To avoid a copyright strike, I'm assuming, they do it every 10 seconds on and off. I don't think they're necessarily doing it intentionally during exciting times of the show I think the show is just exciting so coincidentally some things will be blurred if they are doing it the way they do it

It isn't common knowledge to most in kingslanding, save for the Bannisters, that "wildfire" was once secretly used to threaten to kill everyone in Kingslanding by the Mad King. Think of it as a Nuclear weapon in terms of warfare.

So. Mance Rayder hasn’t been officially shown on screen. You don’t have a face to put to the name yet. But there was talk of Stannis all of season 1 and we didn’t get to officially see his face until season 2. And Tyrion, Cersei, and Jamie all mentioned their father the first half of season one, but we didn’t get to see Tywin Lannister’s actual face until episode 7. Just give it some time. They tend to soft launch important characters by talking about them and building up representations in this show before putting them on screen.

It’s the Westorosi version of Greek Fire which is pretty much no different from Napam used during the Vietnam War. More or less Cersie wants to catapult huge containers of Napam which if the glass is broken will set off the explosion that is near impossible to extinguish as it can burn through anything including within water. Not like they could accidentally drop a glass of it and everyone goes up in flame whilst preparing to fling it onto Stannis.

Additional Note. Stannis is a proven warrior and commander. However he’s overshadowed when compared to Robert and Ned when it comes to War. Robert was the hero and Ned was the brother Robert wanted not the brother he had with Stannis. Renly on the other hand was as too young during the Rebellion, probably around Bran’s age compared to Robert and Ned being around the Age of Rob and Jon snow. The important thing when looking at Stannis is that he’s stern and has a rigid sense of honour like Ned but he’s not Ned despite those similarities. A real case of living in the shadow of your older brother and him preferring a guy like you in some ways better than you his actual brother.

We have now met the legend who narrated all the GoT audiobooks! Roy Dotrice plays the pyromancer. He holds some kind of record for number of different voices he does for an audiobook series. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 94. RIP to that amazing voice!

P.s the Half Hand jibe about Tyrion , I think you might need to call George as that was fucking Brilliant hahha. The fact nobody has ever from my experience watching caught or said that is a crime !!!! P.s Dracarys mean dragon fire , it’s no different from calling out orders for a dog like sit , play dead and shake. If you want the dragon to breathe fire on command you say Dracarys if you are bonded to them. (Dany is bonded to her dragons , not everyone can just scream Dracarys to get the dragon to obey) This little dragon was trying to breathe fire as you can see but again too young to get those flames going.

Last jab out of me and I apologise for multiple messages hahaha Stannis is also opposed to Rob and the North as he is against the Lannisters ruling in Kingslanding. Stannis wants to be King of the Seven Kingdoms , the North is one of those seven kingdoms. (No one is king but me) Rob and the North declaring independence is not only Rob trying to steal 1 of the kingdoms from Stannis , but also a case of the Northerners and the Starks are committing treason by rejecting Stannis as their rightful King with the Starks being their overlords sworn to Stannis as the monarch and ruler. With that said Renly offer to Catlyn was basically Rob can call himself king and rule autonomously from Kingslanding , however the North will not be independent and Rob will have to swear loyalty and fealty to Renly as King of the Seven Kingdoms.

Sam also knows things as he is very well read. Would you call Tyrion useless because he’s not Jaime ? Sam has a lot to offer problem is that he’s not Jon Snow. Sam has the capacity to make a great advisor / thinker needed in this fight. The enemies beyond the wall will not be defeated if they are united as they are by this man called Mance Rayder who was a former nights watch man turned unifier of the people living beyond the wall / seven kingdoms where civilisation is divided by the wall. The wildlings as we know it stand within the hundreds of thousands instead the barely thousand and a half associated with the Nights Watch. If they are truly united under a single figure, they can overwhelm the nights watch and begin to ravage the seven kingdoms starting with the North. Sam has his purpose , he just isn’t utilised right for this war.

The opening banter about the swords and the pocket knives was crazy funny, guys! It’s not the size of the sword as long as you can get in there and whittle! OMG 😆 FYI Fun fact: Jon’s sword, Longclaw, is a bastard sword (ironically), shorter and easier to wield than Ned Stark’s sword. His sword was Ice, a greatsword, which is a biggie. Both are made of Valyrian steel which make them extremely light, sharp and valuable.

Love it, guys! Teeny request - not a criticism: is there any way we could reduce the blur on the videos? At a minimum, just so we can see the subtitles when characters are speaking a foreign language. Obviously, in an ideal world, there wouldn’t be a need for the blur (not sure whether Patreon checks for copyrighted video?), but if it has to be there, leaving a bit visible at the bottom of the screen would be nice. Again - not a criticism - I will watch you dudes regardless haha! It’s just a “would be nice” Oh and Sam is my boy. I would 100% do what John Snow is doing and befriend him

OK….. regarding Sam…. In what OTHER EPIC story do we encounter a gentle, unassuming, loyal character like him, ALSO named Sam….?? There were probably those who in early days were also doubting Samwise’s strength as a character and saw him as Sean describes Samwell Tarley….. That’s all I’m gonna say about that. You’ll get used to Jaqen H'ghar, (more properly called Jaqen Jill🤣), speaking in this mysterious, riddle like way. He’s a fascinating character! “Jaqen Jill- a man who kills- for a Girl who fetches water” 😂

Guys are complaining that Arya, a little girl, isn’t thinking strategically enough. Yet at least one of them says she should have told the assassin to kill Joffrey, without realizing that Joffrey is probably one of the greatest assets the Baratheons and Starks have against the Lannisters. The dude is such an idiot that he sabotages practically every other thing the Lannisters try to do. So yeah, assassinating Joffrey really isn’t a great idea. You should probably keep him in charge of the Lannisters for as long as possible, and then you’ll win easily, lol 😂

The woman in the mask is called Quaithe. This is her only appearance in the show, but she has a bigger role in the books. I think the script writers weren't sure how to write her and I think they combined her character with Melisandre, the Red Woman. EDIT: I love Sam. And I wish I could say why.

I mean yeah it's unfortunate (it will be an automated process) but it would be a ton of work to go through every episode and customise the blurring timings, given that they pump out a bunch of other content I understand it. Kind of thing an editor would be good to have for if they can afford it in the future.

I think Sean's read on Sam is completely valid at this point. In the cutthroat world of GOT Sam seems ideal fodder for meeting an untimely demise and driving Jon's plot/motivation forward. Especially as we've seen what happens to 'good' characters like old Neddy boy!
