Since I already watched the Daniel Craig James Bond movies a while back on the channel, my James Bond journey is coming to an end! Help me choose a new franchise to watch (or finish).

With Godzilla, I would likely start with the original 1954 movie and then jump to the Monsterverse movies starting in 2014!

The Dude Abides

Given the options I have to go with the Naked Gun movies

Danny Steele

I am a lifelong fan of Godzilla, so here is my list of the best Godzilla movies, as someone that has seen all of them, I would list Godzilla(1954) Mothra vs. Godzilla(1964), Ghidorah, the Three Headed Monster(1964), Invasion of Astro-Monster, Destroy All Monsters, Godzilla vs MechGodzilla, Terror of MechaGodzilla, all of the Heisei( 1984-1995), “Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack”Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla , Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S., Shin Godzilla, and Godzilla Minus One as the best of the Godzilla movies. The Monsterverse is great, however there are many homages to the older movies.

StonedTrunks

Godzilla would be so much fun, especially if you end up watching the other Japanese ones from the showa, heisei, and millenium series

Robert da Spruce

Lots of good choices 🤔 Equalizer is pretty good Oceans is fun Karate Kid is worth watching (mostly to get to the Cobra Kai series) Lethal Weapon sequels are good as well I frankly wouldn’t be upset with most of these choices. It’ll be interesting to see what comes out on top

Randee Carreno

Happy Tuesday, Addie! 😊 The rest of "The Karate Kid"(including the Netflix follow-up series Cobra Kai because it is a continuation of the movies) up against the "Now You See Me" trilogy!?!! LOL! As much as I would love for you to continue on with "The Karate Kid" series, I voted for the "Now You See Me" trilogy. With the rest of "The Karate Kid"/"Cobra Kai" as my second choice. Have a great day today! 😊

Dude Longcouch

I'm voting Karate Kid, but only because I'm hoping it means you'll eventually watch Cobra Kai too.

John A

I voted for view askew just for the masterpiece that is Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, but some of these movies aren't that great. You'll just need to watch Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma to understand parts of Jay and Silent Bob, but after that you can pretty much skip everything other than Clerks 2 and maybe Zack and Miri

Jon Anderson

And here was me hoping for Carry On... ;)

Blind Entertainment

Way too many good choices! Went with Now You See Me, just because they’re fun movies, and have a great cast! Can’t go wrong with Godzilla, and the monster verse though too!

Chris

The Oceans movies are all a blast

Doug

Hmm, I think out of all these my picks might be the Naked Gun movies (including the recent reboot of course) and the Lethal Weapon movies. Clerks is probably third for me after those. The rest seem "ok" , I'm not attached to them but I don't actively dislike any of them either.🤷🏻‍♂️

John A

For the love of god anything but those ridiculously terrible fast and furious movies

Philip Davetas

I'm so torn, Addie. The LETHAL WEAPONS are my favorite, but so are the PIRATES. Are you trying to murder me slowly? How far have you gotten on LETHAL? Mad Mel is supposed to come out with part five soon.

Luis Fernandez

Yay Godzilla, huge Boo! for the Monsterverse

Franco V.

I'd love to see you react to the rest of the Naked Gun movies... but I remember when I watched your reaction to the first movie and also your reaction to Airplane... It seemed those movies didn't make you laugh like other comedies did. I'm curious how enjoyable that kind of humor is for you.

Andrew Storing

Finish Karate Kid franchise, so you can watch the Cobra Kai series, it’s a great series you don’t wanna miss out on!

OldManVax

Ooh, hard disagree there. The newer ones were great, just different.

JBK405

My vote is for the View Askeeniverse, but ALSO that you watch the original 1954 "Godzilla". The Monsterverse....eh, I've got no interest.

LaserLamb

Oh well, Addie will never think of a snowball the same way! 🫣

JakeToll

View Askew please 🤞🤞

Jasbro

I had no idea the Kevin Smith/Jay and Silent Bob movies had a verse name lol, but yes please, you will have an absolute blast watching all of those.

Ar

No one should have to watch the last two pirates of the Caribbean.

Doug

But everyone should watch Michael Bolton's Lonely Island video "Jack Sparrow". 😄

Steve Mercier

CLEEEEERRRRRRRKS...but spelled just CLERKS, thank you.

Grant

I don't know if it counts as a franchise, but Guy Ritchie's two Sherlock Holmes films are a joy.

Robert Lemond

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest(1975) with Jack Nicholson

Franco V.

Fast and furious movies are over the top but still fun to watch. The worst option here is the Transformers franchise. Those movies are quite boring.

Tesh

i really enjoy the first 3 transformers (1, revenge of the fallen, Dark of the moon) and i ADORE the AU movies Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts, much better blend of the original transformers with modern imo, (im like 99% sure they're AU not part of the main set) the second movie has some humour i could do without but 3 is one of my favorite actions movies, its not award winning, not even close, but it knows what it's trying to be and runs with it and i love it for that. anywho it looks like unfortunately thats not happening this time but i hope you get to them eventually! if you do go past the original 3 i didnt see too much of them past 4, but heads up 4 has one of those conversations that as an adult now feels extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate in a call the cops kind of way

Shooter The Emu With A Gun

The millennium series definitely has some of my fav Godzilla movies, Final Wars pure campy fun that pays homage to what came before.

Shooter The Emu With A Gun

I've voted on the Transformers but are you just doing the Bay movies or are you going to include the 1986 animated movie because that is one hell of a high octane ride.

Danny Steele

I love Final Wars, because it is a ton of fun, but I was trying to just pick the best of the best for someone who isn’t a hardcore Godzilla fan.

The Dude Abides

That was my second choice after Naked Gun

Chris Capitano

Also Rush Hour series. You can continue those cause I think you’ve seen the first one if I’m correct

Chris Capitano

My bad Lol. I’m gonna have to watch them tonight
