Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy... let's go!!! EDIT - And I'm only saying this as I am scared you will accidentally see something you are not supposed to, but please don't look up any information while you watch this series. Just... don't do it ;) LAST EDIT - So wait, you mention, The Patriots, The 49er's and The Cowboys dynasties... but no Steelers? How dare you sir. ;) OKAY, SO I LIED EDIT - Just pointing out that the King told Ned to write "...Until Joffrey comes of age", but Ned wrote "Until my rightful Heir" ;)

Distantnova

I think this is Tywin’s debut episode… if so been waiting for this one! Oh and so much more I forgot this was the episode for 😀

2026-09-12 19:00 You are mistaking the Lord Commander with Alliser. Alliser is the master-at-arms. Not the Lord Commander.

Yes, Tywin (hahaha my phone changed it to Twinkle) is daddy Lannister (Bannister!) Lannisters are Lions Baratheons are Stags Starks are Wolves And yes, Littlefinger has wanted to get his little fingers into...errrrr...on to Cat since he was very young. Btw...I'm still waiting on the Chargers Dynasty...ever hopeful it will happen before I die....sigh Buckle up buttercups.... this show is crazy. 🤣

SpicyRikers

Loving this series! and Definitely encourage having a quick google more if you need detail about something small!

David Mudd

Robert is the eldest Baratheon brother. Stannis is the middle brother who we haven't seen yet. Renly is the youngest.

Kate

6 minutes in and catching the symbolism. 🤗

cosmominto

Nooo hard disagree do not risk it

joshua hardman

Im convinced both of them are death 🤣🤣

Allie

Alliser = Mean one that trains them in the courtyard Lord Commander Mormont = the actual leader of all the night’s watch and the one that read out the assignments.

cosmominto

Do not Google! Just wait and it will become clear or ask us and we will answer. Spoilers are not worth it

Coral of Bread

Do not look anything up about this show, just keep watching and doing the episode recaps

Allie

The show: “He’ll be leashed to a saddle a forced to run behind the horses.” Less than 1 minute later, Mike and Sean: “what are they gonna do to him? Burn him at the stake?” 😭

MomzillaAngie

Thank goodness they weren’t talking over the line When you play the Game of Thrones you either win or you die! It’s perfect 😍

Ashley Pedersen

I love you both, but you really need to start taking notes lol. Good heavens.

Donna Coffman

Peter Baelish (Middle Finger) has been in love with Catelyn Stark his entire life and continues to be to this day. The crazy, ugly sister Lysa is in love with Peter.

Violet

MING-DING CHICKEN!!🤣🤣🤣

Coral of Bread

Jon being the lord commander Mormont's personal steward IS a good thing. That man is NOT the slimy Alliser Thorne dude that hates Jon so much. Vanerys' advisor dude is the Lord Commanders (Mormont) son, Jorah

Mudge Pendragon

for everyone else excluding Mike and Shaun. Can you see the minds exploding and table flips coming I can ?

Jon

...oh boy

Cade Shadowlight

Littlefinger has crushed on Ned's wife Kat since they were kids.

Cade Shadowlight

You are confusing two people as one. Alliser is the drill instructor training the the recruits and hates Jon Snow. The Lord Commander is the guy who is over all the Nights Watch and requested Snow as his personal steward (and does not hate Snow).

Keep watching. It will get more intense, but interesting at the same time. And I don't know if you've noticed, but the wilding girl who's now a "guest" at the Stark's residence is the same actress who plays Tonks in the Harry Potter movies. :)

Joanna

There will be hundreds of names in the series, so consider whether creating additional nicknames for them will actually be helpful. Opinions are divided, but I think you should Google if you're unsure. Three brothers: Stanis, Robert, Renly Berathon. Renly spoke to Stark about Stanis being unfit to be king, even though he's a brilliant soldier. Later, Renly escaped from Kingslanding.

