Jim Ellis

Yes! Wednesdays are filled excited anticipation for the next episode drop!

Kyle Kozina

Sheesh I gotta catch up , I only saw the season 2 premiere

Violet

I've watched GOT with 7 different reaction channels and I can confidently say I've never been more excited to finish a show with any other reactors because you guys are not only hilarious but you're so much fun and I think the show is really going to exceed any expectations you may already have I also hope you're both having a good day

MomzillaAngie

Awww thank you my sweet fair gentlemen! Needed this after that disturbing movie yesterday

LittleHorus

YESSSSSSS!!! Was waiting for a new episode all week!

Cristabel

Arya hates the Hound bc he killed her friend Micah, the butcher’s boy (the boy she was sparring with when Joffrey strolled up and started acting the fool as usual)

Jan V

they also discuss the show far more than other reactors ive seen. even when they miss things they still actively engage instead of just saying like "that was cool" or "that was messed up". Far more thought goes into it and I love that

MomzillaAngie

It was Neds bones in the trunk! Doesn't happen in the books though.

Kate

Going to start using ‘well I like to make emotional decisions.’ 🤣

Jono Taylor

Unfortunately acting upon emotional decisions kills you in this Game. Look at Ellen or Ned who have acted on either impulse or a sense of honour/Justice. There’s a reason why people like Tywin prevail in the end , pure unadulterated ruthlessness and pragmatism to end up on top and remain there. Joffrey might be King but it will be Tywin who will rule the Kingdoms if their enemies are defeated. The Baratheon brothers might be fighting over their right to rule as Robert’s true heirs , but Rob’s fight is a lot more complicated. Many of Rob’s Bannerman have also lost family members in this fight. Ending the war for the exchange of Sansa for Tywin Lannisters golden boy would be seen as a betrayal if not a slap in the face for the thousands who put their confidence in Rob and the Starks to lead them.

Kate

The box would be Ned’s bones. The rest of him would be gone, it has been a minute

Joanna

*Tywin never saw Aria Stark *"That guy" is Lancel Lanister, their cousin and former squire of Robert Berathion *The actor who plays Joffrey is so good that the whole world was waiting for his death *Hound killed the butcher's boy with whom Aria trained in season 1. *That was Ned's bones, which they could have buried in Winterfell *

Cristabel

This was the episode where we were all put on notice: this show does not pull punches and will show you things so disturbing you will never recover. Love it!!!!

Violet

No no no NONO NOO NOOOO!! DON'T SAY THAT!! I THOUGHT WE WERE HAVING A NICE DATE!!! 🤣🤣

Fallenshroud

It was his bones. The silent sisters, which are like buns, prepared them for her. They never explicitly say in the book, but it's kind of implied that they boil away any flesh, and clean them really well. The silent sisters are the ones in the headdress that brought the box in. Septas are nuns, the silent sisters are a special order that deals with the dead and dying.

False P

I kinda like how you guys remember Tywin's name and don’t have a nickname for him, seems like you guys respect him more then the rest

MomzillaAngie

Let me tell you a story about Hansel and Gretel…

MomzillaAngie

Yes! I’ve said it before here- the guys give us an actual show complete with voices and comic bits! It’s not just a relatable reaction. 💜❤️🩷

GrassTypePokemom

I don't think Tyrion knew Joffrey was going to hurt them like that... Tyrion wouldn't have sent Roz to her death.

Violet

Omg, that part, where she's reading her story, it's the ONLY part that literally scares me, because the fact that she came up with that.....HORRIFYING!

Fallenshroud

Renly thinks the throne is his because he can take it, and Stannis is not well liked. I don't know if anyone has said it yet, but Game of Thrones is based on the War of the Rose's. The Plantagenet brothers were famous for fighting and killing eachother for power.

