Weston Roberts

I’m counting the days until specific episodes (many in Season 3) to see and hear their reaction.

Jacob

It is midnight here and I am tired, but there is a new Game of Thrones react drop and I have chicken nuggets in the fridge. I think we all know what the correct decision is here.

American Mum Reacts

About the Ygritte and Jon scene... it's just like the Native-Americans having American land then white men takeover

Distantnova

I think in season 1 it was revealed that Jorah was sending reports on Daenerys's pregnancy to Varys.

Jane at Home

The Mountain was recast for each of the first three seasons. The first one was excellent casting, but apparently he was harassing some cast/crew and was fired. This one was tall, but too skinny. Don't worry, for Season 4 they find the One for the rest of the series.

Kenzie

I missed it when he betrayed her on first watch. It was a small comment made during a meeting when Robert was alive. He was keeping the small council informed of what was happening with her when Ned was the hand. Thats how they knew she as pregnant, and why Ned tried to quit.

MrGustavevil

Jorah was the one sending intel back to Varys and co about the remaining Targareans - that's how King Robert found out about her & the dragons.

Hardwood Junkies

That *was* the Mountain speaking with Tywin. They changed actors a few times. On y'all's objection to Dany saying she can't trust anyone to Jorah, not that Dany knows this, but don't forget he was spying on her for King Robert through Varys, for which he received his Royal Pardon in Season 1. That's how Jorah was able to save Dany from the would-be assassin trying to poison her with his wine. Not because he sniffed it out, but because he knew of the Crown's plans for her. But at the last second he decided to save her.

Jacob

And that this is what led to the wine merchant attempting to poison her!

American Mum Reacts

Jorah was the one who was a spy for Varys and that's how Robert Baratheon knew she was pregnant...

Hardwood Junkies

Haha you wrote that right when I was adding that point. Exactly right! And how Jorah was able to "save" her from him.

Jane at Home

Jorah "betrayed" Daenerys when he sent the message to King's Landing (Varys) informing that she was pregnant, but that was before he realized his loyalty belonged to her (when he realized the assassination was in play at the marketplace).

Kylezart

They changed the actor of the mountain up a few times. That was the second iteration of the mountain, I think. The hound and the mountain are the only 2 Cleganes.

DarkAether

That big guy IS the mountain haha :D and btw, why isn't this channel called Mike & Shawn presents? just wondering

Chuckloaf

I've already went on StubHub to reserve my seats for "Gut Smock". Tickets start at $127. Ok, Jorah "betrayed" Khaleesi when he was spying on her in season one. When Jorah found out she was pregnant, he rode to the nearest town to send word to Varys. The tall Clegane is "The Mountain". They like re-casting that role every five minutes. And what will it take to get an extra episode of GoT every week? What if all the patrons chip-in an extra $19.25 each? Deal?

Luke

"pull his haime tricks" 😂😂😂

Weston Roberts

There’s a part in this episode where you thought you missed something, but you didn’t. It hasn’t been revealed (has to do with betrayal).

Kylezart

Remember Jorah was the messenger for Varys? He was reporting basically her every movement right up until she was about to relieve poisonous wine in Vais Dothrak. But he interviened and Khal Drogo was furious and swore to begin his quest of crossing the narrow sea into westeros.

Steven A Brown

!! WITH ANGRY WORDS !! Betrayal • Ser Jorah Mormont's betrayal to Daenerys Targaryen is that he was secretly a spy for Lord Varys (The Spider), he reported on Dany's movements (hoping for a royal pardon). His reports, including that she was pregnant, which prompt King Robert to send assassins after her (the poisoned wine merchant) !! WITH ANGRY WORDS !!

Kimber Voss

Random useless but interesting fact, since Cersei was talking of birthing babies.. The actor, Lena Heady, was pregnant in real life during the filming of season 1..if anyone ever goes back & watches, it's neat to see how they hide her baby bump with costuming and camera angles & props..XO

Phylicia ✨🌸

Made me smile when I heard “You know nothing, Jon Snow” again ☺️☺️☺️

Corey

Jorah was spying on Dany all of season 1 for King Robert and passing information. But just after he got his royal pardon for his crimes Jorah stopped the poison assassination attempt on Dany by the wine merchant. I believe it was ep 7. That's when he chose Dayenarus as his Queen n vowed to serve her instead of returning home. That's the betrayal.

Freddie Meredith

Arya has my favorite story arch in the whole series. The hound is my second favorite.

Kyle From Canada

One detail I like is that Jorah didn’t actually know about the assassination attempt until they pardoned him. He realized that they’d only let him go home if they didn’t need him there anymore.

