I mean yeah, I know it’s long, and I get their reasoning, I just don’t wanna wait another week or two before I can actually sit down and watch both parts lol I wish they’d just upload both parts tonight so it’s broken up for those who want it broken up while still letting those who don’t care enjoy the entire experience at once.

Kyle Kozina

A Patreon part 1? How dare you. lol

Kyle Kozina

Literally just said the same lol

Snora

Just in time for my 39th birthday tomorrow! Screeeeeaming

American Mum Reacts

My favorite movie of all time! I saw it in theatres 6 times! Also, the actor, Bernard Hill, is the Captain in this movie and also (in my favorite Trilogy~ Lord of the Rings ~ as King Theoden of Rohan 💚

Phylicia ✨🌸

Excited to see this! Watched it when I was 7 (wasnt supposed to haha) and legit horrified me as a kid. 😆

RavenPetals

I hope they cut this off after the line "I believe you may get your headlines, Mr. Ismay."

American Mum Reacts

We ALL love Bill Paxton ~ Next true story movie to watch is with him, Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon called APOLLO 13 ❤️ 🇺🇸 ❤️

Melanie D

Just like we had it on VHS 🤣

Sean Zaccheo

I really hope they just drop it tonight lol I don’t wanna wait another week (or possibly two 😬) just to finally sit down and watch.

Brian Poitras

I used to have the vhs of Titanic. Maybe still do, and it was on 2 tapes. Are you guys watching on vhs?

Kylezart

I've been waiting for this day for so long!!! I'm 8 minutes in with ya!!

Echo Moon

I love Bill Paxton. I especially like his roles in Near Dark (1987), Frailty (2001), and True Lies (1994). He was such a versatile actor but sadly many folks do not know that.

American Mum Reacts

🌟 THANKS FOR GOING BACK A FEW SECONDS AFTER PAUSING 🌟

Kylezart

Yeah, James Cameron recreated the boat at 1/3 the scale.

Melinda Sandstedt

Me too! Was looking forward to watching this 🥹

Ashley Pedersen

One of the sets was built almost to scale, that is true

Ben Hop Pop

Mikey, please watch the Haunting of Hill House when you hit 100K!

Jamie Walton

Please post 2 asap. Locked in!💯❤️

Tom R

About the ship - they did build it, 9/10 scale size. Cameron seriously went all out on this, the budget blows everything ever made before it out of the water. Or into it.

Matt R

I was hoping for this omg!!!

American Mum Reacts

Same! I was pregnant when it came to theaters; I saw it 6 times. I stood in line at Blockbuster at midnight to get my double VHS tape 💚

Brian Poitras

At my local theater, when they finally said they weren't gonna show Titanic anymore after at least a few months, they were letting people see it for free if they could produce a movie ticket from a previous viewing. My sister and I made sure to take our mother to this one.

Erin Vincent

This movie is emotional enough but then Mikey starts crying so I start crying…. Every darn time. Man tears are my kryptonite!

Snora

Thanks! Honestly looking forward!

Snora

Oh boy the number of factoids i could share im a little overwhelmed. I can for sure understand splitting it up, as the VHS was split up too! Just hope that if you guys were as psyched to keep watching you’d understand how much we are! I knew youd love this one. Not many reactors do this one, it’s kind of my white whale!

American Mum Reacts

That's actually James Cameron sketching Rose... very talented! 💚

Krispy Applejax

Mikey's reaction was so sweet! You made my night. I love you guys! 🩷

Luke

"it just slides right out" 💀

MomzillaAngie

My first date with my husband was seeing this movie. Talk about sinking ships- should have known! J/k 28 years later still afloat somehow

LittleHorus

YES! Finally :) Can't wait for Part 2!

MomzillaAngie

It’s been 84 years…. (pop culture reference has powered many memes)

RJ Abad

Cameron's a deep sea/titanic enthusiast. One of the main reasons he pitched the idea to the studio was just so they would fund his trip down there. Cameron is also a skilled artist, and the hands you see in the closeup shots drawing rose were his.

721Marty

Just saw the movie back then, this one is massively extended! Noice

Melanie D

Titanic facts are a fascinating rabbit hole to go down -- the fact that her safety features exceeded maritime requirements for the times, what all contributed to the disaster, safety developments afterward, etc. You want to know something totally bonkers? Titanic's nearly-identical sister ship Olympic had survived an accidental collision with a warship the previous year, and a few years later during her wartime service she intentionally rammed and sank a German U-boat.

Donna Coffman

Of course she's spunky and a ball of fire...redheads are kissed by fire!🔥🧨

Steven A Brown

Horror movie to watch? in relation to this movie, i suggest the movie, The Abyss (1989) a James Cameron film. MUST WATCH THE DIRECTOR'S CUT VERSION !!! VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT. it changes the entire outlook at the end of the movie. it adds about 28 minutes to the movie. i cannot stress this enough, watch the DIRECTOR'S CUT.