Jono Taylor

Renly is being backed by the Tyrell’s and all those who want to gain favour and further standing via him. Not only is Loras Renly’s lover but it was him who put the idea of Challenging for the Throne in his head. Not only are the Tyrell’s backing Renly to gain power for themselves in a post-Lannister 7 kingdoms, but they have tied themselves into making him King through the marriage with Margery as Queen to Renly’s Kingship. In a similar way that Robert marrying Cersei tied his Kingship to the powerful and wealthy Lannisters, the Tyrell’s are doing the exact same thing. Outside of the fact that Stannis is not popular or liked , his claim comes from Robert who took the throne via conquest and not legal succession. Legally Robert’s children are the children he had with Cersie. Even through we know that Joffrey / Ellen is not Robert’s biological child , he was his legal son and heir thus why he became king. Outside of these technicalities there are grounds because of the embedding conflicts with Lannisters ruling in the name of the Royal House of Baratheon , that the line of succession doesn’t matter because of the fact that Robert took the throne and that by law and acknowledgment that Joffrey Robert’s eldest male child. So in summary Renly’s claims reeks of the same opportunism on face value as Stannis’s claim via trying to steal their Nephews throne. The best way to look at it is three branches of the same house/family with the backing of different houses that divide them (Baratheon-Lannisters , Baratheons-Tyrell’s and Stannis Baratheon who like a typical middle child is left with what remains)

Jono Taylor

Also not sure if they were aware that Arya , Gendry and Hot Pie are at Harrenhal. The castle littlefinger been promised. It’s a giant ruin yes , but it’s the lands around it , historical circumstances and also the largest Castle in Seven Kingdoms central located in the Middle of Westeros.

Kimber Voss

The other patron’s will be better at filling you in on the general stuff you ask about.. I just wanted to comment here how much I love the score in this series.. Season 2 adds some new themes with the entrance of Stannis and others..these keep developing subtlety but steadily, so during epic moments in the score, when the fully developed themes come together, they are extremely impactful. Damn, that’s a lot of high degree adverbs.. I need to tone down my word dynamics. But yeah, the score becomes so powerfully perfect for certain sequences.. ok that is all.. this is a great eppy.. glad you guys enjoyed it!! ☺️💛💛

Jono Taylor

Additional note Renly is Lord of Storms end which is the traditional seat of power for the Baratheons which entails the vassals of the Stormlands (one of the seven kingdoms) swearing loyalty to him in the same way the Starks and the Lannister have their own seat of power and vassals connected. (Tyrell’s included in this for reference) Stannis on the other hand has Dragonstone which was the traditional seat of the Targaryen’s prior to Kingship and the creation of Kingslanding. It’s a much lesser prize if not an insult which comes with little to no benefit other than being the former seat of the Targaryen's and thus not even a Kingdom in itself to call upon numerous vassals. It’s a volcanic island with a major Fortress, has no tradeable resources that people generally want, and is generally a dark and gloomy place in itself.

Jan V

Renly genuinely just thinks he has a better claim because he has a bigger military and would be a better ruler. He doesn't care much about laws of succession

MomzillaAngie

And you can’t stop listening to it and what comes next! She does such a great job!

Violet

Seriously! She killed it!

That European Guy

Many of the horrors people do to each other in this show are not the author's original ideas; they are inspired by real events from our own realm. Ar at in the hot metal box is the torture method that's been used for several thousand years, all the way to the current times

Luke

The hound killed her friend the butchers boy

Luke

He did not know he was going to do that. He genuinely thought Joffrey could benefit from getting laid or whatever. Backfired badly

nickyc777

I want to buy Mikey a Longclaw so he got something to rival the Hand of the King broach :)..... Anyone want to lend me £400-500 :)

nickyc777

I don't do hate much but agree, Joffrey deserves to be in the other seat and tortured rather than him doing it... He is not ill mentally he is sadistic mentally, I hate to think the people in the real world like that.

GrassTypePokemom

I think they're more like nuns than buns... ;)

nickyc777

Jamie is a known commander and one of the best swordsman, he killed 10 in his capture. I agree with Shaun, its not a good place though for a mother, I know my mother would do anything for me. Little finger and Cerci know how the game works in putting the question to her. She is strong though, I trust Cat

Steven A Brown

Arya hates the Hound because he killed her friend Micah (the butcher's boy) who was Arya’s friend and practice partner with swordplay.

Perry Taliaferro

Tyrian didn't know Joffery was going to beat the hookers, he thought they would help satiate his... whatever the hell it is he gets off on, by having sex with him. That is all. At least I think that is right

Perry Taliaferro

Oh, and if you want, you can watch the intro more closely and the map will show you where that episode's stories take place.

