'm super pale and I have black hair just like my dad!

Coral of Bread

That was crazy ass! 🤣 Love you guys

Dan

He became a lawyer if Irecall

Renvier

sorry, im new here and im wondering, why the subtitle is different? 😂😂

Duhderpicus3000

They set it up where Ned read multiple generations of Baratheon's hair color to show that "the seed is strong", like Jon Arryn was saying on his deathbed...

Mitchell Kitchens

Agreed…runtime would be about as long as most movies if you did two a pop.

DoomGummy

Every single one of their kids is blonde haired, it's not just Joffrey

DoomGummy

Road to 100,000 boys

Louisa

Did you guys recognise the wildling woman attacking Bran on his horse plays Tonks in Harry Potter.. 🫶🏻

Cristabel

If you get to 100k I think you should do two GOT per week!! This comedy gold is too good to have to wait a whole week between fixes! I’m LOVING the nicknames.

Kenzie

Plus gendry said is mother had yellow hair, and he has black hair

Kenny

"A Crown for King" That scene never gets old

Kyle From Canada

This episode is top rated GOT to me. I must add that Bron (the guy who fought for Tyrion in the trial by combat) was first seen in the tavern where Cat and Tyrion meet. He says Tyrion can have his room and Tyrion tosses him a coin. He’s then seen in the skirmish killing multiple of the Hill Tribesmen. He knows Tyrion = gold, that’s why he follows along and that’s why he stands for him in the trial by combat after he sees who the opponent will be.

Justin

How big a part is the raven? 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 that’s all I’ll say 😂🤣😂

Kipper87

I think most people have hammered it home enough about the hair but It's literally been a plot point the entire season and Jon Arynn's last words. Baratheon dark hair is dominant in all offspring, no matter what. Cerssei even mentions her first child with Robert that died (in episode 2 I think she mentions it) and was black haired 'beauty'. It's a show that requires you to pay attention to details, the first 5 seasons at least xD Love watching you guys though!

Justin L.

Don't you think Cersei, the brother hu*per, should really be called Ilhan Omar?

Fallenshroud

Notice that all of the kings illigitimate children have black hair. Including the ones who had blonde mothers

DarkAether

Makes a whole lot of sense to me =]

IntrrepidMrRico

Most stories are that the men run off to get milk and never come back. Sean has other ideas... >:D

Gryff

I like the two a week idea. Especially since it seems like you love the show so much you will definitely love A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and maybe even HotD

Tim Wayne

That Ozempic joke was the funniest Ozempic joke I've ever heard.

MAURICIO ORELLANA AMADOR

The only way to get blond hair would be if Robet had at least one blond parent or grandparent and that's why Lord Eryn and Ned checked the book.

Mitchel

Sanka more like Stanka

Becky Johnson

This is great bird cognitive behavioral therapy for Mike. A great show in so many ways!

Bryson Shirley

But is it as badass as Gandalf facing down a Balrog? Eeeeeeeehhhhh....

Zoe

Since you guys are already into Season 2 now, I wanted to circle back to something from the opening of Episode 1 that becomes much more interesting in hindsight. If you recall, the dead stag and direwolf in the opening of Episode 1 already reads like a prophetic omen through the sigils of Houses Baratheon and Stark. The stag’s antler is embedded in the direwolf’s chest, yet the stag is dead too, foreshadowing the fatal entanglement between Robert and Ned that ultimately costs them both their lives. The bloodline symbolism becomes even more intentional once Ned uncovers the truth of Robert’s succession. The direwolf dies surrounded by six living pups tied to the Stark children, while there are no offspring around the stag. Robert does have children of his own blood, like Gendry and Barra, but they are bastards and therefore outside the royal succession. The children presented as his lawful heirs, however, were sired by Jaime Lannister. That is what Ned finally understands through the book of Westerosi lineages and Jon Arryn’s words, “the seed is strong.” The Baratheon traits remain consistent across generations, through Robert, his brothers, and even his bastard children. Cersei’s children do not fit that pattern; they carry the Lannister traits of their true parentage instead. That is also why the opening image matters beyond simple foreshadowing. This world repeatedly ties bloodline, heraldry, prophecy, and high magic together; Daenerys and the return of the dragons being one of the clearest examples you have already seen. The direwolf dies with its true line surviving beside it, while the stag dies without a legitimate heir of its own. I love being able to watch these earlier reactions now that you guys have more context, because so many of these details become richer the further you get into the series.

orbo

I don't remember it ever being addressed in the show or books, but I always assumed someone killed Robert & Cersei's 1st son, so that Robert's heirs would all be of Lannister blood. I wouldn't think it was Cersei, since her love for her children is about her only redeeming quality. But someone else could have done it, especially Tywin.

SpyC

The slap was hilarious

Terminator25483

Yeah, you're gonna see the bird a lot lol