Kisha Potts

Just a quick interesting tidbit, the girl who Rob Stark is crushing hard for, the actress name is Oona Chaplin in real life. She is THE Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter. How cool is that?! After I first watched these seasons of GOT, there was a series called Taboo which takes place in 1814 British empire trade wars. It stars Oona Chaplin with Tom Hardy and many other notable names. She did amazing! It’s actually really eerie, dark, broody yet cool series. I really enjoyed it despite all the questions I had about what was happening. Maybe you guys could check it out eventually 😃

Kaylen

Same. And we know what you episode you speak of

MomzillaAngie

I missed it on first watch too. It’s subtle and mentioned in passing each time.

MomzillaAngie

Interesting! And she is so beautiful too.

Kaylen

Sorry, no, it's not like that at all. The wall was built during the First Men and whoever was north of that wall stayed where they were (the true North) and everyone south of the wall became part of the kingdom of the North. The wall divided the people and different cultures were created because of that separation. Since the true North wasn't part of the seven kingdoms, the people north of the wall are free from the king's rule (hence why they are called Free Folk). The wall was not built to conquer the people in the true North. It built for one purpose: protection against the Night walkers

Kisha Potts

She's even more beautiful in Taboo. I highly recommend watching it!

theshadowfax

Yeah it was like that when the wall was built how many thousands of years ago, but obviously politics have change greatly since the wall was first created. During the time of GOT people consider the main function of the Wall was to keep the wildlings out. Wildlings, who are of the first men which means they are native to Westeros. And during that time they were not many descendants left. They weren't allow to go south of the Wall even if they wanted to, so that negates what you said about them having a choice, in the current day. So I would say the current day Wall situation is very much like indigenous Americans versus colonist, and the purpose and politics of the Wall when it was first created is not very relevant.

Rekebeger

I have to be honest here! I love your reaction to Game of Thrones so much, that I really want you to finish the reaction for the entire series before you go on with something else. :D

Joanna

Ricon (little brother) left the nuts, not Hodor

Kenzie

Especially when you dont have all the names memorized yet

That European Guy

I agree. That show is twisted but marvelously made, and Oona Chaplin is mesmerizing there.

joeltt1

Sean, I've heard using maps can help following along, you know LOL

Khali

The actor of John Snow and the redhead actress wildling are married irl.

Gryff

9:43 Thank you both. I appreciate the craft.

ArcticMouse13

Hey guys.. super random, but how does your set up look like? lol Cameras/audio. As a photographer/videographer, I’m curious.

nezudev

Huh, I think the first guy just left to work on the hobbit movies

Mitchel

Hey we wouldnt be calling you idiots if we didnt love ya. We wouldnt even be watching if we didnt love ya.

Kate

I think I saw another comment that was great advice, watch those little recaps before every episode. They are maybe a minute long. It gives you any information you may need that will be relevant in the episode coming up. Suuuuper helpful.

Jacopo Gangheri

guys jon and ygritte got merried after the show !!! that's why they have a nice alchemy

SpicyRikers

My same predicament Right now but its Pizza xD

Coral of Bread

The goats return. Watching peak. Love the crt intro gentleman ❤️

Coral of Bread

Arya & Tywin scenes are so good! This show is the best at making perfect pairings work so well. You know nothing Jon Snow

Kate

Just got to the end. It’s a rough watch guys 😞 Stick with it. It is some kind of storytelling. 🫶

Coral of Bread

Jorah was spying on Dany, Viserys and Drogo's whereabouts in season 1. Then that wine merchant tried to posion Dany and Jorah decided to fully devote himself to Dany and stopped sending letters and saved Khaleesi's life. "I will never betray her again" basically. You two are doing fine btw ❤️

A Romanian named Andrei

Theon was what’s known as a “political ward”. He was ultimately raised as a noble, but with the inherent threat of “if your family ever rebels again, you die”. Fun fact from your resident Romanian: guess who was another political ward? Young Vlad the Impaler and his brother Radu. They were from Transylvania, but a were raised as prisoners of the Ottoman Empire. Vlad ultimately broke from the Ottomans to become king of then-independent Transylvania (before it united with other kingdoms to form Romania). Meanwhile Radu bought into the Ottoman Empire 100% and ultimately died while fighting alongside them.

