1997 mousehunt or 1999 jack frost are two good movies.

Duane Klaus

Rise of the Guardians (2012) Not exactly a Christmas movie but it has Santa and in wintertime. And would love to see A Nightmare Before Christmas even if you have already seen.

There are movies that simply take place at Christmas time and then there are Christmas themed movies. This is a list of the latter. “Miracle on 34th Street” (1947) "Klaus" (2019) "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (1966) "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (1965) "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" (1964) "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" (1970) "The Year Without a Santa Claus" (1974) "Frosty the Snowman" (1969) "A Muppet Family Christmas" (1987) "Mickey's Christmas Carol" (1983) "A Christmas Carol" (1951) "Scrooge" (1970) "A Christmas Carol" (1984) "Prancer" (1989) "Arthur Christmas" (2011) "White Christmas" (1954) "Holiday Inn" (1942)

Austin O'Brien

1. Rewatch The Grinch for the channel 2. Christmas with the Kranks 3. Fred Claus

Daniel Lowther

‘Santa Claus: The Movie’ (1984) David Huddleston plays Santa Claus, & I think his is the best portrayal of the character in all of cinema.

Mr. Writhms

"Violent Night" (2022) It is NOT a horror movie about a killer in a Santa suit, as the poster may wrongly suggest. It is an underrated Christmas action movie that is no less than kick-ass. And a lot of fun. 🙂

Dude Longcouch

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special!

Jeff I.

Klaus (2019). Such a great animated film with a mix of heart and humor.

Mark Dahlen

I'm surprised that you haven't heard of The Long Kiss Goodnight. I know you're a big Sam Jackson fan, and he's awesome in this movie!

Red One is a fairly recent movie that is pretty fun.

Andrew Storing

• Jack Frost (1998) • Eight Crazy Nights (2002) • Fred Claus (2007) • A Christmas Carol (2009) • How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey version)

Lanny Stanfield

"Nightmare Before Christmas" is fun, so seeing you finish it might be good.

Crimson Ace

Hi Addie, here are two good holiday movies that it doesn’t look like you’ve watched yet. - Miracle on 34th Street (1947) - The Holdovers (2023) P.S. I think you left off The Family Stone from your list of holiday movies you’ve already seen.

Ian

Noelle from Disney Plus! Anna Kendrick plays Santa’s younger daughter, and she has to get her older brother, Bill Hader, ready for his first Christmas after Santa dies. Hijinks ensue.

Ian

The Holdovers is such a good one!!!

Ian

Charlie Brown is such a great classic 🥰.

Josh

While You Were Sleeping (1995)

CloudSSj4

Only one possible recommendation and it is Krampus (2015)

Steve SG-1

I don't have a lot of suggestions but here goes: The Ref (1994) Home for the Holidays (1995) The Family Man (2000) Silent Night (2021) Avatar (2009) I usually watch this during the holidays so it's real to me dammit! I would add in The Nightmare Before Christmas and Jim Carrey's How the Grinch Stole Christmas because those are popular and you need to add them into your reaction archive.

Baldemort

"Violent Night" (2022) Its like Home alone and die hard had a baby. Let do it!

Chris Brown

Spirited (2022) with Ryan Reynolds w/70% on Rotten Tomatoes, a very fun comedic Christmas Carol inspired musical

Travis Ballard

A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewert

Justin

White Christmas with Bing Crisby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera Allen.

Randee Carreno

Happy Tuesday, Addie! 😊 Definitely "The Santa Clause" trilogy, "Elf", "White Christmas", and "The Polar Express". Have a great day today! 😊

Alex Leach

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Tim Heron

A Princess for Christmas (2011) Stalag 17 (1953) - not a Christmas movie in the traditional sense, but it's set around Christmas..

Rey

One very underrated Christmas movie would be from 2001 called the family man with Nicholas cage, very sweet and enjoyable holiday movie

RegalEagle

‘Reindeer Games’ (2000)

Hunter DeRensis

If you want a Kubrick Christmas, check out Eyes Wide Shut (1999) with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. The Ref (1994) is a fun comedy. And we definitely need more classic Christmas, like the romantic The Shop Around the Corner (1940) with James Stewart and Miracle on 34th Street (1947). And if you want more of a spoof, I see a lot of people recommending Violent Night--which I found overly gross and over the top--but I loved Fatman (2020) with Mel Gibson as Santa.