Arthur Tollinchi

I’ll be in 2 weeks in Manchester but the titanic was register there for this reason said Liverpool but The Titanic set sail from Southampton about 4 hours from Manchester.

Susan Lowder

You guys should watch Twister next PLEASE!!!!!!

Alissa Tucci

I keep saying Midnight Mass on all the TV series polls

Random name

I respect the hustle, part 1 is WILD

Tez03005

Watch the Pope Exorcist with Russel Crowe 🤣

laurajoybubbles

Kate Winslet was ripped to shreds by the media calling her fat in this movie, I was 12 and didn't understand because she looks like an actual goddess

LittleHorus

I love Mikey's moments when he's tearing. He's so invested in these moments and the emotions are authentic, i literally cry alongside too.

Matt R

I think they would really love midnight mass tbh

Oliver Pendle

Dont know if it's been said but the late Bernard Hill, who played Theoden in Lord of the Rings, plays Captain Edward Smith AKA Admiral Horatio Titanic's Fish Sticks

The Quiet Comprehending

Aparently it is too much to ask, for just one person to "see me" like Jack sees Rose in this movie. Since I saw it in the movie theater at age 16, I have hoped for this kind of love, even in a basic, less romatic way. Maybe I need to find an artist that can see true beauty.

Sarah_M

💜💜💜💜

Just to give you some info, or a suggestion maybe, unless it's just too much for you guys, I would rather have a 5 hour reaction than 2 parts. If it's not something you're actually doing for yourselves, maybe do a Patreon poll and see what everyone prefers. Not sure if my opinion is the majority or minority. 🤷‍♂️

Ian Reid

Perfect choice

SpicyRikers

This movie still makes me tear up lol Id really love to see you guys watch the AI Movie by steven spielberg, that one will also really touch your heart and make you cry like i did, its a good one!

RD3

I agree 100% I'd rather a super long video than multiple parts every time. That being said, I understand if its being done this way because of all the work required for editing.

Lúcia Helena F. Quintella

Watching you doing the British accent just makes me want to see you watch Downtown Abbey 🤣

Erin Vincent

When do we get part 2 gents? So looking forward to it

Phylicia ✨🌸

Oh Mikey. I have never cried during that part of “I’m flying!” but seeing you tear up made me emotional as well. My Heart Will Go On will really take you to places. 😭😭😭

Eric is Me

Although I don't know for certain, I would expect it to be next week because Titanic was the poll winner for September's member request movie.

Abraham Perez

How dare you ignore, Theoden King! Lord of Rohan... the Captain of the Titanic lol And I agree with you'll, but remember, old money never expects to work to have a living. Their money talks for them

Driele Almeida

is part 2 coming today to patreon? :(

realwar44

2 part vhs: 2 part reaction is more than acceptable, lol

MomzillaAngie

I finally finished the rest of the reaction just now and it's so nice watching this again with you guys! How fun - so far. Great reaction guys! Smooches.

MomzillaAngie

Happy Birthday!! Enjoy your day!

MomzillaAngie

I loved him in the HBO series Big Love. Even as a polygamist he was super attractive! He could do no wrong. :)

MomzillaAngie

I always thought if that were me with my eyes closed and Leo's arms around me, I'd open my eyes, freak out and we'd both go in the water. End of movie. LOLZ I loved the reaction too. :)

Phylicia ✨🌸

Same lol I am deadly afraid of heights and drowning. Would also freak out and drag Leo to the ocean as well 😆😆😆

carrot

We have a cave in Yorkshire named after a one legged prostitute called Stump hole cavern!.. Think its a tourist attraction now, although I don't think I pay to go in!

Kate

That opening, giving me chills since 97

Kate

Flawless movie btw.

Bad_Username

Im convinced we all share the same childhood

Bad_Username

I hope you’re joking because what the actual fuck, fat where?

laurajoybubbles

Sadly not joking, this was around the time of the 90's heroin chic 'look' which progressed into the size 0 phase in the 2000's, if you weren't bone thin it automatically meant you were fat and the media was vicious about it

Yara

seeing mikey emotional was very satisfying, this movie just grips you in the most expected and unexpected ways

Allie

Still dying for part 2, I can’t wait

Allie

They need to watch Tombstone!

