Emilio is my boy. Dig YOUNG GUNS but never watched these flicks.

Robert da Spruce

What’s Quack-a-lackin’ Addie 😊 Fun, wholesome film! Looking forward to your reaction!

Alex Tan

Happy Monday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed The Mighty Ducks (1992). This is one Disney sports franchise that I need to get into. Quack! Quack! Quack!

Adrian Duenas

I don’t really watch hockey but I’ll always root for the Anaheim Ducks because of this movie and the sequels. Quack! Quack!

The Dude Abides

This movie came out right around the time I started playing hockey as a kid so I have a lot of fond memories of this. Of all the sports I played hockey was by far the most fun. The second movie in the trilogy is my favorite even if it’s ridiculous. The third is decent, I don’t remember much about it though. I just realized I don’t think I’ve watched the original film in probably 30 years

Baldemort

Addie. do you plan on watching the other 2 films? Each film is better than the last imo

The Dude Abides

Another sports movie you would absolutely adore since you love the Rocky movies so much is Cinderella Man starring Russel Crowe and Renee Zellweger

Randee Carreno

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 I love this one. Emilio Estevez and a young Joshua Jackson(from the show "Dawson's Creek", which I highly recommend). ❤️ I hope that you end up watching the remaining two movies. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

BLGFish

Definitely was looking forward to this after seeing it win the recent poll. The 2nd and 3rd movies are also worth checking out if you like the first one.

Chris

2 and 3 are just as fun too!

Billy Dancel

This was a fun start to the week! TBH, I had forgotten about the last poll. It must be the summer heat affecting my brain

Doug

Yeah, I'm probably about 6.5 out of 10 on this, it's kind of by the numbers but still ok. 😊 I definitely don't know why it's only 25% on Rotten Tomatoes, I'm usually closer on ratings with them but that seems way too low. P.S. And yeah, it was funny seeing young Foggy Nelson. 😄

Blind Entertainment

Always loved this movie! One of the reasons is because I love an underdog story. Hope you watch the sequels at some point in the future. The critics score might be 27%, but the audience is 65%. I always say go with the audience, over the critics.

Justin

Grew up watching this whole franchise. You ABSOLUTELY need to watch D2 and D3 since you loved this one.😊

Robert da Spruce

Fun fact: The professional NHL hockey team, The Anaheim Ducks, was named for this movie A year after this film came out, the NHL announced they were expanding the league by adding two more teams. One of the teams was owned by Disney. And they named it The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim Eventually, Disney sold the team. And the name got shortened to the Anaheim Ducks. But they still sport the same team logo used in the MIghty Ducks 2 movie

John A

And so the Ducks were born, fun movie that started the hockey team. Big time Anaheim Ducks fan here

John A

Love the Anaheim Ducks. season ticket holder here.

Joe Blankenship

Another really funny movie from this era with some of these same kids is "Heavyweights." It's also got Ben Stiller playing the proto-version of his Dodgeball character. And I believe it was Judd Apatow's first film writing job.

Joe Mallard

Hope you watch the rest of them! If you want more great hockey movies, the true story Miracle.

EmAtinyDragon

If you want another hockey movie with a lot of heart, I have heard Miracle is great! You should also check out Friday Night Lights! There is a movie and TV show. I have only seen the show, but it’s sooo good! It’s about football; I loved it and I don’t even follow football.

Bill Rudd

For what it's worth, D2 is a perfect sequel and my favorite of the trilogy as a kid. Would love to see your reaction some day!
