My Labyrinth reaction will be up tomorrow :) A lot of the other movies on the poll had a good amount of votes, so we're doing this again! You can only choose ONE movie from this poll, so vote wisely muahahaha. Happy voting! :)

*EDIT* Happy Thursday, Addie. All are great choices but my vote goes to Pan's Labyrinth (2006). See you tomorrow for Labyrinth (1986).

Chris

I hope Pan's Labyrinth wins, it will be nice to get a foreign film 🙌

JBK405

I'm voting for "Pan's Labyrinth" again. "The NeverEnding Story" and "Willow" are both great, and "Big" is pleasant enough, but "Pan's Labyrinth" has honest claim to being one of the greatest films of the era. It is a MASTERPIECE. But be warned, this is an Old School Fantasy movie. Harkening back to when fairytales were about monsters and horrors. It's a Serious and Adult movie.

Joseph Voigt

Pan's Labyrinth continues to be a requirement and therefore gets my vote again.

The Dingo

I couldn't watch Pan's labyrinth at all. really hope it doesn't win

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 I ended up voting for "Pan's Labyrinth" for this one since it's the only movie on this list that I haven't seen. Have a great day today! 😊

Luis Fernandez

I love Conan but Pan's Labyrinth is the better film (honestly it is beautiful). Plus there'll be a theme, at least with respect to the titles, if Pan's wins.

Patrick Egan

Very sad The Dark Crystal didn’t make the cut, I hope it comes back around. In the meantime Pan’s Labyrinth definitely gets my vote from these choices.

Alex Tan

Speaking of Guillermo del Toro, who directed Pan's Labyrinth (2006), I also suggest the Director's Cuts of Mimic (1997) & Hellboy (2004), as well as Pacific Rim (2013), Crimson Peak (2015), The Shape of Water (2017), Nightmare Alley (2021) and Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (2022). #MoreGuillermoDelToroForAddieCounts

"Last Year at Marienbad". (Original title: "L'année Dernière à Marienbad". ) 1961 winner at the Cannes Film Festival. This is unlike any movie ever made. You need to go into it with -- truly -- no preconceived ideas. It's probably the greatest of all labyrinth movies. Actually, it's a labyrinth itself. Even if you don't watch it for your channel, please treat yourself to the gorgeousness and mystery of watching it anyway. (Make sure you watch the Criterion Collection remastered version, or the 2018 one by Studio Canal, or the 2019 one by Kino Classics. Just stay away from the old one released by Fox Lorber; It's pretty terrible visually.)

Julian San

Let’s be real here. People picking Neverending Story because they just want to see Addie cry.

Billy Dancel

Write in vote for Ladyhawke. You will get to see Matthew Broderick again.

Billy Dancel

Those are the same people who voted for The Thing to gross her out but forgot about the kennel scene.

Steve Mercier

These are all classics...but Pan's Labyrinth is something both otherworldly and special...hope it wins.

Joe Blankenship

If I can only pick one, then I'm going with Hanks.

Myoclonic Jerk

Pan's was a delight of visuals and sounds, but Conan has a more linear story. I can see one getting easily confused by a single viewing of Pan's Labyrinth (as were many of my friends at the time). As for the others, I can never forgive Neverending Story; Big was kinda stupid with an overall message that I couldn't agree with; and Willow, well, OK Willow's alright. Besides, if you want to see something "both otherworldly and special" as Steve suggests above, how come my suggestion of Eraserhead keeps getting ignored?

Jacob King

Labyrinth and Pan’s Labyrinth are both all time favourites. They are very different movies but have so many common elements and themes. It’s like two geniuses being given the same toy box and being told to invent a game. Honestly watching them sequentially would be a real treat. Big does have a big piano though

Joe Blankenship

Do you have plans to watch X-Men '97? You don't really need to see the entire original series to follow it. A quick recap video will suffice.

Chip MC

pan’s labyrinth is a masterpiece

Alex Vazquez

Fire & Ice!!!! Animated Frazetta!!!

Randee Carreno

I didn't know that he directed "Crimson Peak". That's an excellent movie! And I think that Addie would love that, and "The Shape of Water" as well.

Philip Davetas

BIG is not what I think of when I think of fantasy. There's a fantasy type thing that happens. But the flick is entertaining though.

LightsCameraJake

I love how the least fantasy like movie is even in this poll let alone winning it. KEK

Philip Davetas

I liked her surprised reactions to THE ROCK. I have to look at the poll again, but did I not see BEASTMASTER on there?

Philip Davetas

I chose CONAN, because it's the closest there is to BEASTMASTER which should've been in this poll.

Philip Davetas

Could've been worse. KRULL could've been in this poll. That said, I think there are a lot of KRULLers out there these days. Some how these many years later I think it finally found its audience.

sarCC

Definitely more in the realm of "high concept comedy" than fantasy.

Julian San

Pfft. Big is about as fantastical as The Godfather is a slapstick comedy.

Byrd N. Hand

Yeah, I don't know why she included it in this poll. It's a comedy with a fantastical premise, but not a true fantasy in the sense the others are. But it's also one of Tom Hanks' best pre-'90s movies, so I'll gladly watch her reaction to it regardless.

SouthEasternKaiju

There are 3 top contenders, but I chose another. Hopefully you'll get around to seeing it later on. Can't complain though on the top picks.