Thomas Glover

Is there anyone worse than Ellen? Oh my sweet summer children, there are 6 seasons left, just wait and ask Reek...

Kylezart

Ever heard of the headman's axe? lol

Kylezart

In the GOT world, there's a group called the Silent Sisters, which are women, sometimes sent against their will, sometimes they sign up, they are meant to clean and prepare the dead for the grave. Including, in Ned's case, de-skinning the bones. They take vows of silence, and some just have their tongues removed, if they are sentenced to the life of being a silent sister.

Duhderpicus3000

Actually the rat in the hot bucket thing is a very old and real medieval torture method from what ive heard. Wild times. Unfortunately.

Kylezart

House Tyrell of Highgarden is a MASSIVE house. Really the only house that can compete with the Lannisters in terms of wealth. They rallied in support for Renly, which is why Renlys wife and her brother Loras, which are the heirs to highgarden, are with him.

DarkAether

Love watching you guys reaction to this show, all the dark moments like the ones in this episode and those to come.. Praise be.

Dakota Yates

All I am going to say is get ready for more PTSD.... also watch a knight of the seven kingdoms after this or now idc its amazing!

Sarah_M

It 100% was a factual old torture method, yes. Humans be terrible and creative.

Mikey Show Presents

The best part was watching Mike coming unglued... then me acting like it was normal/no biggie 🤭🤭🤭

Mikey Show Presents

very interesting... although not from the real world I do recall a similar torture from Orwell's 1984 when Winston is brought to Room 101... eechhh...

Mikey Show Presents

someone needs to do something about these humans... oh wait, they're probably going to take care of that themselves.. 🤭

MomzillaAngie

Also when people say they talk too much I really don’t get it. If you want silence go watch the show on your own!

Violet

Exactly! Their banter is what makes them so much fun to watch!

Mikey Show Presents

exactly what I thought... Tyranny's thinking was presumably "oh, he's a psychopathic sadist. Ok, so maybe if he can scratch the itch with these two professional women, he'll be easier to control. They may even teach him some things. He just might thank me for it." But T miscalculated. Ellen, like many psychopaths, takes public slights to be injurious in the extreme and totally intolerable. It violates the reality created in his mind where he's the ultimate hero and ironically the ultimate victim. Given he appears to be immune to human decency it seems he will do whatever it takes to repair the injury. Apparently to a ghoulish level.

MomzillaAngie

Never say never. Cuz you know them books aren’t finished yet! The books are more realistic about it.

Mikey Show Presents

yes... excellent wrinkle I didn't consider... all around this exchange is fraught with horrible secondary consequences.

Jane at Home

I think it was used a lot in China. Orwell has it as the culminating torture in 1984 (strapped to the face).

Mikey Show Presents

ahh... that would also at least partially explain the size of his forces...

Mikey Show Presents

if he avoids a horrible death I WILL go to HBO's corporate offices and reenact the scene where Tyranny peed off the edge of the Wall

Mikey Show Presents

🤔 this is mostly correct... in addition his name is weirdly memorable AND he scares us

Mikey Show Presents

ok so unless someone who actually knows what she looks like comes around she's ok as the... cup bearer? is that what he said she's going to be?

That European Guy

Axe is not the optimal option for amputation because of the fractions that occure from the impact. When you chop wood with an axe you put the log verticaly, not horizontaly. That is because the fibers of the wood grow in that direction, so the energy of the impact does the same, and you get the cleaner cut with less force applied if you put the log verticaly. The bone grows in the same way, and when you need to cut the limb you can cut the bone only horizontaly relative to it. So, to avoid additional microfractures to the bone you need to use a saw. It's a longer but cleaner metod that also allows the remaining tissue to heal faster

Violet

Please tell me that Sean was referencing Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, with that bathroom joke, at the beginning!!

Violet

This episode is where they REALLY start working overtime to make you ravenous for Ellen's blood!! You aren't bad people for wanting him to die in the worst way possible! Like, he killed Ned, he's terrorizing Sansa, abusing innocent hookers, having babies killed....no one is worse than him.

