Here's the full length reaction to Sinners! I was nervous going into this because it's a horror movie, but this movie was incredible! There are plenty of jump scares that GOT ME, but there are so many powerful moments as well. Enjoy!

I can't wait! This movie has become one of my favorites!

Let's give Addie a round of applause for surviving Sinners (2025)! 👏👏 Happy Monday. I'm so glad that you enjoyed this movie. It's really like a grilled cheese sandwich. This is one of my ALL-TIME favorite movies that came out this year, alongside Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (2025) and F1 The Movie (2025). My girlfriend & I saw it in IMAX and we both enjoyed it. Even my co-worker, who's about to leave the supermarket I work at, enjoyed it too (she saw it in the theater, twice, with her fiancé whom she just got engaged to, on the Memorial Day weekend). I can't wait to watch it again when my IMAX Blu-ray copy comes tomorrow.

'Sinners' is a good film but I was disappointed walking out of the IMAX theater. It does have its moments but its overrated. Its not a horror film in my opinion, and its not scary. The vampires in the film seem like an afterthought. However, I did watch a video on Youtube, that changed my mind about the ending and the aspect of Christianity and Christian themes throughout. Jack O'Connell and Delroy Lindo deliver stand-out performances that stole the show.

This will explain why the aspect ratio is super wide and also full screen for some scenes. https://youtu.be/78Ru62uFM0s?feature=shared Dancing with the Devil: https://youtu.be/wWvVQtutmVs?feature=shared Michael Becoming the Smokestack Twins: https://youtu.be/s72cBC-v6UE?feature=shared Spirits of the Deep South: https://youtu.be/z1x1YpJWIHM?feature=shared Casting, Music, Hoodoo Roots, & Makeup: https://youtu.be/5UZ0UAOxp58?feature=shared Vampire Makeup FX: https://youtu.be/ELNkVGS1PJE?feature=shared

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 This is a fantastic movie to start off the week. Such a phenomenal movie. I'm hoping to see Michael B. Jordan, Hailey Steinfeld, and director Ryan Coogler up for some major awards during awards season. For Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler's first actor/director team-up, I very highly recommend the 2013 "Fruitvale Station". Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

Oh. This is interesting. I love this movie. It's like NEAR DARK meets DUSK/DAWN. can I ask? Do you think Stack saved his brother?

Baldemort

Okay, Addie, i have to admit, I thought the title said "Sitters" and somehow this would be some epic thriller about baby sitting. 😑

Rocky Road to Dublin (the song the vampires sing) has practically been on repeat for me since i first saw this movie it is so damn good. Such a fantastic movie, like you mentioned i have not heard a single negative thing said about this movie and its rare for a movie to get that kind of reception these days. I know sequels are always asked when a movie hits like this but Ryan has said he wrote this as a standalone movie which is does beautifully, however they could for sure maybe do a prequel about how Remmick became a vamp, he did mention how his family's land got stolen so there is some history that could be explored.

Andre Agog

I’m glad you felt comfortable enough to take this one on. Vampire movies are one of my favorite genres. They come in all styles, not just horror. It could be something for you to explore.

Sci-fi and horror are my top 2 favorite genres so I commend you, Addie, for stepping out of your comfort zone outside of October for nice change. Though I felt this movie was more on the mild side when it comes to horror, I found it superbly written, shot, and acted. I haven't watched the reaction yet but I don't remember a lot of jump scares in this one. I assume you did have to use your karate hands much? 🙂

MrAustincummings

It's From Dusk till Dawn set in Jim Crow South. Brilliant!

Luis Fernandez

I know I'm in the minority but I'm not very impressed by this one. I think it is a good movie but it didn't resonate with me the way it has with others. Oh well. I'd recommend you follow this up with one of this film's influences, From Dusk Til Dawn (1996). It has a completely different tone but to me it is the more entertaining movie.

Kawaii Leonard

Does this mean we can choose horror films outside of Halloween season? 🙃

Billy Dancel

Around the time of the garlic scene it slowed down a little but other than that this movie killed it. jk kinda I will be downloading a lot of the music. Thank you, Ludwig Goransson. The Mandalorian... Black Panther... Creed... Oppenheimer.

'Scary' is a subjective quality - I know different people, all of them being adult women, that found "Jurassic Park" (1993) or "Beetlejuice" (1988) or "Silence of the Lambs" (1991) too scary for them to watch to the end of the films.

Doug

Also the director Cooper directed Black Panther.
