Easy. Karate Kid part 2. But I’ll nominate Rush too.

Alex Tan

Happy Thursday, Addie. All are good choices but my vote belongs to F1: The Movie (2025). #F1TheMovieForAddieCounts I also vote for Days of Thunder (1990), another Jerry Bruckheimer production.

Doug

I’m really rooting for Million Dollar Baby, I think it’s easily the best film on this list.

Luis Fernandez

You misspelled The Longest Yard (2005), it is actually The Longest Yard (1974] hehe

AniLunchbox

Now one ever watches the original 1974 The Longest Yard anymore. Or it's soccer adaptation Mean Machine with Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham.

Doug

On a tangent if you’re going to watch The Longest Yard I’d recommend the 1974 original movie over the 2005 remake. I think the original is generally considered a lot better.

carbsix

1999 For Love Of The Game

Flounder

Addie, have you already seen Bull Durham? That’s what I’d vote for if it was an option.

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Addie! 😊 All great choices for this sports poll. "The Karate Kid Part 2" got my first pick with my second choice going to "Talladega Nights". Have a great day today! 😊

Troy Sinegal

If you love the first Karate Kid Addie, you'll love the sequel.

Robert da Spruce

Rudy and Million Dollar Baby would be my choices Plus Talladega Nights for some comic relief

Doug

Bull Durham is great, it would be my second choice after Million Dollar Baby. 👍

Brian Littlejohn

Legend of Bagger Vance should be on the list.

Alex Tan

Since this movie isn't likely to win this poll, it better be on a future Brad Pitt poll.

Pendragon1951

She did say a sports movie and not a comedy or parody right?

Doug

Sports movies can be comedies and parodies (e.g. Major League, The Mighty Ducks, the Bad News Bears, Necessary Roughness, etc). Some are obviously better movies than others but they’re definitely sports movies.

Doug

Competitive martial arts competitions are a sport, so yeah.

Doug

Good choice! She should definitely put this on a poll of some sort at some point.

Ian

Even though my vote registered as The Replacements--which I've never seen--my vote would have been Rudy!

Pendragon1951

I guess technically that's true, I guess I'm just fashion when I hear sports movie, I think back to movies like Knute Rockne All American 1940, or The Jim Thorp story and Pride of the Yankees 1940, those are the movies I think of when someone says sports movie:)

Michael Saville

Is Caddyshack the most quotable movie of all time? 🤔😂

Alex Tan

I agree. I don't get why it's not getting enough votes. I'll add it to the spinning wheel in her upcoming Q&A.

The Dude Abides

Don’t waste your time watching Rudy, that movie is almost completely 100% made up, the other players on the Notre Dame team that he was on said he was a joke and he made fun of him

MrAustincummings

I don't think anyone is watching Rudy for historical accuracy. They watch it cause it's great. It's got Ted Lasso energy, and it's a beloved film.

MrAustincummings

Probably, my yearbook quotes were caddyshack lines.

Baldemort

Because most of addies patreon audience is gen x so they want the older films.

Baldemort

F1 is by far the best film of the year. I hope you just watch it for the channel! Give it a go ADDIE! It wont ever win a poll here unfortunately despite it being one of the best selling movies of 2025

JAKH

"Necessary Roughness" (1991) "Miracle" (2004) *True Story* "Concussion" (2015) *True Story* "The Last Boy Scout" (1991) "Pain & Gain" (2013) *True Story* "Le Mans" (1971) "Cool Runnings" (1993) *True Story*

crazyivan

If you want to watch The Longest Yard, please don't waste your time on Adam Sandler. Watch the OG Burt Reynolds in the original.

SmooothE🚔🚔

i know i’m in bizzaro world when Rush is below F1

SmooothE🚔🚔

and. I went and saw F1 and it’s pretty good but not great like Million Dollar Baby or Rush great

Alex Tan

Hear, hear! Please watch F1 The Movie (2025) regardless of the poll results. Other reactors have already watched it recently and I don't want the movie to be spoiled for you. #F1TheMovieForAddieCounts

Doug

A quick suggestion for the next sports poll, Challengers (2024) might be a good pick, it was a pretty well received sports romance film starring Zendaya from last year. (I haven’t seen it myself but it got some very good buzz.)

Philip Davetas

I forget. Have you watched THE NATURAL yet?

MILLION DOLLAR BABY is an absolute must. Takes directions you do not expect (cannot say much beyond this). Clint Eastwood won his 2nd Best Director Oscar for this (UNFORGIVEN was his first).