Violet

You guys are the best!! I can't wait for the show to be finished so I can start all over with you and watch it all in one long binge!!

Violet

It's a spoiler!

Violet

🤣🤣

Violet

Okay I'm going to shut up after this one last comment this has some of the funniest commentary of any video I've seen from you guys like this whole episode is just full of gems!!! The electricity is out where we live, and we don't have money to get the breaker fixed, I'm in a lot of pain because of my cramps, and I also stepped in dog poop this morning but I'm still in a great mood because this video has been so hilarious

MomzillaAngie

It really emphasizes how well made every single episode is. I always felt like each episode is like a mini movie. HBO money spent right!

MomzillaAngie

Let’s all go en masse anyway. It’ll be fun! 🤩

MomzillaAngie

Wait and see! It will be very interesting.

MomzillaAngie

I want to - but I have zero 💰 He does need to acquire one for sure. Dollar Tree? Cuz I don’t want him to cut himself! 🥰

MomzillaAngie

Good comment. It’s not really explained in the show. You need to learn it through osmosis or something

MomzillaAngie

Wow that sounds so familiar somehow. 🤔

Kimber Voss

Charles Dance is a master actor!! Such a presence in everything he does.. and that voice ☺️

Kimber Voss

I think he meant Eureka!! 💡

Kimber Voss

I heard that the Hound tried to ask them once, but they wouldn’t speak to him, but a Frey told me that and they are always late to the best parties.. or not invited.. ok. I’m stopping now.

Tiago Ferreira

Just FYI: The Mountain was recasted and will be recasted again.

Fallenshroud

Sort of. The bones are sent by Tyrion to Catelyn and Robb in the books. Then they are given to some of Robb's men to escort to Winterfell. But they are never heard from again.

Choncho

What's Mike got against twig weiners

Serpentfang

Guys, remember. Tyrion said it would be a good gesture to give Ned’s remains back to his wife so they can bury him back in their family tomb. That’s what was in the chest.

MomzillaAngie

Oh yeah they get lost somewhere and are never mentioned again. It always made me sad and wonder. I didn’t think they even made it to Cat!

Dawn

I couldn’t wait to see your reactions at the end and you did NOT disappoint!! 🤣🤣❤️

Willow Tree

So, Little Finger was promised Harrenhal, and lost it. It was not the place he wanted, but the title of Lord that came with ownership.

Joanna

Correct 👍😊

Kyle Kozina

The actress who plays Arya Stark is 29 in 2026 gents lol

nickyc777

We will find him one and dull the edges as he cant be trusted lol

Cristabel

For real!! Clarence was always plotting and trying to kill Edward and take over the throne.

Cristabel

Oh lord I forgot about that I think I’d blocked it out

Cristabel

The huge force Renly has gathered is also evidence for the fact that he’s well-liked while Stannis is widely viewed as an asshole

Cristabel

LOVE that show it’s so good

Cristabel

That story was BONKERS

Cristabel

Loved that so much— shit kept getting crazier and crazier and Mike was basically catatonic and Sean was like “hey, it’s fine! Not so bad at all!”

Cristabel

And all the rental income from its domain

VideoMixer1000

You asked why Robb didn't trade Jaime Lannister for Sansa and Arya, since Jaime was a massive piece of leverage, and argued that Robb should have "used the leverage." But the reason for his decision is simple: the North was never under direct threat. The Lannisters had no plans to invade the North, so this was never a defensive war. The Northerners marched south for one main reason: Robb asked them to help save his father. Yes, Ned Stark was their Liege Lord, but the lords and smallfolk alike knew this war was fundamentally about saving one man and one family. Even so, all the Northern houses willingly answered the call, fully aware that their own sons, fathers, and brothers might die. Thousands of Northern families were torn apart for the sake of the Starks. By the time Jaime was captured, thousands of Northern soldiers had already fallen. For the surviving soldiers and their families, the only semblance of "justice" or emotional peace left was exacted through revenge on those who started the war. Jaime Lannister was the ultimate symbol of that enemy—the perfect high-profile target to face Northern justice. Now, put yourself in the shoes of a common Northern soldier or a grieving lord. You sent your son to war so Robb Stark could get his father back. Your son dies in the mud. Your family sacrifices everything for the Starks. Then, you learn that the Starks traded away the enemy's prized commander—the one man you could hold accountable—just to retrieve their own daughters. From the perspective of the men fighting in Robb's army, that wouldn't look like a diplomatic victory; it would look like complete betrayal and selfish family favor. Trading Jaime would have caused an immediate, catastrophic revolt within the Northern ranks.

