So glad to see Addie finally reacting to Goldeneye. This film is so special to many people of my generation because it was our first Bond movie. I remember watching it over and over on VHS and cable.

Happy Wednesday, Addie! 😊 Welcome to the Pierce Brosnan era of James Bond films. This one is one of my favorite of his JB movies. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

Happy Wednesday Addie. The Pierce Brosnan/James Bond movie mission begins with GoldenEye (1995). I have all of the PB/JB movies on DVD.

Adrian Duenas

Ok Addie, you’ve seen the movie. Now time to dust off that Nintendo 64 and play the GoldenEye video game! One of those rare times when the tie-in game is just as popular as the movie it’s based on

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about Pierce as Bond!

The Dude Abides

Can’t forget about the video game it spawned

Simon

My favourite film of all time, so excited to watch your reaction!

Good Pierce Brosnan movies: "The November Man" (2014) "Dante's peak" (1997) "The Thomas Crown Affair" (1999 remake)

Jo

This is the best Bond movie

Steve SG-1

This is my favorite Bond era, I love the opening theme songs, and action sequences. I think tonally I prefer this style of Bond. Pierce did do a couple of Bond games, but only voiced in one called Everything or Nothing.

James Waters

I recently played that on my ps2 emulator and I'll tell you what it still holds up pretty damn well. Great game.

Goldeneye may be my favourite Bond movie. Definitely a top 5. I also love the world is not enough. And Die another day, but I love Die another day in the same way I love Batman and Robin lol

I would love to see Addie watch Dante's Peak (1997). I can tell that she's gonna feel just as stressed as she was when she watched Twister (1996). https://youtu.be/InoLNnC9ekQ?si=enwPlPLUcNRgyx4L #MorePierceBrosnanForAddieCounts #DantesPeakForAddieCounts

I'm pretty sure that the writer of the James Bond novels, Ian Fleming, had a villa out in Jamacia or the Caribbean somewhere and the Villa's name was Goldeneye.

Xenia Onatopp—what a character!

I’m glad you enjoyed this one Addie! I think Pierce makes a good Bond. I forgot Sean Bean was the baddie in this one. And like some of the classic henchmen (women), Famke “Thigh Master” Janssen is way over the top (no pun intended 😄) And yes, that was Minnie Driver as the singer. Looking forward to the next one!

Bill Rudd

Wait, you've seen Mrs. Doubtfire before, right? Pierce is in that too

Xenia Onatopp. She always did enjoy a good Squeeze.

I believe this was the first Bond film that I ever saw "new". All of the others had been out for a while and were in The Past, but here I was part of the original crowd. There were pretty huge geo-political shifts in the world between the release of "License to Kill" and this one. The fall of the Soviet Union really made a lot of people question who The Enemy was anymore, with some people even saying that world conflicts were no longer gonna happen. That was unfortunately not the case, but it was reflected by the characters talking about the end of the Cold War themselves and wondering about their place in the new world. After the swing to "realism" in the Dalton era, here they swing back closer to fantasy. Space lasers, world-shaking threats, etc. It set the tone for the rest of Brosnan's era.

You have just seen the CIA actor in this movie two Bond movies ago in Living Daylights, he was the evil arms dealer. You have also seen Brosnan in The Worlds End in a small role and of course Dalton was in the prior Cornetto Trilogy movie Hot Fuzz.