Yea I fear that continually adding names for a show like this, is actually detrimental long term. So many changes and new additions. For movies, go for it, but shows(especially this one) maybe not the best. Googling is dangerous for sure though. They can just rely on their community :)

Talking about metaphors...it's filled with them. Omens are a theme too, the whole dire wolf from episode one (shouldn't be this far south/doesn't belong) as well as other things about it that I won't make that connection for you guys. Then the king shows up and drags Ned (dire wolf) south...ill omens indeed. Now we have a lion(Tywin) butchering a stag...As for why he's the one butchering the stag, I've always thought it's because it's a reflection of his character. He gets in there, does the 'dirty work', does what needs to be done, etc.. "Show, don't tell". Also, regarding the wildling, when she says "they've been sleeping", it's not that they wake up in the winter as you're referencing, there's been plenty of those the last 1000 years. She means the long night, not just "winter", but "real" winter i guess you could say. Great stuff regardless though! Also, please don't google things for people you haven't met yet (Stannis) xD I know that you didn't know who he was (despite the fact he's already been mentioned quite few times..) but he hasn't been introduced on screen at this moment. There has been a lot of that and will continue to be that way. I also really have a hard time watching this reaction, because I took a vow to never watch GoT again lol, but you guys reel me in too much for me to look away.

David Greene

its very dangerous to google for answers - i've seen one reactor get a series ending spoiler just from asking one seemingly non-related question

Kyle From Canada

A great detail in this episode I enjoy is how Jorah realizes they’re planning to kill her because he wouldn’t be getting a pardon unless the spider no longer needed him.

Justin

Woohooo

Justin

🤣😂🤣😂 the dual laughing as verys 😂🤣😂

Justin

Oh the foreshadowing you two surmise

Justin

I think they really need the googling. They are toooo lost in the sauce 😂

cosmominto

Nah it’s a firm no from me. I saw a spoiler about HoTD and now am permanently raging when I watch it 😹

Kylezart

Little finger and Cat grew up together and he has been in love with her his whole life. Cat was sworn to marry Ned's older brother, but he died, and she instead married Ned. Little finger has been devising up a way to end up with her.

I think it would be wise to drop the nicknames going forward for this series. You guys are confusing yourselves already lol. Lovin these edits though, keep em comin guys!

Blackeyedlily

I’m impressed that you picked up on the metaphor of Tywin Lannister skinning the stag. It certainly was there for what you thought it was. This is something that this show leans into, and the books much more so. Especially with all the Houses being represented with their own personal symbols and words. In the very first episode, you have a mother Dire Wolf who died in a fight with a Stag. They didn’t really say anything about it in the show, other than the fact that those types of wolves were not typically seen south of the Wall. But the book made a big deal over the fact that the men saw it as a bad omen for the sigil of House Stark and the sigil of House Baratheon to have died fighting each other. Ned tried to shrug it off in the books, but it spooked his men, and Catelyn as well when she heard about it.

Asmodean

Damn. These guys watch everything from the bird eye view and they can’t see the truth when Sam explains it to them 😂

IVANfrom059

mikey stop pausing on the best moments! :)

Becky Johnson

Yeah, this is about the time I started watching GOT without my boyfriend when he wasn't available because I couldn't wait for him, haha. Aka the worst betrayal.

Rachel Jacob

Oh my sweet summer children.

orbo

1:07:10 "Maybe it's the King's Hand?" That look into the camera... 😂😂😂

orbo

So it looks like Jorah was spying on Viserys and Khaleesi since before his 1st appearance, working for Lord Berries. I think Berries mentioned him in the scene where Arya Grande was hiding in the dungeons, and he definitely listed him as the source on the info that Khaleesi was pregnant. If you think back, the scene where Khaleesi's maid was asking for food other than horse meat, when he hears that she's pregnant, he excuses himself and says he'll catch up to the Drakul horde. So when he gets the message from Berries that he's been pardoned, he knows the jig is up.

Ry Cannon

They did show the dad Tywin in earlier episodes

Ry Cannon

Exactly they are far behind they need google I agree