Carlo Glingani

Santa Claus The Movie (1985), The Family Man (2000). Violent Night (2022)

Philip Davetas

COBRA (1986) is an xXxmas movie. THE REF (1994) is often forgotten. Almost every Shane Black movie is an xXxmas movie. LONG KISS GOODNIGHT, KISS KISS BANG BANG, THE LAST BOYSCOUT. Oh, and BETTER WATCH OUT is pretty good too.

Philip Davetas

Man, EYES WIDE SHUT would be blurred all out or just on Patreon.

Philip Davetas

They celebrate xXxmas on that planet?

Philip Davetas

KRAMPUS is a lot of fun. As well as A CHRISTMAS HORROR STORY which is Krampus centric.

Philip Davetas

Oh, yeah. Like that one. Sometimes I forget it's a little bit xXxmas because it goes into New Year.

Julian San

There’s only ONE Christmas Movie to watch this holiday season: Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) 🤣🤣🤣

Philip Davetas

Man, my ex wife made me whatch that and I had never seen or heard of it before. But that one band... What were they called the Swap Water Snake Spit Band or something?

Chuck Bartowski

A lot of good titles already listed. I'll give my guilty pleasure holiday movie which is Love Hard. Yes the title is a combination of Love Actually and Die Hard.

JokesterHollywood

Violent Night! (2022) Think, Christmas meets die hard. Its epic.

Mannygogou

"Meet John Doe" (1941) a snowy Christmas movie in black & white by Frank Capra whom you may know from such movies as "It's A Wonderful Life"

Flounder

Please, THE REF with Dennis Leary. Best dysfunctional Christmas movie ever

inspectordh

Miracle on 34th street 1947 version

Brent giesbrecht

Krampus (2015) is one of my favs. Nobody ever talks about it though :(

RegalEagle

I think you might be ready for the colorized version of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’!

Luis Fernandez

Here ae mine: A Christmas Carol/Scrooge (1951, Alaistar Sim version) Scrooge (1970) Miracle on 34th Street (1947) The Family Man (2000) Arthur Christmas (2011)

Luis Fernandez

And... ya know... you picture Santa's sleigh flying by the light of the full moon... and Santa visits London... full moon... London... leads to that great Christmas classic, An American Werewolf In London. Ok, now I'm stretching hehe

Joe Blankenship

Miracle on 34th Street is good. The 90s remake is good too. Richard Attenborough is a perfect Santa Claus, with Mara Wilson/Matilda as the kid.

Alex Tan

She already watched that for the channel.

Abraham Blea

Gremlins is a good one, too.

JonB

The Long Kiss Goodnight and 12 Monkeys

Dude Longcouch

Oh, I didn't realize. Thanks for the heads up.

The Man who Came to Dinner

"Violent Night" (2022) I've seen this movie mentioned a lot here in the comments so ill add to that! Its become one of our yearly Christmas movies in the family. oddly enough. Yes somebody got it right. Its die hard and Home alone had a child on Christmas 🤣

Robert Lemond

The best version is Black and White In the 50’s Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda and Gregory Peck protested against Black and White classics being colorized

Robert Lemond

Those are Movies she said she has seen

Robert Lemond

A Muppet Christmas Carol(1992) with Michael Caine

RegalEagle

Yes, but if you’ve done the B&W.. I don’t think it hurts the experience.. and you might pick up visual elements you missed the first time..

Doug

On a tangent this survey made me realize Addie’s already watched a lot of the really good holiday movies. She’s already watched I think 17 of the top 20 holiday films on Flickchart for instance and of the three she didn’t one is a horror movie (Black Christmas) and the other is a Japenese anime (Tokyo Godfathers). (The third is The Holdovers which I put down as a suggestion in another post, great movie. 👍) Obviously there’s still decent holiday movies to watch, there’s a lot of suggestions in the comments already, but I can definitely feel the choices tightening a bit.

phil v

Four Christmases is really funny!

Kevin Timmins

The Snowman (1982) - It's a 26 minute, wholesome, British short film. It's based on a book of the same name, written by Raymond Briggs. I think you'll love it Addie! 👍

thebeefmaster

The use of light and shadow in B&W movies is so important.

Long-time Sci-Fi Enthusiast

There is also the 1991 sequel, (Father Christmas) which is a 25 Mins film written by Raymond Briggs.

Long-time Sci-Fi Enthusiast

The main ones for me that appear to be missing from Addie`s lists are (The Shop Around The Corner 1940), (The Bishops Wife 1947) & the 1951 British version of (Scrooge) starring Alistair Sim.

Cameron Kerby

The Christmas Chronicles 2018 starring Kurt Russell.
