Happy Monday, Addie. This is the perfect way to complete your Band of Brothers journey. I plan on watching We Stand Alone Together after Band of Brothers on Memorial Day weekend.

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 I don't think I've ever seen this. So, this will be a first time watch for me as well. I'm definitely going to watching this reaction, along with re-watching the last couple of "Band of Brothers" episodes later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

First 2 min, seeing that man cry saying what he had to say to his mother. will never not get me in tears.

Bless these dear gentlemen Some time ago, when I learned the difference between, Memorial Day and Veterans Day, means a great deal to those who have served. These are the men who will be honored on Veterans Day and the Heroes they served with are honored on Memorial Day. Ed Tipper, speaking of those who died. “A whole life never lived. No family…. Nothing. No children. No opportunity to have some satisfaction in building a life, nothing.” What they did do was create many opportunities for the rest of the world to build a life that have made an impact for everyone. It's funny, I couldn't quite guess who most of the actual people were during the miniseries, except for Guarnere, Frank John Hughes' performance of him in the miniseries really captured his kind of quirky character. 👍 The other person I correctly guessed was Winters, there's just something about the real life Winters' look and demeanor that made me think he was Easy Company's leader. And yes, these interviews were definitely some of the highlights of the show and just generally are a fascinating, personal look into some real life harrowing and heroic events.

15 months is quite a long time for training. So in the military there is Basic Traning that every person goes through. That is only nine to 12 weeks long, or about 3 months. Then you go off to AIT, advanced individual traning, which is usually longer. My time in the military my basic training was 9 weeks, then my AIT was 14 months to learn my actual job ill be doing. My grandfather was my inspiration for joining the navy. He was in the Navy and was part of the D Day invasion, it took him until almost the end of his life to tell us what he went through. I joined the navy doing the same job he did.

My grandfather was a veteran of Normandy and Battle of the Bulge. He refused to talk about it when he was alive. After he passed I showed my mother Band of Brothers. There were many, many tears. It cannot be overstated how important this series is to make sure the stories of these heroes is never forgotten.

Miniseries recommendation to watch: True Detective (season 1). The absolute best thing I've seen in a show format besides Band of Brothers.