Allie

Those are my top two favorite Flanagan shows. Theirs minds will be BLOWN. And Haunting of Hill house actually helped me get over my fear of horror media and it’s helped me acclimate to more of the genre. In spite of Mikey hating scary stuff, I think he’d genuinely love those shows. I used to never watch scary movies and now Hill House has weirdly become a comfort series for me.😂

Kimber Voss

I don’t often love films in general with an A storyline romance focus, this is one of the few exceptions. It’s just such a good script. It’s also a nostalgia film for me, but not bc of the story.. it just marks a very specific/significant time for me when I saw it..and it’s strong, like music memory, but in film. If I could save that “time in a bottle,” though, I’d probably just toss it into the ocean. Xo

Alissa Tucci

Totally agree! Or take your time with the editing and just post both parts at the same time so we can watch it all at once! :)

Christopher Altamirano

Also just thought, on patreon I dont think you have to censor anything? Shouldnt there be a patreon cut and a youtube cut with censorship?

Eric is Me

Patreon still requires edits for copyright reasons. They aren't as strict as YouTube, but they have been known to delete channels that egregiously violate copyright. The guys are trying to follow the rules and accommodate members at the same time. It's a delicate dance.

Zoe

Fun fact: Bernard Hill played King Théoden in 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King' and Captain Edward Smith in 'Titanic', making him the only actor to appear in two of the three films that hold the record for the most Oscar wins of all time. Both won 11 Academy Awards, while 'Return of the King' holds the distinction of a perfect sweep, winning all 11 of its nominations. Absolute legend. May he rest in peace. 🤍

Fact of the Day - A Titanic Senior officer held the only key to the cupboard/locker in which the binoculars for the ship were kept. This Senior officer was 'let go' (sacked or replaced) at the last moment, before the Titanic set off. Meaning that everyone including the lookout never had binoculars... Very much a butterfly effect of events even prior to the ship leaving which could and may have changed its fate! There's also a theory that the sea water was so still that night that the moon light almost acted as a mirage on the open water, causing a blind spot on the horizon.

Megan C

I did too! The first tape cut off right after they realize the ship is doomed to sink, and the Captain says "I believe you may get your headlines, Mr. Ismay." The silence after was DEAFENING.

Megan C

When you realize that the night they first met, she was hanging off the back of the ship, ready to jump, and now he's brought her up to the bow and shown her she can fly... That scene makes me cry, too!

Bad_Username

I hate the media now. Thanks😭 “Heroin chic look” sounds fkn awful btw what the hell😭 I think it was before my time, luckily

nickyc777

Halloween is coming.... We demand a horror at some point lol, a baby one that will be ok for Mikey to watch and not burn down the channel :)

Megan Elliott

Hi! Huge fan of the vfx in Titanic and actually used this film as to write my final paper in film studies. Have some fun with these facts. Figured others and you guys might enjoy.: They did in fact build portions of the boat in Mexico. It was 90% scale but never fully completed. They would shoot portions on one side of the ship and then be tearing it down while shooting on other parts of the ship. The starboard side was the side that was fully built. Any port side shots were mirrored in post. The set cost around $40 million including the water tanks used. The studio, Baja Studios, is still there and is used for other movies today. The underwater scenes are mostly models. Real footage would be too "smokey" due to the sand kicking up to use. To achieve some of the effects, they built a whole "shipwreck" titanic model, flipped it up over onto the ceiling upside down and fed fog into the room and shot everything, then flipped to rightside up in post. The scene where Jack yells "I'm the king of the world" and then it flies through the length of the ship has been dubbed "The Million Dollar Shot" because back then it literally cost a million dollars to create the visual effects needed to achieve it. The practices used here, including some water effects and full human body animations, were new or never been done before and very costly to use/create. The 1st class smoke room that they cut to when they are downstairs at the 3rd class party is the only set they totally green screened/made in 3d. Also, super surprised they didn't clock the King of Rohan from LOTR as Captain Smith lol

Maikel

GUYS I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BUT I JUST CANT WAIT FOR PART 2 PLEASEEEE I beg youu. Release it Today or Tomorrow bsc Im gonna die from Eagerness XDDD Love you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Jo

I love y'all so much. Thank you for a wonderful reaction.

Fighting irish

October 25th is my birthday by the way lol

Fighting irish

I’ve been to Ireland and have seen the cranes that built the titanic my Great great grandfather was supposed to take the titanic from England to the states but got sick like a week before and back then if you got sick you weren’t allowed on the ship because sickness can spread in close contact and if he took that ship I probably wouldn’t be alive today

Glen

I believe it was a fixed marriage

Weston Roberts

Scouse… a word I never thought I would hear on here. YNWA

𓆣 KAMIKAZIJUNEBUG 𓆣

Okay but 20 dollars back then was like damn near 700 dollars. I’d be happy w that I’m not gonna lie, especially given that I wouldn’t have expected anything in the first place.

orbo

Six more till MSP OG!

Chris

If Sean has to do khaleesi, Mike has got to dress as varys. He only needs a shave really.

Dynastysc2

When Jack's about to receive reward money for saving Rose, "I think a twenty will do." >> Would have been worth the equivelant of £15,000.
