Happy Friday, Addie. Thank you for answering my questions. Here are my thoughts on some things: 1. Congratulations @phillip giroux! 👏👏🎉🎉 Your suggestion for Stranger Than Fiction (2006) has just won Addie's spinning wheel. 2. The Fall Guy (2024) will be a fun time. Either theatrical or extended cuts are fine. #TheFallGuyForAddieCounts 3. I already know the first five Harry Potter movies by heart. The later three are a wee bit rusty on my mind. 4. If there's a rewatch reaction that I'm interested in, then it's Titanic (1997). #TitanicRewatchReactionForAddieCounts 5. If I could travel back in time, then I would meet my parents when they first started dating. Their first date was when they saw Ghostbusters (1984), which was one of your lost reactions that I'm eager for a rewatch to. #GhostbustersRewatchReactionForAddieCounts 6. A Tony Scott poll would be perfect. I've been trying to get you to watch ALL of his movies after you watched Top Gun (1986) and Beverly Hills Cop II (1987). #MoreTonyScottForAddieCounts 7. A zombie movie that I'm trying to get you to watch is 28 Days Later (2002). I watched it last night and I enjoyed it. I can't wait to watch 28 Years Later (2025) in Dolby Cinema with my girlfriend tonight. #28DaysLaterForAddieCounts 8. I'm excited to see the upcoming F1 (2025) in IMAX 1.90:1 with my girlfriend, next Thursday and I would love to see you watch it for the channel when it comes out on Apple TV+. It's my most anticipated movie for June. #F1TheMovieForAddieCounts 9. Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025) is my other most anticipated movie and it's at the top of my list for July, since Jurassic Park (1993) is my all-time favorite movie. Rebirth is also the only Jonathan Bailey movie that I'll ever watch, due to my strong dislike for both Wicked: Part I (2024) and the upcoming Wicked: For Good (2025). 10. When I took Beano's Which Movie Are You? quiz, I got How To Train Your Dragon (2010). 11. Don't worry, Addie. Goosebumps (2015) is a fun and not-so-scary horror comedy movie for Halloween.

I agree on the Ewoks winning. Unless the Hobbits put on a huge party and convince them to just join them in eating and drinking... Also, put me down as a vote for Fall Guy. 😊

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 Thanks for another great monthly Q&A for this month. And I'm looking forward to watching "Stranger Than Fiction" for the monthly 'Spinning Wheel' pick. Have a great day today & a great weekend! 😊

Hi Addie, 'Return of Living Dead (1985)' is one of the most influential zombie films of time, but yes, it is a horror comedy. Yes, it is a pseudo-sequel to George Romero's hit film 'Night of the Living Dead' from 1968, there was a rights issue between Romero and his longtime producing partner. Both Night and Return are often hailed as classics.

"Ewoks versus Hobbits" BLACK SCREEN: Shortly the music of "The Shire" starts playing. FADE IN: We see the familiar scene of Hobbiton come into view. The lush green landscape with hills and Hobbit homes cut into the sides of the hills. Various animals dotting the landscape. Hobbits going about their business, some buying goods from sellers. Near the center of the screen is THE PODIUM. OFF SCREEN: A Hobbit runs towards the podium in the center of the trading square. As we Move In closer and closer towards THE PODIUM the running Hobbit is finally seen on the edge of the screen. AUDIO: FADE OUT: "The Shire" INTERCUT: We see THE PODIUM center screen and the running Hobbit finally arrives, he quickly move a box from the side of the podium and places it behind it. The sounds of Hobbit Folk can be heard, talking. He then gets up on the box. "Here ye!" His voice rises. "Here ye ALL!" The Hobbit voices die down. He clears his throat as more and more Hobbits turn to him; some moving to gather around the podium. "The Ewoks are coming! The Ewoks are coming!" Some of the gathered Hobbits look to him with disdain, others uninterested... Some turn about and continue on their business. A few others look to him with concern; brows furrowed. VOICE OVER: Various Hobbit Voices Murmuring: "Oh no! What are we going to do?" A few say things such as: "Mind your own business." One other Hobbit saying: "They got no business here!" The Hobbit at the podium straightens his vest and coat and then shouts: "They want our food and our Ale!!!" SHORT PAUSE LOUDER "And our pipe weed!" He nods his head, knowing this will spur them into action! At the words: "...food and Ale!!!" Everyone turns to him. His stature changes and he rises up as best as he can: "Party Time!!!" ACTION: All the Hobbits turn around and run; all shouting: "Party Time!!!" FADE TO BLACK! INTERCUT: AUDIO: The tribal music of the Ewoks fades in: "Parade of the Ewoks". FAD IN: We see a couple of groups of the little Ewoks landing near Hobbiton, all marching in step out of their space ships in columns; all armed with various weapons; all ready to battle. Other space ships land and their Ewok troops disembark forming columns too; all heading down the dirt road. ACTION: Following Ewoks down dirt road. PAN towards a sign: "Hobbiton" with the arrow pointing down the road. The Ewoks columns continue. AUDIO: "Parade of the Ewoks" FADE OUT. INTERCUT: We hear the familar "The Shire" music start playing as we see Bilbo and Gandalf sitting. Looking at the Party Tree. Various tents setup, tables all over, everything decorated for "The Party." Bilbo: "Old Toby. The finest weed in the South Farthing." Gandalf Nods. Bilbo takes a toke, then blows a smoke ring as Gandalf watches it float away. Gandalf smiles, then takes a toke too and blows a ship to sail through Bilbos' smoke ring. Bilbo smiles as he watches. Bilbo: "Gandalf my old friend. This will be a night to remember!" INTERCUT: A firework explodes in a loud bang as it starts to form: "The Tree of Gondor." "The Party" is in full swing. PAN DOWN: To The Party. The big banner reads: "Welcome Ewoks!" The Mayor of Hobbiton walks over to greet the Ewoks. The Ewok General stares in puzzlement. Then looks at "The Party." He then smiles and turns to his Army: "Party Time!" INTERCUT: The sound of Hobbits and Ewoks partying filling the air. We see Ewoks drinking Hobbit Ale, eating Hobbit food and smoking "Old Toby." AS WE INTERCUT FROM "The Party" scenes we can see all Ewoks Partying, drinking and smoking to their little hearts content, some over endulging themselves. The Hobbits on the other hand aren't eating or drinking that much, nor smoking. We glimpse some Hobbits pretending to drink, eat and smoke. ACTION: NOW WE SEE varous Ewoks drunk out of their minds, higher than kites... Many are passed out. As the party music dies down we see various Hobbits shackling their new found friends the Ewoks. Hauling them off to Hobbit Jail. INTERCUT: The music of "The Shire" starts playing. We see Gandalf staring into the screen, puffing his pipe. Gandalf: "Hobbits really are amazing creatures. You can learn all about their amazing ways in a month. And yet after 100 years... They can still surprise you." FADE TO BLACK CUT HOBBITS WIN!!!

