I didn’t vote Titanic but I have the best story about it. My husband and I went to see Titanic for our first date 28 years ago. It was late at night, last showing. Just when Kate Winslet gets on the door in the water, all the lights in the theater come up movie stops. Everyone at the theater wanted to go home for the night so they stopped the movie - at an integral part of the movie. I feel like if that would happen today there would be a riot in the street, people on Facebook would be calling for resignations, etc., etc. We just accepted our free tickets that they gave us as consolation prizes and then went to Taco Bell.

Why these movies? For a romance movie, i would have wanted to have a vote... for example pride and prejudice or proposal or definetly maybe :(

I never liked Titanic that much (a bit too sappy and predictable for me, not regarding the inevitable), but I do think everyone should see it at least once. I mean, it was the most expensive movie made at that time, I think. We owe it to James Cameron. When Harry Met Sally I think is an overall better made film, but I chose Titanic.

Titanic is more epic, especially the second half after the ship hits the iceberg. But I find the love stories in When Harry Met Sally and Jerry Maguire much more interesting and intelligent. Hopefully, you’ll get to watch them later.
