Oh, Jesse is one of my favorite characters in all of television. His character arc through the show is a masterpiece. Same with Walt. you wont be able to get enough of them despite how much "breaking bad" they do.

Yes the humor aspect of the show is something you'll find especially in early seasons. I think as the story progresses and the stakes are higher it becomes less common in later seasons. Vince Gilligan (the creator) always finds a way to include humor in his stories... I don't know if you ever saw The X-Files. He wrote a lot of episodes of that show and some are very funny... Also Pluribus (his new show) has a lot of humor despite being a sci fi drama.

Please don't stop after this season. It only gets better with Season 2, believe it or not.

Addie, the reason Season 1 is so short is at the time they were making it, there was a TV & movie writers' strike in Hollywood, so they had to rethink the end of Season 1 & the beginning of Season 2. They moved what was to be the last 2 episodes of Season 1 & made them the first 2 episodes of Season 2. That way, they had some extra time to alter the story line & do some rewriting before shooting. I don't think this is a spoiler to tell you that they were planning on killing off Jesse at the end of Season 1, but decided he's just too good of a character, & Aaron Paul's portrayal was too brilliant to get rid of. So Season 2 has 13 episodes You're right, there's a lot of comedic moments in the show, but keep enough tissues close by, you're gonna need those eventually. Mo' Addie mo'! Go Addie go! ✨️💖✨️

Correct, his character was suppose to die in the last episode of season 1 but they chose to rewrite it all because of his and walters amazing chemistry together.
