Here's the full length reaction to The Birds, the winner of our Hitchcock poll! At the time of recording this, this movie was only ONE vote ahead of North by Northwest, so I'm planning on watching that one soon as well. Enjoy!

Fun fact: The little girl who plays the sister is Veronica Cartwright. You saw her in the first Alien movie, she was the other female crew member of the ship beside Sigourney Weaver.

Happy Wednesday, Addie. I'm so glad that you watched The Birds (1963). This is another quintessential Alfred Hitchcock movie, that I also enjoy alongside Rear Window (1954), Vertigo (1958), North By Northwest (1959) and Psycho (1960). BTW, there is no music in this movie, save for Claude Debussy's Deux arabesques & Rissle-dy, Rossle-dy, but only bird sounds courtesy of the so-called Mixtur-Trautonium, an early synthesizer. And all of the special effects were done courtesy of Ub Iwerks, the co-creator of Mickey Mouse.

And speaking of Tippi Hedren, I also suggest Marnie (1964), another Alfred Hitchcock movie, also with Sean Connery. #MarnieForAddieCounts

Addie. Would you consider watching the original 'It' from the 90s this October in honor to Tim Curry who sadly just passed away

Julian San

Oh, great. Now that damn kid’s school song will be stuck in my head all over again!

Adrian Duenas

One of my favorite Hitchcock movies. Can’t wait to see your North by Northwest reaction soon! 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛

you’re a trivia champ Addie—there’s nothing you can’t handle 👍

I'm glad you're going to watch North by Northwest. Cary Grant is one of the giants of cinema, and apparently you've never watched one of his films. And North by Northwest is his most iconic role.

"Are the birds gonna eat us, Mommy?"

Tim Heron

They didn't call Hitchcock the Master of Suspense for no reason.

Birdo-phobe checking in... dang this movie makes me tense! My jaw clenched when we entered the bird shop and didn't relax till we were done. Gotta go have a stiff drink or something. I love this movie!!! Heh

Lol, I ended up rewatching the SNL skit of the "deleted scenes" from The Birds. Love those "Cinema Classics" sketches. 😄
