Here's the full length reaction to Boogie Nights, the winner of our Paul Thomas Anderson poll! This movie was a WILD time and has such a great cast! This movie probably won't make it to YouTube because of how much I would have to cut out and edit around, so I'm also planning on watching the poll runner up (There Will Be Blood) next week! Enjoy!

Addie I was imagining editing this reaction for youtube would be so difficult

The Dude Abides

If I remember correctly, this movie is loosely based on the life of John Holmes, that man had a 🍆 like a 22oz beer can

Milton Reduxed

I cannot tell you how happy this upload makes me 2 solid hours of Addie chair-dancing to the grooviest soundtrack ever!

JL_83

two things: first, best wishes in the editing process for this one; second, eagerly anticipating that reaction for There Will Be Blood…

Cody Cameron

Addie if you see this CineBinge did this as a reaction and there reaction is on youtube. Perhaps and by no means do u have to maybe watch their reaction and see how they edited

Randee Carreno

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 This has such a great cast. And is one of my favorite Mark Wahlberg movies. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

Fun Fact: Leonardo DiCaprio was originally meant to play the Mark Wahlberg role, but had to turn it down due to scheduling conflicts with TITANIC. Leo mentioned that one of his regrets was not working with PTA at the time, which he has since finally fulfilled thanks to ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER.

Haha yeah I knew this wouldnt get a YouTube release 🤣 we finally had our first soft core film for the channel 🤭🤗 PS. Yes that was a prosthetic dong at the end 😬

Adrian Duenas

I don’t think Paul Thomas Anderson and Philip Seymour Hoffman get enough credit as one of the best director/actor pairings. Some of Hoffman’s best performances came from Anderson’s writing and direction.

Luis Fernandez

Feel feel feel feet my heat!!! Burt Reynolds didn't enjoy filming this one at all. Apparently he didn't like the film's theme or the process. He never watched the final cut.

Franco V.

It's great you say this movie reminds you Pulp Fiction because to my understanding PTA and Tarantino are very good friends, they're always praising each other's work and in a way they inspire each other.

Steve Mercier

This movie is spectacular...but everytime I watch it, I feel like I need to go to rehab...or, at least blow my nose. Good stuff.

Milton Reduxed

Yes there's about a dozen YT edits I can see

Robert da Spruce

Yeah, that’d be a tough YouTube edit It’d be like “Hey everyone! Welcome back to my channel…insert SpongeBob a few minutes later meme here…thx for watching. Be sure to like and subscribe. And I’ll see you next time” 😉

Hunter DeRensis

This AND There Will Be Blood? Beautiful. Down the line I really hope you get to Punch Drunk Love, The Master, and Phantom Thread. There are so many spectacular PTA films.

It's a lot of extra work to blur out nudity and censor language, and the video would likely still get age restricted or copyright claimed because of the music in it.

Cody Cameron

True it is and it' just a suggestion. please know that. Just glad you watched it

ButtercupsTrueLove

I'm glad Addie looked up the cast on IMDb and found Alfred Molina as Rahad. I've watched "Boogie Nights" several times over the years but only more recently did I realize that he was in this movie, and that he was Satipo (mispronounced as 'Sapito' by Harrison Ford) in "Raiders of the Lost Ark". Previously, I only knew him from his later role as Dr. Otto Octavius. The first time I watched "Boogie Nights" I was surprised by the graphic nudity but when it came to the attempted robbery at Rahad's house, I was as tense as I was the first time I watched Captain Dallas being stalked by the alien in the air ducts on the Nostromo. I kept thinking that it's gonna go south at any moment and the two guys have to get their asses outta that house! Dirk Diggler may be descended from Ser Arlan of Pennytree, for those familiar with that HBO series. There's a familial similarity.

Adrian Duenas

Omg that jump scare right at the start lol 🤣

Billy Dancel

I'm glad we didn't find out if Eddie/Dirk's mom learned of his career. She was trash! Poor little Bill Two of Mark Whalberg's movies that come to mind if you are interested in... He co-stars with Jennifer Aniston In Rockstar and stars with Elizabeth Banks in Invincible (sports)

It's funny, a lot of people are talking about how much nudity there is to cut out but honestly we've had movies on the channel with as much or more racy content. 🤷🏻‍♂️ In fact personally I don't think the nudity would be a huge problem to edit out, it's actually limited to I think a handful of scenes. But I still bet this is a hard edit and that's because of the soundtrack (which is a pretty amazing one by the way! ) This film is two and a half hours long and it feels like the majority of it has popular classic rock songs blaring in the background to set the tone. I don't envy if Addie tries to edit all that out!😲 Anyway love this film, and yeah, this kind of put Mark Wahlberg on the map as a serious film star. (Technically he did Fear before this but obviously Boogie Nights was the one that really skyrocketed his success in film.) I also feel pretty safe in saying I think this is Mark Wahlberg's best film, with Ted being number 2. (So if you're looking for a Mark Wahlberg follow-up Addie, Ted is a solid pick! 😄) And by the way, I see a lot of comments about how great the cast is, but can we all agree that Burt Reynolds is dynamite in this? Talk about screen presence! P.S. As a kind of weird aside, I swear Alfred Molina looks like the spitting image of Jack De Sena of the YouTube comedy duo Chris and Jack. (Which by the way, if you haven't seen any of their sketches, go check them out, they're hilarious!)

Lanny Stanfield

I'm guessing it's not as much the nudity as it is the fact that there's constantly music playing that would keep this off YouTube. A good way to find your pr0n name is by using your first pet as your first name, then the street of your first childhood home as your last name.

Addie Counts

Yeah it's a lot more than just the nudity to edit around with this movie! The music would be a nightmare to edit out.

Milton Reduxed

I don't know what tech people are using but some reactors have started editing out music from reactions using AI, or sometimes certain instruments in the music, enough to fool the censor-bot
