Dang, I’m falling way behind on your BB reactions. Hopefully, I can get caught up soon 🤞

Fun fact: the blonde girl student that speaks at the gym is Bryan Cranston's daughter Taylor Dearden. Now she is an Emmy nominated actress for the show The Pitt.

Welcome back to The Sweet Baby Jesse Show

Addie Counts

Woah! I didn't know that she's his daughter!

So the men in Mexico were part of a religious pilgrimage pay respects to Santa Muerte, the saint of death. They are obviously very dangerous guys as the man in the truck who said he's done work for gangsters before clearly seemed to recognise them. Guess they wanted no witnesses of their crossing in the US! The explosion right at the end was WAY bigger than it was meant to be in filming. The two actors (who are brothers themselves) said they could feel the warmth from it and saw things fly past them, but they kept their cool and made the take work! Walt is feeling pretty defeated after losing Skyler then realising that he had a connection to the people & causality of the plane crash. He flicked the matches into the pool after his cancer diagnosis, the last time he felt utterly defeated. Then tries to burn his money. Then he straight up tells Hank that he's got half a mil in the bag. Now we know that Hank wouldn't buy it, but it does tell me that Walt is sort of willing to give it all up. He even finally admits to Skyler about cooking meth! I still think there's a pride element to it of him wanting to be recognised for cooking a hard drug, not one of these soft ones haha. But he's definitely feeling guilty as his speech at the high school shows. And so he tries to deflect it with blaming dated equipment & bureaucracy. And he clearly still has guilt over Domingo, his first proper kill, by him cutting the crusts off his PB&J. Skyler's proposal to Walt is definitely objectively reasonable. But, in context, you have to remember that a major reason Walt got into this business is for his family. Now the reveal of what he's been doing is going to cost him his family! That's a non-starter for him. Also got to remember that Walt didn't really expect (or even hope) to still be alive at this point. He was banking on cashing in and checking out. He didn't plan for this. He even said to Saul in S2E9 "if she finds out, it's after I'm gone" Him living has meant he's lost control of things, in a weird way.

I love that Skylar figured it out. She knew Walt was getting big money somewhere. And I'm sure this divorce will go smoothly and things will be great for Skylar. And it's fun to see people see the twins for the first time. Los primos mortales!

Addie is on to it! The wake of Walt's actions is vast and fascinating to follow in this series.
