There’s a subtle hint in this episode about how bad of a person Rupert is. He mentions that he was spending time with the Sackler family. For those who don’t know the Sackler family owns Perdue Pharmaceuticals which produces OxyContin and they are widely blamed for creating the opioid epidemic in America all for their own personal gain. There are a lot of great podcasts about the Sackler family. I highly recommend the podcast Behind the Bastards which has a two part series on them and their role in countless overdose deaths. So the fact that Rupert spends time with them shows how much of a monster he is.
