Happy Thursday, Addie. All are good choices but The NeverEnding Story (1984) & Willow (1988) got my votes.

Michael O'Connor

Willow is a funny and fabulous Fantasy Swords and Sorcery adventure! Starring Val Kilmer, and George Lucas and Ron Howard on the creative team. Great film and actors all around.

Jesse Shadows

You should do another animation poll so that The Goofy Movie can win and you can experience the greatness that is the soundtrack.

Henkan

Stardust is such an underrated movie!

WinkNudgeNudge

Stardust is one of my all-time favourite movies for sure. Such a great mixture of wholesome and humour.

Supr

The fact that Legend with Tom Cruise isn't on here is a crime. Otherwise a fantastic list

Kyle Brandon Sanger

'Conan the Barbarian' is one of my favorite films. Love the Robert E. Howard works. The character is at least 90 years old.

Doug

Hmm, no strong opinions on these from me. 🤷‍♂️ I voted for Conan just because the intro with the narrator and soundtrack is awesome and James Earl Jones is in it. (I just feel a little bad for Addie if it wins, but it’ll make for good content! 😄)

Doug

Flipping through the Fantasy list on Flickchart, another good one that came up for maybe a future poll is Time Bandits (1981), it’s a cult classic by Terry Gilliam of Monty Python fame. 🙂 (91% on Rotten Tomatoes)

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 All great choices for this week's poll. However I easily picked "Stardust", and "Ladyhawke" as my second choice. I don't see many reactions of those two movies. I'll be happy with whichever one wins. Have a great day today! 😊

Luis Fernandez

This will be fun, no matter what wins. I'm voting Excalibur, Conan, and Big Fish. If Conan wins, please please please do the sequel as well. It is terrible but also one of the greatest movies ever!

Kevin B.

Beastmaster is another i loved around that time

Supr

O man I haven't seen Beastmaster in forever! Thanks for reminding me of it!

Robert Bratcher

Great picks, I just picked up big fish the other day, great film 😁.

Archive23

Still not Nimona in a category in which it would fit! 😭 😭

Randolph Tirazona

Okay! This is what I want for Addie: "Excalibur" (1981) and "The Never Ending Story" (1984) and "Willow" (1988) for me and the rest of us!

zynjams

Stardust is a must

Jeff Hjelm

Great choices. Dark Crystal is my personal fav. Jim Henson’s masterwork.

Eli

I would have added Legend from 1985! One of my favorite fantasy movies ever. Tim Curry is fantastic in it

Alexander George

Granted the poll results are currently neck and neck b/w The Never Ending Story & Conan the Barbarian w/Ending Story slightly ahead, but THE fantasy movie out of all the choice IS Conan the Barbarian... starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.. it is the film that he become known for and started to get popular before the Terminator

Patrick Anderson

Hopefully next time you can add Beastmaster.

Julian San

🤣 Woman, you ain’t ready for The Neverending Story!

Jasbro

This is the first time a poll is impossible to pick something, everything on here is just awesome.

Shooter The Emu With A Gun

Too many good choices. On the family friendly side lets go Willow and The Never ending story. On the adult, Conan and Excalibur. All favs.

Daniel Lowther

No one is ever ready for The Neverending Story; it's something you've just got to experience for yourself, and hope you make it through in one piece haha.

Joe Blankenship

Neverending Story is a classic. And yeah. That scene.

Billy Dancel

Ladyhawke will forever be my “Spinning wheel” option so there’s always hope!

Randolph Tirazona

After these I think it's time for: "First Blood" (1982)!

Rollo

Regardless please watch stardust at some point.

Alex Tan

If I can suggest a topic for a future poll, then it should be disaster movies.

Andy Munden

Such an underated and under appreciated film

JAKH

Good disaster movies for a poll: "Deepwater Horizon" (2016) "The Towering Inferno" (1974) "The Poseidon Adventure" (1972 original) "Dante's Peak" (1997) "Volcano" (1997) "Battle: Los Angeles" (2011) "Gray Lady Down" (1978) "The Perfect Storm" (2000) "San Andreas" (2015) "Rampage" (2018)

Doug

Those are definitely disaster movies, personally I wouldn’t call some of them “good” though. 😉 (Most of those are under 50% on Rotten Tomatoes for instance, including San Andreas, Battle:Los Angeles, Dante’s Peak, The Perfect Storm, and Volcano. And Towering Inferno and Grey Lady Down are around 60%) … Which now that I’m thinking about it most disaster movies are kind of bad. 🤷‍♂️ Not all, there are some good ones obviously. Titanic (which Addie’s seen) is probably the best disaster movie I can think of off hand for instance, and Deepwater Horizon (which I haven’t seen) seems to have good reviews overall. Contagion is also pretty good (which Addie has not seen so would maybe be a good addition to the poll too).

Alex Tan

We gotta get Addie to do a rewatch reaction to Titanic (1997). #TitanicRewatchReactionForAddieCounts And I would vote for Dante's Peak (1997) on a poll as well. #DantesPeakForAddieCounts

Alex Tan

And another good one would be Twisters (2024). #TwistersForAddieCounts

Josh McHugh

The Secret of NIMH (1982)
