Supergirl is already confirmed to appear in Man of Tomorrow next year

Happy Wednesday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Supergirl (2026). I did see this in theaters with one of my best friends on the 4th of July. He liked it, but it was kinda a hit or miss for me.

Franco V.

I just saw you mentioned that in your commentary 😅... Man of Tomorrow will have a big cast. Blue Beetle and John Stewart (one of the Green Lanterns) are also confirmed for the movie.

Adrian Duenas

I thought Super-Addie was trying to do a superhero punch (POW!!!) at the beginning. Nope a cape transition lol whoops 🤣

Rob

No matter the opinion on the film, everyone agrees Milly Alcock is the perfect Supergirl

Luv the cosplay Addie! Ollie must have made a great Krypto too 😊

messed with the wrong dog…

Not sure why all the hate with this one...I loved it. Good stuff.

Joe Blankenship

The Snyderverse fans are not happy with the new DC at all.

Jasbro

Or just maybe these arnt good movies?, not everyone who doesnt like the new DC stuff are hardcore Snyder fanboys that hate everything not made by him.

Jasbro

I liked this movie less than Superman which i thought was just an ok movie as well, they are far from the worst superhero movies and i am interested to see where they go in the future, seeing Lex in his mech suit for Man of Tomorrow was pretty sweet i will admit.

She's good, but no one will play her like Mellissa Benoist though.

Blind Entertainment

This movie definitely doesn’t deserve the hate it gets. Sure it’s not a perfect movie, but it’s still an ok/decent film. The hate mainly comes from misogyny from people on the internet. Milly Alcock does a good job in the role, and can’t wait to see her in future movies.

Robert da Spruce

I thought the film was pretty good. I enjoyed Milly Alcock’s performance as Supergirl It was interesting to see her background. I don’t know much about Supergirl lore. So I don’t know if this take is canon Her dad was played by Mr. Universe in Serenity. So that was a cool surprise The bucket of “poopcorn” was kinda gross. The space slurpee looked alright though 😊 All in all, a fun summertime film!

If you want messy Superhero that you still root for check out Jessica Jones.

Joe Blankenship

Yeah, I really enjoyed that one. And I haven't heard anybody say that it wasn't good. I guess people just didn't feel like seeing it in the theater? I didn't go either, so I dunno. Didn't see Superman in the theater either, but wished I had.

I did not like this movie, never been a fan of this Supergirl. It also missed what the comic was. it became very surface level. It seemed to try to make you feel sorry for her, but I really did not, it did not draw me in. Also did not really care for the villain he was bland. Not sure what people liked about it. One thing I liked was it went back to show what happened to Kandor,

Finally got around to watching this one, was just waiting for the price to go down a bit. I thought it was ok, 6.5 out of 10, 7 maybe? So a little bit higher for me than it's Rotten Tomatoes score of about 55%. Gunn's Superman was definitely better, but I don't think one was bad. 😊 If I had to point out where I'd knock a few points off I think it's mainly that the plot had some holes in it (e.g. why not just take Krypto for a yellow sun stroll, wouldn't that cure him of pretty much anything other than Kryptonite poisoning?), and the main bad guy Krem wasn't all that interesting (compared to, say, Lex Luthor in the previous film for instance). And while Lobo is a fun character in general, he feels kind of tacked on in this movie. I think it's that sort of thing where you can tell the difference between when Gunn actually writes and directs a film (e.g. Superman, The Suicide Squad, Guardians of the Galaxy) versus is mainly acting as a producer. (Plus I have a funny feeling if Gunn had directed it he might have played Ace of Spades when Lobo cuts loose on his bike. 😄) But otherwise the action scenes were fun and, of course, there were some other cute bits like the brief conversations with Clark and just generally having Krypto around for part of the film. P.S. By the way, Addie said the next DC film is Man of Tomorrow, but actually the next one is Clayface coming out around Halloween. (No idea how good or bad it will be, but hopefully it'll be ok. 😊)

Your reactions are always a breath of fresh air. However, this move was horrible. No wonder it bombed at the box office. The DCU will probably recast her.
