I finally subscribed to yalls patreon for this <3 I agree with the other comment that what really stands out about this show is it's realism, which is ironic because you'd assume a bl about an idol would feel more like a fantasy, fan fiction, but they really managed to portray a realistic development of a relationship for once. Usually bl progress relationships mostly through physical intimacy and flirtatious moments but thamepo starts out being more about these two people having serious conversations that bring them to emphasize with each other and recognise each others values, thus becoming closer, and when the flirting does happen the way they seek out each others space and time feels so relatable, its probably the first time in over a year that a bl has made me kick my feet and all that like this one did. It's cute yet mature and I enjoy all these different emotional reactions, fears, dynamics they portray in all the characters that are themes most of us can relate to in some way. I also like that similarly to msp, at least until now, while there's this overarching plot of what's going to happen with the group within those three months, every episode kind of has its own theme that is worked through by the end of it. The first 6 episodes have been very promising and I hope the second half of the show will be just as good if not better, if so it will be one of my favorite shows

Sounds promising! ThamePo is part of our monthly recommendations just as a heads up. Whether we'll watch episode 2 depends on the suggestion voting.

I grew up in the dance world and loved being in theater. I broke my foot in a bad accident, and I had to change my plans and create an alternative future. Leaving it behind was difficult to process, but my connection remains in my commitment to supporting it as an audience member. I like that you asked why someone would be interested in a drama. I think it is a good question as everyone brings their unique thoughts to art. I like that you discuss popular culture in a well rounded way: both being analytically critical as well as just enjoying the flow of a show. It is nostalgia and memories for me, and It won't matter much if it ends up being like DC said, " an emotional support drama" (BTW-love that!) as I just love watching dramas with these kinds of themes. In addition, I am so excited to see Sammy and Drake together. They both have great comedic timing, and I hope we will see them more (but I doubt it). Manow is still one of my favorite characters!
