Happy Friday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Sleepy Hollow (1999) as your SIXTH Tim Burton movie on your channel. Now I REALLY wanna watch this one. In fact I just ordered my DVD copy of the movie and I'm watching it when it arrives.

The perfect Halloween film. Looking forward to your reaction, Addie!

ED WOOD (1994) is another great seasonal Tim Burton/Johnny Depp team-up

Addie, did you notice that in the finale Christina Ricci is wearing a black and white dress, a homage to Beetlejuice. I liked that was attention to detail in terms of historical accuracy: When the Contentatial soldiers are chasing the horseman, they are seen wearing blue and gold uniforms, at the time of the American Revolution, all New York regiments were distinguishable because of the gold color, its little details like that make me nerd out. Sleepy Hollow is a real place in upstate New York, Washington Irving grew up there. Also, Johnny Rico, Casper Van Dien himself, played Bram.

Loved your reaction to another masterpiece from Tim Burton, Addie! It was great to see you recognizing so many of the actors, here's a few that I'm not sure if you noticed or not: Ray Park played the headless scenes of the horseman, you've seen him as Darth Maul in Star Wars EP I. Casper Van Dien played the prick Brom Van Brunt (with a name like that, the character is pretty much built from scratch to be an asshole....), you've seen him in Starship Troopers as Johnny Rico. Miranda Richardson, was the Archer behind all of the carnage, she was Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Jeffery Jones as the uberly-UN-pious Reverend Steenwyck. He was the nemesis of Ferris Beuller AND Skip Tyler in Hunt for Red October Ian McDiarmid, the doctor of Sleepy Hollow, is another Star Wars alumni, He played Palpatine, the senator turned chancellor turned Emperor. Alun Armstrong, the cop supervisor in New York who couldn't be convinced that investigating crimes was a good thing, you saw in The Mummy Returns. Oddly enough, HIS character in THAT film was named Baltus and he was the museum curator who helped raised Imhotep again. Micheal Gough, the notary for SH, you've watch in Batman and Batman Returns as Alfred, Bruce's faithful butler. I mean SERIOUSLY?!?!?....this movie had ALL OF THE PEOPLE IN IT!!!! I'm glad you enjoyed it, Addie. Any chance that the vampiress flick Abigail is on your list for this month?

Fun reaction, still not a fan of the movie. I'd recommend Disney's The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949). I like that version better. For that matter, I prefer Mr. Toad, too. Heh.

This was a fun watchalong! I think "Sleepy Hollow" is the darkest story from Tim Burton that I've seen to date on my first time viewing. I didn't realize there would be a supernatural element along with the mystery.

On a tangent I watched along with the reaction on the YouTube version of the movie and it was a very slightly different edit. There must be slightly different versions of it for some reason. 🤷‍♂️

Happy Weekend, Addie! 😊 This is one of my favorite Johnny Depp films. Glad that you get to watch it this spooky season. After a super busy day yesterday, I'm looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great rest of the weekend. 😊

Dude, I watch that multiple times every October. Haven’t heard anyone else ever mention it. You’re awesome. Sad you don’t like Burton’s version though.

Sometimes Youtube only has the streaming rights for the "edited for TV" versions of movies. Sometimes they'll put the disclaimer at the beginning, but not always.

Thanks man! I grew up with the Disney version... I love it! I wish I could like the Burton version, but I just find it so bland. I do like the way they made Christopher Walken look tho... very cool!
