Help me choose a movie to watch next! These choices are definitely all over the place lol. Let's just call this a "movies I still need to watch" poll. Happy voting!

The Dude Abides

Oh you will absolutely LOVE Legends of the Fall. It’s easily one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.

pickupthepieces

Voted for Stand By Me. Didn't think it would actually lead the poll, but still early days.

Alex Tan

Happy Thursday, Addie. All are good choices but my votes belong to Stand By Me (1986) and Jerry Maguire (1996), since they're in the lead.

Chris Brown

Meet Joe Black is so unique in its plot and exceptional acting, a reaction would be recommended despite the low poll response.

Brandon Gibbs

Stand By Me is definitely a good one!

Randolph Tirazona

@Addie! Excellent List! I did an 'Eeny, meeny, miny, moe' and finally came up with "Meet Joe Black" (1998)!

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 All great choices for the poll for this week. "The Outsiders" easily got my top vote. With "Stand By Me" as my second choice. Have a great day today! 😊

Joseph Voigt

Stand By Me is a requirement. Period. The end.

Doug

Some good movies on the list, I went with Jerry McGuire just because I’m feeling in the mood for it. 😄

thomas king

All of them except Meet Joe Black

Pendragon1951

Will we ever get any movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood?

Mr. Writhms

Tom Cruise in "Risky Business" was ahead of its time as far as the screenplay. It was surely not the typical 80s teen comedy being released at the time. Despite the weak poll position, don't sleep on it. I kindly suggest bringing it up again. It's really good .

Tom W.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High has the single most paused scene in movie history.

Tom W.

Yeah. But the new perspective is even better. 😁

Tom W.

The 1980's?

Tom W.

Meet Joe Black would have been good if it was 45 minutes shorter.

Pendragon1951

lol that's not even close, Golden Age entails films from the 1930's to the 1960's films like 12 angry men 1957, The Adventures of Robin Hood 1938, Sahara 1943, The Three Musketeers 1948 with Gene Kelly etc

Philip Davetas

I pick fast times but it looks like standby music going to win both equally great films

Luis Fernandez

Voting for Fast Times. Would be nice to follow it up with The Hateful Eight, and do a sort of JJL then-and-now (If you allow ten years ago to be considered "now")

Phil Stubblefield

I'm pretty sure @Tom W. was kidding, dude... 😆

Phil Stubblefield

I had never seen it before watching a reaction a few years ago, and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it! But I can't remember whether it was a full length reaction or a YouTube edit, so perhaps Tom is right about the length... 🤔

Jacob King

Stand by Me is a classic and guaranteed to win any poll but Legends of the Fall is incredible, a real epic. Thematically they are very similar and they’re even structured the same way but the difference is scale; one is a slice of life the other is all of life. They’d be a good double feature.

Baldemort

Im glad stand by me is getting recognition. Wish more people would watch that movie!

Mr. Writhms

12 Angry Men is right here on her channel.

None of the above

Byrd N. Hand

I'll add "Horse Feathers," "It's a Gift," "The Bank Dick," "Kind Hearts and Coronets," "The Mouse That Roared," "Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment," "Bedazzled" (the 1967 original), "The President's Analyst," "Harold and Maude," "Sleeper," "The Jerk," "Gregory's Girl," "This Is Spinal Tap," "Better Off Dead," "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure," "A Fish Called Wanda," "Quick Change," "24-Hour Party People," and "Napoleon Dynamite."

Doug Bilodeau

"Ruthless People" is the best comedy of the 80s, at least imo. "Noises Off" is also great, but maybe works better as a play.

Doug Bilodeau

Long ago, I always heard the 'GA of H' used to refer to the 1930s into the early 40s. When the major studios really did run everything. After WWII, the movie business was in a bit of a slump and trying to figure out how to compete with TV. One answer was big colorful costume dramas and biblical epics. Few people had color TVs until the mid-60s. Some great dramas of the 50s, including 12 Angry Men, Marty, and Requiem for a Heavyweight, were first seen as TV productions, redone as movies later. In 1969, Easy Rider inspired an era of low budget independent films. Not until "Jaws" in 1975 did the studios find a way to dominate again, 30 years after the war. But under new management - dominated in turn by kids like Spielberg and Lucas. In the age of cineplexes, some older urban theaters couldn't survive all the transitions and resorted to showing porn movies in the 70s & early 80s. Hence the porn title on the marquee in "Back to the Future".

Alex Tan

If she watches The Outsiders (1983), then I would HIGHLY recommend The Complete Novel from 2005 that's 114 minutes long. #TheOutsidersTheCompleteNovelForAddieCounts

Your talking to a group that picked major league over Rudy. If this channel watches a good movie it's an accident.
