Haven't seen it but apparently the sequel isn't very good from what I heard

The Campsite

I LOVE this film, but turned the sequel off midway through.

Happy June Addie. Haven't seen the sequel but it has low scores from critics and audiences in RT 42% and 37% respectively

Alex Tan

Happy Monday & Happy June, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Pacific Rim (2013). This is one Kaiju movie worth watching.

Adrian Duenas

Nobody does visual filmmaking like Del Toro. He always finds the best influences for every movie he makes. The movie is dedicated to Ray Harryhausen and Godzilla ‘54 director Ishirō Honda

We need a Guillermo del Toro poll

John W Foster

I have seen the sequel. It has a different director, and is much worse for it.

Billy Dancel

ADD-E: “How do you like this ship?!” Chopper: “Language, Addie!” ADD-E: “But I didn’t say what YOU said.” Chopper: “No, but you MEANT what I said.”

Franco V.

Also this movie has a short mid credits scene. I think you missed it.

Shea

Huh? There's no sequel. It's a damn shame though - love this movie.

Mister Lou

The Sequel is a fun ride.. felt rushed and it didnt have the same director, so I felt the passion wasn't there as much as this. But like I said, its a fun watch.

Doug

This movie is goofy but definitely fun. 👍 On a tangent I was also a fan of Sons of Anarchy when this came out so it was cool seeing both Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman get a reunion of sorts in this one. (Technically their characters never met in the film, but close enough! 😄) And speaking of Ron Perlman, when Addie mentioned in the video the only other Guillermo del Toro film she's watched on the channel was Pans Labyrinth, I was kind of surprised because for some reason I kept (incorrectly) thinking she had watched Hellboy already. I'm wrong though, so fingers crossed she watches Hellboy eventually too, it's pretty cool. 😊 (And the sequel Hellboy II The Golden Army is maybe even better which is kind of unusual for sequels!)

Michael Kemmet

I don't what you were seeing, but there's no sequel to Pacific Rim. None at all. Nope. Ignore anything that claims there is one. This is for the sake of your sanity. (all copies of Uprising should be burned, then the ashes buried at the bottom of the ocean next to the breach)

The Dude Abides

Charlie Day makes this movie so much better,

Addie Counts

Ooops didn't know that! I'll make sure to watch it for the YouTube edit.

David Lonewolf Wright

I say skip the sequel and maybe watch the knock off version of this movie called Atlantic Rim. It has some laughable acting, CGI, and story and I rather watch that again than Uprising.