Yeah, you're right, I love 1978's 'Dawn' but the film has its 'problems', I mean it has so many edits and versions that its hard to pinpoint which one is Romero's preferred version. I also agree, I think Addie will be fine watching these films. They are apart of film history.

Do the Hobbits have Gandalf? And do the Ewoks have Luke? Who'd win there? Wizard v Jedi?

Since you've watched Ninja Turtles and all the Batmans, you ought to check out the animated Batman and the Ninja Turtles movie. It's really fun. And DC's animated movies are excellent.

Luis Fernandez

Nice... looking forward to Stranger Than Fiction

Andre Agog

Never heard of the movie but anything with Emma Thompson in it can't be too bad.

Oh! And if you wanted to, you can go straight to Daredevil S2. The shows are interconnected but that would be a safe jump. Then after S2 you can probably skip directly to the new DD Born Again series. You'd be missing some details but could get filled in my the Patreoners. Wait... Patreoners? Patrons? Patrists? Patristas? You get what I mean. That said, you'll probably want to watch Jessica Jones before S2 of the new DD series (plus that show is very good). And I'd suggest you watch the Punisher series at some point because it is also really good (we meet him in DD S2).

Fun Q&A as always. 🙂 - Hmm, I think if I was going to pick one Disney/Pixar movie for a rewatch it would be Up. 🎈 Such an amazing animated film and also a great one for reactions in general. - I know I mentioned it before but my suggestion for an animated Batman movie is The Dark Knight Returns, it’s fantastic! 👍 And for Superman I’d go with Superman: Red Son, it has one of the more interesting premises for an “alternative history” Superman film. (And just generally speaking the animated DC films are overall pretty good!) - I don’t go to the theater as much nowadays but I do go for the big Marvel movies, it’s just fun seeing them on a huge 3D screen with surround sound. 😄 Outside of superhero films, 1917 is the big one that comes to mind that I’m glad I saw in the theater originally, it’s just fantastic to watch on the big screen! - Regarding old Charlie Chaplin silent films, there’s just as much to react to in them as films with sound. Dialog still appears on title cards and you can tell from what’s happening in the scene what the characters are thinking or motivated by and so on. So you had just as many “oohs and aahs” or “No! don’t do that” moments as you would watching a film with sound. So while there might be other technical considerations (e.g. the entire silent film will have a loud musical soundtrack playing, which if the film is somehow still under copyright might be a problem) I don’t think you’d have to worry about not having much to react to. - If you do another Mel Brooks film my suggestion is definitely the original The Producers, it’s great! 👍 And it has maybe the most famous musical number of any Mel Brooks movie ever made. 😄

Doug

You could skip Season 3 of Daredevil but considering it’s one of the best seasons of any of the Netflix Marvel shows I’d recommend watching it just for that alone. (Season 3 is definitely better than Season 2!)

Doug

I agree that Batman Ninja Turtles movie was definitely better than it sounded like it would be on paper! 👍
