My reaction to Sleepy Hollow will be up tomorrow :) That last poll was focused on some older horror movies, so now let's look at some modern horror! Help me choose a movie to watch next!

The Dude Abides

Dawn of the Dead, both the 1978 and 2004 versions

Alex Tan

Happy Thursday, Addie. All are good choices but seems to me like Get Out (2017) is winning, as of this comment. All of the movies here have my votes.

HaikenEdge

I feel like M3GAN is enough of a comedy that Addie could really enjoy it.

axr714

THE SUBSTANCE is a must watch for sure!

Archive23

I guess my suggestion “Freaky (2020) didn’t make the cut… oh well.

Alex Tan

But for a future poll, please put in I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997). #IKWYDLSForAddieCounts

Alex Tan

... particularly the 2004 Unrated Version.

Alexander George

Hi Addie : Really glad you included World War Z in this poll. Not giving any spoilers away here but all I would say is that this is not your typical zombie movie; directed by Mark Forster ... who directed the James Bond film Quantum of Solace starring Daniel Craig.

Philip Davetas

Every single one of these will mess you up. Whatever goes down, I'm down.

Luis Fernandez

Voted for a handful, but I'm really pulling for Train to Busan because that's just a quality film. I love Bong Joon Ho's movies but I wouldn't call Parasite horror. I think you should watch it for sure but it shouldn't take an October slot since those are precious. ( And I also think he has better movies so I wouldn't necessarily start there when diving into his catalog. But skip Okja. Meh. )

Joe Blankenship

I'm hoping for "Little Shop of Horrors!"

Supr

I'm actually a bit surprised to Midsommar and The Substance on this list. While they're good films I wouldn't think you'd enjoy either very much. Hopefully you enjoy whatever you end up watching

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Addie! :) 😊 Another great horror movie poll with all really good movies. I ended up voting for "Midsommar". Have a great day today! 😊

Randee Carreno

With the 'directors cut' ending. Love that movie, by the way.

Renato Gonçalves

All of these are excellent options, but I really hope it's 'Get Out'. One of my favorite movies.

Michael Kemmet

I'm voting Final Destination. I'll be the first to agree that there are far better films on this list(I'm not even sure FD is in the top half), but the later films in the FD series make for fantastic reaction videos and you can't get to them without watching the original first. But I also won't be upset if one of the other front runners wins.

Doug

Can’t complain about this list, a lot of good choices. 👍 I think my favorites are probably 28 Days Later, Midsommar, M3gan, Get Out, and Final Destination. (I actually think Final Destination is a little weaker than the rest but it’s a guilty pleasure. 😄 The latest one though, Final Destination Bloodlines, was legitimately good, probably the best of the series!)

Doug

Which one, the original black and white movie or the musical? (I think the musical is WAAAAAY better, but that’s just me. 🤷‍♂️)

Doug

Final Destination pulled ahead for what it’s worth.

Doug

Not sure if there’s going to be a third poll this month, but if there is here are a few (I think) somewhat popular suggestions that I don’t think appeared on either poll this month. - The Fly (1986) - Jacobs Ladder (1990) - In The Mouth of Madness (1995) - The Ring (2002) - Let the Right One In (2008) - The Cabin in the Woods (2011) - It Follows (2014) P.S. If I was going to pick a niche horror movie that wouldn’t win a poll, it would probably be either Triangle (2009), Behind the Mask the Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006), Drag Me to Hell (2009), or Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986). I can’t imagine any of them winning a poll but they’re all pretty good movies. 🙂

Doug

Right now it’s looking like Final Destination, Get Out, and 28 Days Later as the top three, of which 28 Days Later is probably the most intense. (Really good movie though!)

Supr

I won't have any complaints either way. I think all the movies on the list are good films. A majority of the community will enjoy it regardless

djKENTO

Parasite is not a horror movie.

Joe Blankenship

The musical, of course. The songs are so good and all kinds of great cameos.

Alexander George

Addie , the pollsters, as of now, look like they are favoring "Final Destination" ; but I do want to warn you, "Final Destination" is a very violent film.

Julian San

I like my Addie screams to come with tears. Train to Busan!

CloudSSj4

Lots of brilliant option. My favourites in this list are ‘The Substance’ and ‘Midsommar’, but ‘Train to Busan’, ‘Parasite’ (not a horror film, though), ‘28 Days Later’, and ‘Get Out’ are also fantastic.

Alex Tan

However, 28 Days Later (2002), Get Out (2017), and World War Z (2013) are the runner-ups.

Cameron Kerby

How about horror movies people have been suggesting for some time now? Like, Stir of Echoes starring Kevin Bacon.