Kyle Kozina

The actor who portrayed Joffrey literally quit acting because of arguably how good he was as played an evil person

Allie

Omg they SHOULD!! They honestly should skip over HOTD completely and just start A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms instead.

Asmodean

Reply can take the throne and he thinks he deserves it because he is less of a dick than Stannis. (Which is a pretty good argumentation according to GOT standards).

Alan Stock

Yep, Tywin said he wants her to be the cupbearer. And noone would really recognise any of the younger Stark kids unless they had been in Kings Landing recently and seen Arya and Sansa at court. Tywin hasn't been to Kings Landing in a while, and certainly not since Ned arrived. Remember Ned was basically cooped up in the North for 9 years whilst he had Arya, Ricken and Bran (even Sansa would have been very young, she's only 14 or 15 I believe in the show at this point). Even Robert met most of the kids for the first time when he first arrived at Winterfell in episode 1.

Alan Stock

Yep the hate was so strong for Joffrey the actor got a lot of horrible flak in real life from idiots who can't distinguish a show from reality. Poor guy.

Alan Stock

Presumably the fractures/splinters from such an impact could cause other issues like internal bleeding, infection etc? I guess when we see in movies/shows people getting their hands/limbs chopped off to stop infection they handwave away this element, most of the time they're just dandy with a bandage wrapped around the stump.

Alan Stock

Is the Mountain the current lord of Harrenhall? I forget where Ned said to send men to arrest The Mountain in the last season. It's cursed and seemingly hated so I don't recall why they're all hanging out there (probably will be addressed at some point).

Alan Stock

About Rob not wanting the Iron Throne, he said an episode or two back (probably to his mum) that he didn't care about ruling the Seven Kingdoms or Kings Landing. Aside from getting justice and his sisters, he just wants the North to be safe and be King of the North independent of the rest of the realm ( which would then be the 6 Kingdoms I guess!). This was part of the proposal he sent to Cersei which she ripped up. He had said his general plan was to take Kings Landing to remove the Lannisters (seeing as Cersei rejected his initial offer to leave them all be), get back his sisters and then head back North. As he pointed out this episode he hasn't planned things out/thought things out beyond beating the Lanninsters though.

Tom Oosterbroek

Jaime is the ' heir' to Casterly Rock, at least in Tywin's mind, regardless of his kingsguard vows. He is the greatest living swordsman, and a capable man overall. Sansa and Arya are just two girls. It's harsh, but Jaime is worth 10 Aryas and Sansas Renly does not believe he is the rightful claimant. He just believes he would make a better king. And with his Mariage to Margaery Tyrel, he has a massive force. He believes he can take the thrown by right of arms. I don;t think he believes for a second he is the ' rightful' King.

Justin

The leg bone is much thicker than the neck bones… not to mention you’ll need accuracy while the guy is squirming.

Justin

The hound is the one with a burned face, he seems to be helping Sansa, but for Arya, he had murdered the butchers boy who was playing sword with her, when her wolf bit Geoffrey. Early season 1.

CaramelWinter

The madness of incest offspring is prevalent in the series.

Vero Chile

Sansa is trying to survive. Her only asset is being a Stark and having the potential to secure a political marriage.

Chris

Big gay fan here, don't apologize, I love your jokes. I honestly love Sean's jokes so much because we have a very similar sense of humour. Don't do drugs kids. Unless...

IntrrepidMrRico

"Is there anyone worse than Jeffe?" Oh man... I don't want to spoil anything...