VideoMixer1000

Me : please discuss every reaction at the end it would bring value to the show Also them when jon woken up with ingrid : "Were you trying to snip snip your knife in meee bum..... sorry guys im trying to bring value to the show"

VideoMixer1000

Ah and guys: regarding jorah you didnt miss him betrying deanerys. the scene makes only sense later so your confusion is fine

Yara

for jorah: if you remember when daenarys was almost poisoned with that wine merchant, just a few minutes before there was a scene where a kid hands jorah a letter saying "this is a royal pardon, you can go home now". A royal pardon from Robert Baratheon. There was another scene also in season 1 where they announce that Daenarys is with child and upon hearing it he stands up and saying I need to ride to Qo'hor (to send a letter). No spoilers, these are just scenes from season 1 to help you guys see why the woman is asking Jorah whether he will betray her again

Tyler Loucks

It was very subtle that it was Jorah specifically.

Tyler Loucks

Quick tidbit about Rose Leslie (Ygritte) and Kit Harington (Jon Snow), they actually met on this show and eventually became a couple to being married and now have two kids!

Alan Stock

Where the hell did you get 'widdle' from - lollll I'm from UK and haven't heard that since I was a little kid. Mum and dad used to use that (it means pee if anyone didn't know). Clearly Mike knows, but if it isn't used in the US how the hell does he know this random slang?! Hahaha!

Alan Stock

This is cool info, thanks!

Alan Stock

Yes the Mountain is confusing, as others have said it was an actor change. But yeah that is indeed Gregor Clegane at Harrenhall with Tywin. If I recall it was also his men who were torturing people at Harrenhall. He's a very nasty piece of work. The Hound, his brother (i.e. Hamburger) is called Sandor Clegane. As others have said about Jorah it is hinted at in S1 but you do get better confirmation later on in the show so don't worry, I don't think you're really supposed to notice/remember, it's deliberately made very subtle in S1 and only for very observant/rewatchers to piece together that early on. As it's hard to keep up with Rob's army here is a reminder: The Karstarks (with old white beardy Rickard Karstark leading them) have a sizeable chunk of men. The Boltons are another big group led by the baldy guy, Reese Bolton. Also Reese told Rob he would get his bastard son in the North to go and retake Winterfell, to stop Rob from turning around and going back North after Rob heard the Greyjoys had taken it. Of course there are a bunch of other houses out there with Rob but these are the big players at the moment.

Alan Stock

Do you think Jorah just realises on the spot that it's probably a Robert/Varys' assassination plot when Dani goes for the wine?

Becky Johnson

You can't possibly wait this long between episodes, it will no doubt kill you both. You'll just have to post them twice a week I'm afraid.

Blackeyedlily

It was said specifically in King Robert’s Small Council meeting. The one where Ned Stark quit.

Blackeyedlily

I do think it’s funny how much Sean like the Hand of the King’s pin, after giving Mike so much trouble about the wand and the maps and the Harry Potter glasses and wig!

Blackeyedlily

Even though the Hound turned Sansa over to Cersei, he definitely has taken actions to help her more than has had to. You were talking about that scene from a previous episode where Joffrey was having Sansa’s clothes ripped off her in the throne room, and Tyrion came into put a stop to it. It was the Hound who stepped up and put a cloak around her, without being asked. And there was the instance at the end of season one where he stopped her from attempting to push Joffrey off the Castle battlement when he took her up to see her father’s head on a spike. Even though the Hound stopped her, he did it in a way that also concealed what she was trying to do. So there have been multiple times, in addition to the outright, saving her from that brutal attack, where the Hound has stepped in on Sansa’s behalf.

Blackeyedlily

This episode, with the reveal of the two dead children at the end of the episode was originally aired on Mother’s Day!😳

Brandon

But we should note that Jorrah was spying for King Robert and he got that letter for is parden when they were in the market... but he decided to not be a spy anymore when he saved her from the poison wine in the market.

FoxgloveFey

It's never explained in the show why the Hound has a soft spot for Sansa but it's mentioned in the book. When Sandor (the hound) and Gregor (the mountain) were children, they also had a sister. When they were young, the sister died under 'mysterious' circumstances and it's heavily implied that Gregor killed her for one reason or another as he's extremely violent and quick to anger. It's implied that Sansa reminds the Hound of his younger sister so he does what he can to protect her since he couldn't save his sister when he was a child.

Marc Joshua

Don't stress about not remembering the Jorah betrayal. It's hinted at lightly in Season 1, but will be brought back up more clearly in the future. He used to be passing along information to the Iron throne (King Robert B).

Michelle Stump

I love that Arya is the only person who could make Tywin laugh.

Benjamin R

Hope you devoured those nuggets like a starved dire wolf
