Captain America: Brave New World was just released to Disney Plus, so here's the full length reaction to it! I've always loved Sam Wilson (I was HOOKED from the moment his wings were revealed), so it was exciting to see a movie focused on this character! Enjoy!

Yeah I liked this one. Not perfect but I had fun with it. Thunderbolts is a huge improvement

Happy Marvel Monday, Addie. I'm so glad that you had fun watching Captain America: Brave New World (2025). Yes, it wasn't perfect, but it was still a good time. I think that the bad reviews stemmed heavily from superhero fatigue. See you on Wednesday for Dunkirk (2017). That movie is gonna be intense.

Happy Marvel Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 YAY! I'm so excited that you watched this one. No big spoilers in case no one still hasn't seen it yet. But I will say: fantastic performances by Carl Lumbly, Anthony Mackie, and Harrison Ford in this movie. Love that we got to see more of Danny Ramirez as our new Falcon, Joaquin Torres. Harrison Ford did a great job taking over the roll of Thaddeus Ross from William Hurt(RIP always). And this movie had a couple of surprise cameos. Now I'm really looking forward for you to watch "Thunderbolts*" when it comes out. So excited to watch this reaction later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

I'm with you, Addie. This movie is pretty good. Yeah its no Avengers Endgame but it doesn't deserve the all the shade. I feel people are hating on it for other reasons, like they don't feel Steve's shoes should be filled by Sam or whatever. The audience score on Rotten Tomatoes is 78% and I say that's sums it up. I enjoyed it.

Yeah, I'm definitely in line with Addie on this. Is it my favorite MCU movie? No, but I think it's ok, like 7/10. 🙂 On the plus side it has some great action sequences and the cast is pretty strong, especially Sam. I also like Stearns as a villain in terms of personality and abilities. Where the movie goes down a bit is, like Addie says, it feels a bit slow at times, and also I think the plot is a little weak. For a guy as smart as Stearns his plan seems like it's a REALLY impractical way to go about his main objective of humiliating Ross. I mean, seriously, he couldn't think of something more down to Earth than trying to start World War III? In fact the whole war with Japan thing ended up being entirely superfluous so why did he even bother with it at all? Heck, if he hadn't killed people, he could have had an even better chance of taking Ross down by just going to Sam and spilling the beans! It also doesn't help that the "big twist" is telegraphed pretty far out. And while Addie managed to avoid spoilers and trailers, the advertising for the film definitely didn't help because it highlighted Red Hulk. Talk about major spoilers in the ads! So yeah, this one is ok, not the best but not the worst. I liked it a bit better than Eternals and Quantumania, but I think I liked The Marvels just slightly better. (Mind you, The Marvels villain is really forgettable and the plot is complete nonsense! But once you get past that it's kind of a fun film! 😄 ) Anyway, looking forward to Thunderbolts hitting Disney+ eventually, I think that is actually one of the better MCU films. 👍 (And who knows, maybe Addie can use this as an excuse to catch up on What If...? or Agatha all Along. 😄 )

This had already spent some time in the theaters and I got lazy about wanting to go out and see it. Then I told myself it'll be worth the wait to see it on D+ Great surprise seeing this here. I instantly knew how much you would be excited to see Sam and you didn't disappoint but you rarely do. So, Thunderbolts, when you plan to watch it so will I. Take care, ADD-E

A picture of a "Red Hulk" McDonald's toy leaked out. After that, there was nothing they could do. If the trailers had downplayed Ross' role and not showed Red Hulk at all, that would've been a crazy reveal. But everything seems to leak nowadays.

The next phase in the MCU will be the Mutant phase. That is why we saw Beast in the post credit of The Marvels movie. And that is why we are seeing the introduction of Adamantium in this movie. By the way, Adamantium is stronger than Vibranium. However, Vibranium has electrical properties which makes it better to use when it comes to technology. For example, Wakanda would not have become so technologically advanced with Adamantium.

I don't think the trailer did this one any favors. I skipped it in the theatres just because the trailer made it look a bit meh. But I was pleasantly surprised,.. it was a good time.

“There’s a picture of a Red Hulk toy somewhere, we better start showing Red Hulk on the movie posters and show him in the trailer or everybody will know he’s in the film!” … Yeah, that doesn’t make any sense at all.

I just came back to this Patreon like 2 days ago after 7 months, even though I was subscribed the entire time lol. Anyways I just finished up the Defenders tv shows on my own time. And holy moly Addie needs to jump onto that right now. All of the Daredevil seasons, Punisher seasons, Jessica Jones seasons, etc.... were incredible. I really hope she does those series sometime sooooon, because she said her self that she wanted to see more of Daredevil and well, It's been since 2023 that she last released anything Daredevil related. Fingers crossed! And if she does do them, hopefully she does them in release order. That way things are more spread out and the timing is right with writing and whatnot.

Yeah, I'd call this a 6/10. It *probably* could've been a 7 or 8 if we'd all gone into it, not knowing that Ross goes Red Hulk, but it was spoiled by a McDonald's toy. Also, I wish Sam had taken the serum. I know, I know, "that's not what makes a hero," but I feel like SUPER powers are part of what makes SUPERheroes. The high-tech suit thing gets done to death. Even Spider-Man had high-tech suits.

This movie will always have a special place in my heart, because Anthony Mackie (Captain America) walked into MY Movie theater right before the movie started, and handed out roses on Valentine’s Day to all the girls in the theater room and gave a admirable speech to all of us. His team recorded it and he posted it in his Instagram story and then Marvel Studios reposted the same video, and guess what… I was in the video front and center. This basically means I’m famous now! I also have a video of him walking into my theater room, but I can’t share that on here lol it’s not possible I don’t think. This was in the Harvey AMC Theater on the West Bank in New Orleans. It’s where I live :) it’s not the best movie. But Anthony’s actions were amazing. I could tell yall the whole story about it from start to finish, because there’s still some cool parts I’m missing in that story. But it was amazing all in all. I’ll give this movie a 4/10 sorry Anthony :(