Jeffrey Pridemore

I’ll tell you this, season two is about as rank as it gets. The show cleans up a lot from the third season onwards. Still very shocking, but not witch birthing a demon baby shocking

Tim Wayne

I love seeing your reaction to the birth scene.

theshadowfax

Some people just can't help themselves and have the impulse control of a toddler. 🤦‍♀️

theshadowfax

I really hope they watch a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. It's a nice little pallet cleanse from GOT.

theshadowfax

Yes, It was Ned's remains in the box given to Catelyn. There's no rotten flesh, just bones. One thing that's important for you guys to remember watching the show, is that a lot of time passes and they don't necessarily show it. Since Ned's death there has been enough time to call and summon Bannermen in the North which is thousands of miles in size. They have to travel, ban them together, March hundreds of miles South, and have three different battles and win three different battles. It's been many, many months since Ned died. There would be no flesh left. I just have to say I love your guys's reactions, and they're just getting better and better as you go on. I can tell you work really hard and put a lot of effort into making your videos, and I appreciate it. ♥️

Sarah_M

💜💜💜💜

Mitchel

pfft rat in heated cage is an old torture technique from like medieval era. Its not even the worst kind of torture either. Boats is the worst imo.

Perry Taliaferro

@ Shadowfax - Amen. I mean come on people, do you want to see them react to stuff for the first time or no?

Thomas Glover

Apologies everyone, just really enjoying the reactions and wanted to get involved in the chat, I hadn't considered it spoilery to imply someone was pretty evil in GoT but I probably did put too much info in this comment, so I shall think more carefully about what I say going forward

Noc

Love your guy's reactions. Bought some Sweet and Spicy tea at your recommendation, just had my first sip. Delicious.

Noc

An axe, no matter how sharp, will crush and shock the remaining bone. It will leave a ragged injury at the bottom of the amputation and not heal well. That's why they used saws and knives, they caused less trauma.

EagleEyed

Your glee over Lancel is hilarious.

Blackeyedlily

When Stannis had sex with Melisandre, one of you suggested that she would birth some sort of monster. I’ve been waiting to get to this episode ever since then. I hope you remember that this was something that was said. Because that was an excellent guess.❤️

Blackeyedlily

The actor who played Joffrey said that he modeled his behavior on Caligula.

Blackeyedlily

Yes, that was not an unusual way for dead bodies to be treated during the middle ages, when it was somebody of importance who they wanted to transport some distance back to their home for burial. And I saw somewhere else that someone in the comments said that the Silent Sisters might have their tongues removed. But that was made clear in the books to be a rumor used as a scare tactic. They were an order that took a vow of silence, and managed everything needed for burial purposes.

Blackeyedlily

Dragon Stone was also the traditional seat of the heir to the throne during the Targaryen dynasty. So while Stannis looked on it as an insult that Robert had given him Dragon Stone, while Renly was given Storm’s End, when Robert became king, you could also look at this from the consideration that the heir to the throne had Dragon Stone. And Robert did initially name Stannis his heir before Joffrey and the other children were born. But Stannis’ prickly nature did mean that he was more likely to feel insulted by the whole thing, which Robert should have rectified once he had “children” with Cersei.

Blackeyedlily

And we saw Loras put the idea into his head in season one. At the beginning of their scene together Renly was saying that Stannis came before him. But by the end of the scene Loras had convinced him that nobody would follow Stannis.

Blackeyedlily

Which is why you see that doctors have traditionally used bone saws and not swords or axes!😂

orbo

There are some great relationships that develop between certain characters over the course of the show. Also, love how you guys guessed immediately (last episode?) that Arya Grande was gonna make her own death list.

SpyC

It was in 2 Fast 2 Furious too!

John Malone

Not that it matters now. I both hate and love that I’m behind. Dread catching up, but want to give good spoiler free and worthy comments Renly had two convos in Season 1 regarding this. He mentioned to Ned that Stanley would be a shitty king because nobody loved him and who cares if Renly isn’t the rightful heir because Robert wasn’t an heir, he just TOOK it. So he can take it. The other conversation and idk which was first was the nipple shaving convo with Loras where Loras tells him he should be king and blood will need to be spilled to do it but that he would be the best king there is. Also yes Loras is considered one of the best fighters in the realm. He unseated Jaime in a tournament which is how Littlefinger lost the Raisin Bran dagger to Tyrion in a bet. Finally - Brienne defeated Loras in the play fight…. So how good must SHE be?
