Happy Monday, Addie. I'm so glad that you watched Dark Shadows (2012) as your spinning wheel winner. I'm adding this to my watchlist. BTW, I liked how you dressed appropriately for this movie.

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 I've seen this movie a couple of times. And I'm definitely looking forward to watching your reaction to it later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

Hi Addie. Have you decided how you will post Stranger Things reactions on YouTube?

Evan

I'm so glad you liked it, Addie. I've loved this movie since it came out and don't understand why it gets the hate it receives. Then again, I didn't watch the series it's based on so I have no nostalgic attachment. Eva Green, as always, is amazing. I watch it every Halloween.

I liked the dramatic side of the story more than the comedy. On one hand it seems as if they were going for "The Addams Family" vibes. When the scenes turned serious I like Johnny Depp's and Bella Heathcote's characters.

This was a fun one, despite the plot being kind of iffy. 🤷‍♂️ Really I think it’s mainly Johnny Depp’s performance that’s the backbone for me, he’s in practically every scene and he brings such an odd, entertaining energy to this weird, anachronistic character that you can’t help but be kind of mesmerized by it (so to speak.) And of course it helps that the production is solid, the movie looks and sounds great. In terms of goofy vampire movies, I’d probably put this a notch below What We Do in the Shadows, but still a good time. 🙂

Style over substance. If this movie had a much better script, it would’ve been one of my top favorite Tim Burton movies.

Cloe Grace Moretz was in "The Equalizer" (2014) and "Kick Ass" (2010)

Addie, i love that u did this one. Dark Shadows is one of my favorite soaps and a fun movie. Tim Burton has his own unique style with his films, and this one was mostly played for laughs. I'm glad you enjoyed it, but if it was missing anything, u should go to tubi and catch some of the soap. It also has a documentary called Master of Dark Shadows and another on Jonathan Frid, who played the original Barnabas. Burton was the perfect person to do this, but if it had been done in a darker way and was a little longer, it would've given u a better insight into wat the soap was like, imo. I'm 56, so i watched the reruns. i remember watching it on my days off when i was married. Minus the witchcraft, she was my Angelique, unfortunately. The show also had time travel in it and use the same actors in those stories too. In the show, when Barnabas becomes a vampire, he asks his father to end him with a silver bullet , but Joshua couldn't do that to his son, so instead, he chained him up in the coffin and put him in the family mausoleum. Dark shadows is a tale of tragedy the deeper i go down the rabbit hole with this one. The only thing preventing me from getting the complete series is that it costs $400, Well, ttfn, Happy Thanksgiving!
